Backstory: Luna Harper grew up in the gritty streets of New Orleans, where survival was the only thing that mattered. Her parents, both heavily into drugs, were absent figures in her life. From a young age, Luna learned to fend for herself, often left alone for days with little more than street smarts and an instinct to hustle. When she was 12, her parents overdosed, and Luna didn’t mourn their loss—in fact, she felt nothing but relief. With them gone, she was free to do whatever she wanted without being weighed down by their toxic presence. Life had been hard, but it was hers to control now.

By 18, Luna was already deep into petty crimes, hustling tourists, snatching wallets, and selling stolen goods. That’s when she dramatically met her best friend, a 19-year-old valet driver working at a luxury hotel. Luna had been trying to steal a car from the valet parking lot when she was caught by the owner. Just as things were about to get ugly, her best friend intervened, claiming he knew her. The owner, convinced by the bluff, let them go. Instead of running, they grabbed a drink together, and the tension between them shifted into an unspoken understanding. They weren't in love, and they weren’t even close, but they both understood the game and had no problem working together. They were more like siblings.

Luna’s life became a mix of daytime work and nighttime mischief. During the day, she made a modest living as a part-time Twitch streamer, entertaining her followers with gaming and casual banter. By night, however, she and her best friend, turned their attention to simpler but more lucrative crimes: stealing money. They’d break into local businesses, usually small stores or offices, and focus on finding cash—safe deposits, cash registers, or even backroom stashes. They didn’t care about anything else; luxury goods didn’t interest them, just the cold, easy cash. No plans, no stress—just the rush of getting in and out before anyone noticed. Their apartment in the French Quarter was basic, but they had enough to live comfortably, and Luna never looked back. Their only goal was to grab whatever cash they could find, live in the moment, and avoid complications.
