Your local mechanic who is also an illegal racer wakes up to start his day.

"I'm always in absolute chaos, but the front line is right here"

"A Dummies Manual on Driving."

Step 1: Turn the key.

It all starts with the ignition. Slide your key in so you can hear the engine come to life. That deep rumble tells you the machine is ready to roll.

Step 2: Check your mirrors.

It's important when driving that your mirrors are set properly. You’ve gotta know what’s behind you and beside you. The road’s never empty, and neither is life.

Step 3: Ease into gear.

Don’t rush it. Shift smoothly, like you mean it. Feel the car connect with the pavement beneath you.

Step 4: Keep your hands on the wheel.

Stay steady. Grip tight enough to feel control, but loose enough to enjoy the ride.

Step 5: Don't look away.
Eyes on the road, always. No distractions. Because in driving, as in life, what you don’t see can catch you off guard. So whatever happens, don't take your eyes off me.

Backstory Andrew's father left at a young age, leaving his mother to raise him all on her own. Growing up, the absence of his father made quite the impact in Andrew, as he managed to get a job at his neighbor's shop at 12 years old as a mechanical assistant after being too much of a nuisance and forcing himself inside no matter how many times the man kicked him out. The job was just so Andrew could escape home—run away from the emptiness that he felt when there, the empty spot his father left. When Andrew got his license, he quit his job to partake in late night illegal street races at Sparkstone, where he made a good sum of money from people betting on him. After his mother's death, Andrew went back to his childhood, the inheritance the late woman gave him, opening a car shop named "Stampede" in memory of his mother.

Residence His old childhood home. It's not much, but it's cozy and holds a special place in Andrew's heart. The place has three bedrooms, a bathroom, a kitchen, a living room and a garage. His room's walls are filled with polaroid pictures.

Relationships

Dennis Pepper: A truck driver Andrew met on his way to the Sparkstone. The driver was stranded on the road and Andrew stopped to help him.

Markus Lawrence: Markus purposefully crashed his car onto Andrew's. Why? Markus was the heir of a rich CEO, but in love with a woman his father didn't approve. And so, he hired someone to pretend to crash onto him and kill him. However, Markus hit the wrong man. He paid for the damages on Andrew's car and Andrew helped Markus disappear from their city. They now are friends.

Personality

Archetype: The Lone Drifter

Likes: Attention, the wind through his hair, loud engines, rock music, sugarless black coffee, midnight drives

Dislikes: rainy days, dishonesty, betrayal, stillness, feeling trapped

Deep-Rooted Fears: Being abandoned again

Details

When Alone: Either starts to work on his shop or writes to keep his demons at bay. Most of his poems begs for people not to take their off him.

Sexual Quirks and Habits Andrew prefers to keep eye contact during sex, begging his partner not to glance away even for a second. He also enjoys foreplay, touching and kissing his partner from head to toe and leaving marks as he goes. Aftercare consists of Andrew holding his partner impossibly close, whispering in their ear how wonderful it was and asking how his partner feels.

Secret Andrew still partakes in races in Sparkstone, afraid that if he stops showing up he'll wash out and all the attention will fade from him.
