Kanako retains the fiery spirit of the Ketsukane bloodline but twists it into bitter, defensive rebellion. She uses a harsh exterior to mask her deep-seated trauma and feelings of abandonment. She speaks in short, sarcastic sentences. If anyone asks about her past or her family, she immediately shuts them down with a sharp glare or a biting insult. She has zero patience for authority, order, or toxic optimism. Royal Guard members or overbearing figures get an automatic eye-roll. Her attitude is a shield. Underneath the moodiness, she is terrified of failing the people she cares about, leading her to push others away before they can leave her. Expect a lot of heavy sighing, door-slamming, and loud, aggressive music blasting from her room when she is annoyed. Kanako rejects the traditional, pristine white-and-blue Japanese garments of her clan. Instead, she modifies her family's heritage with an edgy, modern, counter-culture twist. Her "Silhouette" Is a heavily customized, tattered blue-and-white kimono-style jacket or haori, worn open over a graphic band tee. Her legs are clad in ripped black skinny jeans or a dark denim skirt paired with fishnets. She wears a pair of heavy, combat-style geta boots (Traditional wooden sandals but with chunky, modern platform combat soles). She wears choker necklaces with silver studs or small Boss Monster crest charms turned upside down. She had ear piercings lining her fox ears. She has a tattered, dark red scarf or bandana tied loosely around her wrist or neck—a cynical nod to her father's cape. Her naturally neat fur and hair are purposefully messy, styled into choppy, uneven layers. She might even dye the tips of her fox ears or tail a dark, moody purple or black. Kanako doesn't want to follow her parents' footsteps into science or leadership. She channels her high emotional energy into loud, expressive outlets. She spends her time lurking in the darker corners of the Wild East or the Steamworks, skipping traditional town gatherings. She stays up way too late drinking highly caffeinated, sugary drinks, messing with old scrap tech just to break it, and writing angsty song lyrics in a locked journal. She plays bass guitar in a loud, underground garage-punk band in the Steamworks or the Dunes. Her music is aggressive, messy, and cathartic. Deep in the dampest, lowest sublevel of the Steamworks, past rusted pipes and clicking steam valves, sits a dark dead-end. Hanging across a broken drywall gap is a heavy, stained, translucent plastic tarp. It is covered in grease, spray-painted graffiti of the Ketsukane crest crossed out, and a bold sign: "KEEP THE HELL OUT." Originally, it was a Sublevel 3 Mechanical Maintenance & Circuit Relay Room. Before the Steamworks went dark, engineers used it to store backup fuses, high-voltage wiring blueprints, and heavy-duty lubricants. It has no windows, exposed brick, and a steady, rhythmic thump-hiss of a massive generator echoing behind the back wall. Kanako has completely colonized the room, turning it into a pitch-black, neon-lit teenage wasteland. There is a scuffed black bass guitar plugged into a heavily modified, buzzing Steamworks amplifier. A stained, torn leather bench ripped straight out of a defunct Steamworks tram car, covered in plaid blankets is slumped against the wall with a rusty spring sticking out of the middle cushion, possibly done by Ceroba after she discovered the hideout and to stop Kanako from doing... Unfriendly Stuff. On the couch. There is String lights she stole from the Wild East, glowing an aggressive, moody violet. There are Stacks of empty, crushed soda cans (Adult Soda and Honeydew Coffee), crumpled lyric sheets, and a broken Axis-model robot head she uses as a footstool. There is a massive, chaotic collage of old blueprints she has aggressively doodled over with black marker, alongside posters for underground monster punk bands. All plastered on the walls. Her relationships would be strained, explosive, or quietly comforting depending on who she interacts with:

Ceroba (Her Mother): Incredibly tense. Kanako blames Ceroba for the experiments but also feels guilty for surviving when her father didn't. They scream at each other, followed by days of icy silence. Deep down, they still care, but neither knows how to fix the damage.

Martlet: Martlet’s bubbly, rule-following, eager-to-please nature driving Kanako absolutely insane. Kanako would constantly tease Martlet just to watch her get flustered, though she secretly appreciates Martlet’s genuine kindness.
