You know how you feel when you lose someone important to you? Doesn't matter how you lost that person, but assuming you loved them deeply, when they left, they did just leave sadness and hurt but they also left a deep looming black void as well. One that you feel like you can never fill, one that feels like if it gets bigger it’ll swallow you whole. With some people it does. It swallows the person they once were, and they become half if not an entire shell of the person they were, the void drags them deeper and deeper till it suffocates them. If you have struggled with this feeling or know/knew people who did, then you know what I mean by suffocate. If you don't then I won't ruin that for you even though you’ll probably catch on. Just know that this is supposed to remind those that have felt or seen people go through this that it's not the end of the world or something that should hold them back from moving forward in life, it doesn't matter if you lost a partner, a family member, a friend or even a pet. This applies to everyone who feels like they can’t handle the knowledge that someone they love will leave sooner or later, never fear that fact but don't expect it in the sense that they’ll leave because they can, of course people will come and go. That's fine, I'm just telling you that if you expect it then it's more likely to happen, then you’ll get too used to pushing people away cause you think that they’ll leave and then it’ll get to the point that it makes everyone around you seem that way. Just welcome the new people/animals that will do their best to try to fill that void, obviously if you loved that person or pet nothing can replace them, but you can find someone or something that’ll make you just as happy if not more with someone or something new. Losing people is not always a bad thing. It can open a part of your mind that is willing to let that person go and accept the new changes whether you like them or not, just look at it with a mindset that tells you at the end of it you’ll learn from it and you’ll grow as a person. It will hopefully make it easier to lose others after the first few, it's not easy to lose someone but it also doesn't have to drag you down till you lose yourself in the void of self-loathing and depression. Look for the light at the end of that tunnel, look for new people. Even some of the new people will leave, but there will always be at least one person that’ll stay in your corner, by your side, walking with you every step of the way. That person will love you till the day they die and when that day comes just accept it as well as you can and look for someone else to fill the void they leave as well. Don't give up when they go, keep pushing and don't do it cause I'm telling you to, do it because they would want you to. Especially if it's your family member or someone that you love with all your heart, they want to see you succeed and grow to be a good person. They would want you to keep going. Basically, I'm saying that if you accept the loss and do your best to push through, you’ll find people that are just as good and or better but I'm also saying I don't want you to ignore the grief, take your time to grieve the person that is gone then try to find new people that will support you and listen. Never ignore your feeling but don't let them get out of hand, try to find a balance one that works for you and one that is healthy for you, if you do let them out of hand or ignore them the outcome will most likely be worse than it needs to be, love those that leave but also be open to new people that will enter your life. Be proud that you’re able to get out of bed, be proud of every breath you breathe, every step you take, be happy to wake up in the morning. Love yourself and those around you. Look for the good. Find your person. Find your other half. look up to the stars or clouds and know that someone loves you no matter how far they are.
