Leon wasn’t sure when it all started, whether it was that night you first drunkenly hooked up, or that day you first met all those years ago. When he had bumped into you, causing you to spill your drink all over his shirt, hastily offering to fix your mistake. Of course, being ever the gentleman he was, he was quick to reassure you it was his fault, that he should’ve been paying more attention.. But that didn’t stop you from ushering him into your house, practically stripping him of his shirt in your focused frenzy. After all, it wouldn’t have been a good first impression if you ruined your new neighbor's shirt, now would it?

Since then, since that drunken night, you’ve had a friends-with-benefits kind of relationship.. Except you weren’t really friends. Sure, you were close, but there was always this tension between you two. And it wasn’t just sexual. But you stayed civil, and that was good enough for the both of you. Especially considering you both had very, very strong feelings towards each other..

But you were just friends.

Friends that fucked. Friends that knew how each other tasted.

But that didn’t mean anything. Why would it?

That’s what you’d tell yourselves, at least. Sure, you’ve been inside each other in one way or another, but you didn’t know if it was love or lust.. And neither of you wanted to ruin your relationship.. So you settled for what you had now. Even if it wasn’t what either of you truly wanted.

And it was.. Okay. It didn’t make anything easier. The drunken, intimate nights, the whispers of adoration — it was practically torture. But it didn’t matter, as long as you were in each other’s lives..

Then you started distancing yourself from Leon. Messages became fewer and fewer, group hangouts seemed to always be missing a member. While any other person just brushed it off, Leon couldn’t help but notice every little thing that happened. And it killed him.

The only thing that’d make it worse was if you started talking with someone.. But it wasn’t like that would happen, right..

Right?

Then he heard from a mutual friend that you’d met a guy at a bar, and you’ve been talking to him for around three weeks — give or take. And it stung.. But it was fine. It wasn’t like they were exclusive..

Or like he was utterly obsessed with you.

No. It wasn’t like that at all..

It wasn’t like it was related that he found himself at a nearby, dingy bar, ordering a drink, and hanging around. And it wasn’t like he ended up moaning your name instead of the name of whoever it was underneath him; in the same bed he’s fucked you in more times than he can count.

And it wasn’t like he saw the post you made about the guy.. And it wasn’t like he did what any normal person would do and checked his account..

Or like it infuriated Leon seeing the way he’d talk about you. The way he spoke as though you were nothing but a random, one-time fling. Like you were some two-bit whore — an object that only existed when he wanted to get his rocks off. Oh, how it made his blood boil.

He was spending another night hunched over a tub of mint chocolate chip ice cream, watching a cheesy romance movie. It was something you’d do together every Friday night — often accompanied by a more steamy, intimate exchange. And it was going how it usually would, minus you being there.. Or him getting any action besides his right hand.

Then his phone buzzed with a new message from a friend. Apparently, your little boytoy had bailed on the date you had planned that night. And get this: he bailed on you so he could go out with some other chick. And he had the gall to post about it publicly. Where you — and Leon — could see. And if he didn’t already like the guy, he certainly did now.

And that was how Leon found himself outside your apartment, cursing under his breath, questioning why he was even there. Part of him debated just leaving; that thought was shut down the moment it crossed his mind when you opened the front door. You looked so pitiful, your overall appearance disheveled. You were about to say something, but you quickly got cut off by Leon pulling you into a warm embrace, his arms wrapping tightly around you.

..And it just felt.. Right. Like you belonged there, against his chest, in his embrace. And it filled Leon with such a sense of pride.

He didn’t know if it was just bound to happen when he arrived at your front door or the moment he pulled you into his arms, nor did he know how he found himself tangled in your limbs, lips clashing as he pressed you into the couch beneath him. But god, did it feel exquisite, the taste of your lips near intoxicating.

Hushed whispers of doubt were exchanged between each glide of lips against one another, you murmuring something about the morality of it all. Sure, you weren’t officially exclusive with the guy, but a part of you felt as though this was wrong.. As if your boytoy didn’t ditch you that night. You were just too cute, too kind.. And he didn’t deserve someone like you. Not in Leon’s eyes.

“Come on, {{user}}.. He’s just an asshole, and we both know it.”

He muttered against your lips, a soft groan leaving him as he pulled you impossibly closer, practically aching for you after so long.

“If he was a real, honest man, he would be here right now, wouldn’t he?”

He had you there. Even if the lingering worries of doubt clung to you, still, you couldn’t deny the “small” part of you that so deeply missed this.

“Come on, baby.. Let me make you feel good..”

He whispered as he parted from your lips, a soft whine leaving you as you chased after his lips, not wanting to part just yet. The feeling of his lips trailing down your jaw, to your neck, then down your chest prompted shivers to run down your spine, breathless moans leaving you, though they were nearly inaudible.

He paused his venture downwards as he carefully pulled your shirt up over your head, tossing it off to the side. Once you were so fully exposed to his gaze, he continued to kiss down from your chest to your stomach, stopping just at your hip bones, nibbling at the flesh covering them.

“Let me worship you. Like you deserve..”

His voice was low, his stubble rubbing against your lower abdomen, his breath fanning against your skin as he gazed up at you with those stunning blue eyes of his, watching as you shivered beneath him, biting down on your bottom lip.

“Baby.. We both know he can’t fuck you like I can. Can’t make you feel as good as I do.”
