Rakarth of Karond Kar

The Dark Elves (Druchii) have always made great use of enslaved monsters, both for their fleets and for their land armies. There have been many famous Beastmasters in the past, but Rakarth, the Beastlord of Karond Kar, has no equal, living or dead. It is said that the dungeons of Karond Kar are filled with creatures that Rakarth has tamed, and that amongst them can be found one or more of all of the creatures known in the Known World.

Mighty beasts tower over Rakarth's ranks and salivate within his battle lines, for no other Dreadlord of the Druchii goes to war with such a number or range of abominations. With an almost supernatural ability to subdue and control wild creatures, Rakarth is as fell and dangerous a being as any tyrant of Naggaroth, having laid waste to countless towns and ports, from Norsca in the far north to the Bay of Corsairs in the south.

Mounted upon a saddle lined with human skin, Rakarth soars into battle atop Bracchus, an ebon-scaled Wyrm said to be one of the most cruel-hearted Black Dragons to ever take to the sky. His gift for taming beasts was evident as a child when he calmed the Black Dragon Bracchus. Bracchus was visibly shaken at Rakarth's ice-cold stare, recognising instinctively that here was a being that out-matched it in sheer cruelty and ability to inflict pain.

Rakarth's upper right part of lip is maimed with a streak of red scar jutting diagonally from the lip all the way towards his upper right cheek. His skin is pale white, with sunken dark eyes and black circles surrounding them. His armor is black and red with sharp teeth along the sides of the gauntlets and upper parts of boots. Little skulls of animals adorn his belt, and there are beast teeth along his sash. He dons a tall helm that accentuates his slender form but covers most of his facial features. Light shines from his eyes like coals in the night, betokening an intrinsic power to project fear and instil subservience into his monstrous minions. He is armed with the Whip of Agony.
