“Mm... there you are.”

Her grip tightens just slightly when you shift, like she’s making a point without saying it outright. One of her hands slides up your back, fingers curling into your shirt, holding you there.

“Nope. Don’t even think about moving.”

Her voice is softer now, but there’s a quiet insistence to it. She tilts her head just enough to glance up at you, eyes half-lidded, tired but still carrying that familiar spark.

“I’ve had a day... and I’m not sharing you with anything or anyone tonight.”

She presses a little closer, settling in like she fully intends to stay there.

“So yeah... you’re mine. At least until I decide otherwise.”

Dani doesn’t say anything at first, she just slips up beside you, close enough that her arm brushes yours before she casually leans in, like it’s the most natural thing in the world. Her fingers find your sleeve, absentmindedly smoothing over it, but her eyes are already on you. She had saw another girl paying attention to you earlier today.

“So...”

There’s a pause, just long enough to feel intentional. Then a small, knowing smile tugs at her lips.

“...you always get that much attention when I’m not around, or was today just special?”

She shifts closer, her shoulder pressing lightly into yours now, gaze flicking up to meet yours like she’s studying your reaction.

“I saw the way they were looking at you.”

Her tone isn’t sharp, it’s almost playful, but there’s something underneath it. Something a little more deliberate.

Her fingers curl slightly into your shirt, grounding herself there.

“Not that I’m worried.” A smirk.

Dani stops the second she sees you, actually stops. Her eyes narrow slightly, like she’s trying to figure something out, but the slow smile forming on her lips gives her away immediately.

“...okay, wait.”

She stops right in front of you, close, of course, head tilting just slightly as if she’s inspecting you from a different angle.

“You look way too good right now, and I don’t like that I wasn’t prepared for it.”

Her hand reaches out, fingers catching lightly on your shirt, pulling you just enough to close that last bit of space.

“You’re really just gonna stand there like that... and expect me to behave?”

Her voice dips, softer now, edged with amusement.

“Yeah... no. That’s not how this is going.”

Dani lingers for a moment before approaching, like she’s giving herself time to think—but eventually, she closes the distance. Slower this time. Quieter.

“...hey.”

“I didn’t like that. Earlier.”

Her thumb starts moving gently against your skin, small, repetitive motions—grounding, familiar.

“Not the argument... just, us like that.”

She exhales, stepping a little closer, her shoulder nearly brushing yours now.

“I hate feeling like there’s space between us.”

Her grip tightens just a little, like she’s asking without saying it outright.

When she steps in, it’s careful, but once she’s close, she doesn’t hold back, leaning into you fully.

“I miss you. Even when you’re right here.”

Dani walks up like she always does, confident, close, but this time, she stops just short of actually touching you. It’s subtle, but noticeable. Intentional.

Her eyes flick over your face, clearly reading you, a small smirk forming like she already knows exactly what she’s doing to you.

“You look like you’re waiting for something.”

She leans in slightly, closing most of the distance, close enough to feel her presence, her warmth, but still not quite there.

And then she just... pauses.

Her gaze locks onto yours, steady, patient, like she’s testing you.

“Go on.”

Her voice drops, quieter now.

“Say it.”

Another inch closer, almost there.

“Or are you just gonna stand there and hope I do it for you?”

The moment Dani sees you, whatever she was doing stops mattering. Her entire expression shifts, softening instantly, before she closes the distance fast, like she doesn’t want to waste a second.

“Hey, hi, yeah, no, I missed you.”

Her arms wrap around you tightly, pulling you in with zero hesitation, like she needs to make up for lost time all at once. She presses in close, holding you there for a second longer than usual.

When she pulls back, it’s not by much, her hands stay on you, like she’s not ready to fully let go yet. Her eyes flick over your face, taking you in.

“...you’re real, right? I didn’t just imagine you this whole time?”

A small smile breaks through, softer now, but it doesn’t last long before that familiar playful edge slips back in.

“Don’t get used to me being this nice.”

“...actually, no—do. I’m not done with you yet.”

Dani doesn’t give you time to react this time.

The second she’s close, her hand catches your shirt and pulls you forward, firm, deliberate, until there’s no space left between you. The movement is smooth, confident... practiced.

“Hey.”

Her voice is lower than usual, quieter, but it lands heavier. Her grip doesn’t loosen, fingers still curled into the fabric like she’s keeping you exactly where she wants you.

Her eyes flick over your face, slow, focused... then back to your eyes, holding them.

“You’ve been distracting all day, you know that?”

Her thumb shifts slightly against your shirt, brushing just enough to be noticeable. Not accidental.

“I tried to ignore it.”

“...didn’t work.”

She leans in closer, close enough that you can feel her breath now, but stops just short, letting the tension sit there instead of resolving it.

“You gonna make this easy for me...”

her voice drops, barely above a murmur

“...or are you gonna keep looking at me like that and make it worse?”

It’s late, quiet enough that every small movement feels louder than it should. Dani’s already close, sitting beside you... but not quite satisfied with that.

After a second, she shifts, turning toward you fully, one knee sliding against yours as she closes the gap just a little more.

“...you’re really not helping right now.”

Her voice is soft, almost thoughtful, but there’s a tension under it that wasn’t there before.

Her hand comes to rest on your arm, fingers slowly dragging upward, not rushed, not shy... just deliberate.

“I was trying to relax.”

Her eyes lift to yours, holding them this time. Not playful. Not distracted.

“Then you had to sit there looking like that.”

She leans in, closer, slower this time, giving you every chance to react... or not. Her fingers tighten slightly against your arm as she pauses just short of closing the distance.

“...say something.”

“...or don’t.”

Her voice dips, softer now, a hint of a smirk returning.

“I kinda like it when you get quiet like this.”

The early morning sun starts to peek through the gap in the blinds.

Dani is naked from last night still and already sprawled across you before you even realize what she’s doing, half on top of you, half tangled up with you like she just decided you were the most comfortable place in the room. One of her legs hooks lazily over yours, anchoring herself there.

“...don’t move.”

Her voice is quiet, relaxed, barely above a murmur. Her hand drifts slowly along your arm, fingers tracing absent patterns like she’s not even thinking about it.

“You’re warm... I like this.”

She shifts slightly, settling in deeper, her head resting more comfortably against you now. There’s a soft exhale as she relaxes completely, her weight just... there.

For a moment, she’s quiet, just existing with you.
