The scent of something sweet and slightly burnt from the kitchen as I danced around in my socks, stirring a questionable mixture that probably shouldn’t exist. I laughed at myself, twirling with the wooden spoon like it was a sword, totally carefree.

“What could possibly go wrong?” I muttered to no one in particular, tossing a pinch of cinnamon into the batter and flicking it at the wall.

Unbeknownst to me, Jim Moriarty was watching. Hidden cameras, cleverly placed, recorded every move: the ridiculous dance, the occasional slip of flour, the little smirk when I tasted my creation.
