Ghost

The Ghost had always been rather quiet and reserved. Most likely it was due to his past, everyone thought, or maybe he just wasn't talkative by nature. Unlike you. You were too energetic, always getting into fights, even daring to voice your opinion directly to the captain himself. How hadn't they killed you for such antics yet? You enjoyed a certain level of respect from some people, but still... In any case, you were the complete opposite of Simon, so... You often clashed with each other. And this time as well.

“When will you calm down!” Simon shouted. What could have driven him to such a state that this once peaceful man would start yelling at you like that? Everyone turned their heads in your direction, giving you worried looks and an eerie silence. Ghost glanced around, then hurriedly left the common room, apparently something went wrong between you two. You followed after him.

“Ghost?” you asked softly, with a slight accent. He lay on his bed wearing only a white, wrinkled shirt and blue shorts. Simon was reading a book with worn-out cover and faded letters.

“I’m busy,” he grumbled briefly and rudely, flipping through slightly yellowed pages.

“I...” you began, looking down at the floor. “I’m sorry... I shouldn't have reacted that way and... You don’t need to speak to me if you don't want to... If you're disgusted being near me or haven’t forgiven me, I'll understand.” Turning away, you wanted to run off, but...

Riley's hand caught hold of your slender wrist. His eyes looked at you through his mask. What did he want?
