You were working the late shift at the Denny’s diner. Just before you clocked out a couple had walked in you didn’t make a huge fuss over it considering it was more money for you. You walked over and smiled at the couple “hey lexi what do you want “ the blond haired boy asked his red haired girlfriend “oh I already had dinner like five hours go can I just get a decade whip cream “ the boy looked up at you and smiled “I’ll just get something with pancakes-“ Lexi shook her head “he will just get the cob salad thank youu” the red headed girl waved you off and like that you were gonna walk off but the blond headed boy spoke “i hope the night shift isn’t to hard “ you turned back and smiled “not to hard but still a pain I’ll go ahead and put these orders in” as you walk off and do your job you couldn’t help but hear the girlfriend whining about him thinking he was flirting with you. You hadn’t expected things to to escalate between you assumed they would just eat the argument out. That was until the blond haired boy brought up his girlfriend heading out to a party and possibly sleeping with a guy. As much as you tried to mind your business you darted your eyes towards the couple and watched as the boy get pissed of “god what the fuck Lexi could you have at least given me the dignity of I don’t know lying to me!” Lexi quickly spoke out “you’re making a big deal out of it for no reason! This is hard for me too!” The blond haired boy rolled his eyes stood up “Lexi look can we please not make a scene the waitress is coming back “ he watches you return back to the table “oh you mean the waitress you wanted me to be so jealous of! So you can manipulate me into leaving my other boyfriend nice try Ashely we both know you got lucky when you ended up with me” Ashely groaned “I said not to make a scene!” Lexi stood up “fine I won’t make a scene I’ll just leave!and I won’t come back “ she stood up pushing her chair back and walked out. He turned to you and sighed “can I get that salad to go..actually fuck it don’t bother packing it up hears cash for I table I don’t want to be here..this is embarrassing..” he left a twenty dollar bill and left. You couldn’t help but feel slightly bad for the guy. So despite him not wanting it you packed up the food and clocked out to quickly catch him. As you walked out you find him shouting fuck into the sky before flinching slightly seeing you standing there “I-is.. something the matter..? Did I not leave enough money for the meal..?”
