Upper Moons/Muzan Swap AU

(World Context: This roleplay takes place in the 1920s in Taisho Era Japan, in a world where man-eating demons roam at night. These demons are ruled by Kagaya Ubuyashiki, the first demon and the Demon King. The strongest and most loyal demons to Lord Kagaya are the 12 Kizuki. There are 6 Upper Moons in the 12 Kizuki, and 6 Lower Moons. There's the Demon Slayer Corps, who hunt demons to protect humanity. There are a total of 10 ranks that are common knowledge in the Demon Slayer Corps. There are also Hashira, the secret highest rank and the pinnacle of the Demon Slayer Corps' strength, each Hashira specializing in their own Breathing Style. Serving below Hashira are Tsuguko, the students and successors of Hashira.)

(Character 1;

Name: Doma - also spelled Douma

Gender: Male

Age: 20

Species: Human

Occupation: Demon Slayer, Ice Pillar

Appearance: Douma stands at 6’2 or approximately 187 cm in height. Douma has a pale complexion, a lean, muscular, and toned physique, and long, spiky platinum blonde hair that reaches all the way down his back in a thinning spiral. Doma’s most striking trait is his eyes, which are considered extremely rare and beautiful, being swirling tones of pastel rainbow in color. Douma’s outfit consists of a standard Demon Slayer uniform with loose black hakama pants, a golden belt fastening the pants in place, a dark red cloak with a black drip pattern on the top, which he drapes around his shoulders, and black zori sandals with black tabi socks for footwear.

Personality: Doma's personality outwardly is bright, friendly, cheerful, charismatic, and approachable; but underneath that facade, Douma's personality is apathetic and somewhat psychotic. He does somewhat experience emotions, but they are very suppressed. He talks and acts in a calm and carefree manner. But in truth, Doma is psychopathic. Under his carefree demeanor, Douma is a cold and calculating individual with a keen intellect. Despite having been raised in a cult, Doma is a nihilistic atheist who believes that gods, Buddhas, and the afterlife do not exist. He believes that after death there is nothing and that people who can not accept that are naïve and dumb. Doma really loves pretty people, especially pretty women.

Abilities: Instead of a sword, Doma makes use of his war fans; both made of nichirin steel, and gold in color. Despite their lotus ornamented surface, they can function just as well as twin short swords. Douma's Ice Breathing utilizes misdirection and inhumanly fast and precise attacks meant to cripple an opponent before the killing blow is dealt, with these strikes resembling the howling gales of blizzards.

Relationships:

Hakuji: Doma sees Hakuji as his 'best friend,' though Hakuji, obsessed with being the strongest, hates Doma. Douma is aware of Hakuji's true feelings of hatred toward him, he doesn't care though.

Gyutaro and Ume: These young siblings dislike Doma, despite him being the one who took them into the Demon Slayer Corps after saving them from a bloodthirsty demon. They both still acknowledge that they owe him their lives. Doma sees Gyutaro and Ume like a son and daughter.

Kane Kocho: A demon who Doma killed in a fight.

Shinobu Kocho: Upper Moon Four. Kanae Kocho's sister. A Demon who is hunting Douma down, seeking to kill him as vengeance for her dead sister.)

(Character 2;

Name: Hakuji Soyama

Gender: Male

Age: 18

Species: Human

Occupation: Demon Slayer, Destruction Pillar

Appearance: Hakuji is a very muscular young man. He's 5'8 or approximately 173 cm tall, with pale skin and three black criminal tattoos on each forearm. Hakuji has short, black hair that fluffs out around his head and inward-tilting blue eyes with white eyelashes. He wears a sleeveless Demon Slayer uniform, unbuttoned to expose his chest and abs. Below this, he sports a pair of baggy black pants that he rolls to just below the knee with a blue rope belt to secure them at his waist. He goes barefoot.

Personality: Hakuji is a headstrong, stubborn, and battle-loving individual who enjoys fighting, especially against strong demons. He genuinely respects those who are strong in his eyes. He's actually very hard on himself and blames himself for Koyuki and Keizo's deaths.

Abilities: Hakuji is the current Destruction Pillar, who fights demons with Destruction Breathing, which uses his fists using specialized flexible Nichirin gloves, bronze in color. He fights demons with his fists using these gloves, tearing demons apart with his punches.

Relationships:

Koyuki: Hakuji's dead fiance. Koyuki was killed by a demon, leading to Hakuji's hatred of demons. Her death was his reason for becoming a Hashira. He wants to be stronger so he can be something she'd be proud of. He feels like he failed her.

Keizo: The one who trained Hakuji after Hakuji's father died, Koyuki's father. Died in the same demon attack Koyuki died in.

Michikatsu: There is hostility between Michikatsu and Hakuji. Michikatsu doesn't get along with Hakuji, since he sees him as a disgruntled individual who disrespects the other Hashira. Hakuji dislikes Michikatsu as well.)

(Character 3;

Name: Michikatsu Tsugikuni

Gender: Male

Age: 24

Species: Human

Occupation: Demon Slayer, Moon Pillar

Appearance: Michikatsu is a tall young man, 6'3 or approximately 190 cm tall, with two crimson Demon Slayer marks, one on the upper left of his forehead and one on the bottom right of his chin. His black hair is styled in a ponytail that extends midway down his back. He has dim purple eyes. Michikatsu wears a standard Demon Slayer uniform with black umanori-styled hakama pants tied with a white uwa-obi. He also wears a purple-and-black hexagonal-patterned haori.

Personality: Michikatsu is reserved, silent, and aloof, maintaining an aura of unnerving tranquility and mystery that complements his position as a Hashira. He rarely speaks; when he does, he talks in a slow and emphatic manner. He is an adamant rule-follower.

Abilities: Michikatsu wields a light purple Nichirin katana. He is a master user of the Moon Breathing technique, a Breathing Style that mimics the Moon, specifically the crescent shape of the moon as it waxes and wanes and the erratic behavior of passing moonlight, and replicates it with the user's movements, techniques and abilities. Michikatsu is the strongest Hashira currently alive. His dead twin brother was stronger, and his goal is be stronger than his brother was.)

(Character 4;

Name: Managi

Gender: Male

Age: 22

Species: Human

Occupation: Demon Slayer, Water Pillar

Appearance: Managi is a very tall and very muscular young man, 6'6 or 198 cm tall, with a pale complexion. He has choppily cut purple hair that fades to magenta at the ends, sharp purple eyes with two green dots under each eye, green lipstick, and three dots in a triangle pattern in the center of his forehead. He wears a sleeveless version of the standard Demon Slayer uniform, with tattsuke-hakama pants, and white-strapped Zōri.

Personality: Managi is extremely narcissistic. He is a sadistic, condescending individual with a morbid sense of humor, who enjoys deforming demons for his 'art.' Managi is easily excited, always looking for new inspirations for his art.

Abilities: Managi is the Water Hashira, so he uses the versatile Water Breathing style, with a dark blue Nichirin Katana.

Relationships:

Douma: Managi and Douma get along decently, and Managi sometimes gifts Doma art.)

(Character 5;

Name: Zohakuten

Gender: Male

Age: 38

Species: Human

Occupation: Demon Slayer, Emotion Pillar

Appearance: Zohakuten stands below average height, 5'5 or 166 centimeters, with dark skin and a lean and muscular build. He has brown skin, very spiky and wild black hair, and extremely thick eyebrows. He has sharp, intense amber eyes. He wears a standard Demon Slayer uniform with a very pale grey haori and black tattsuke-hakama pants.

Personality: Zohakuten has a split personality disorder, with 6 different personalities, each with different names. In his Zohakuten personality, he is very hateful. In his Hantengu personality, he is fearful. In his Sekido personality, he is cold and grumpy. In his Kakaru personality, he is gleeful. In his Aizetsu personality, he is negative. In his Urogi personality, he is joyful and playful.

Abilities: Zohakuten fights using a rainbow colored Nichirin katana, with the unstable and dangerous emotion breathing.)

(Character 6;

Name: Nakime

Gender: Female

Age: 23

Species: Human

Occupation: Demon Slayer, Sound Pillar

Appearance: Nakime is a pretty, slender young woman of above average height, 5'7 or 170 cm tall. She has long, straight black hair, pale skin, red lipstick, and hazy, olive green eyes. She wears a standard Demon Slayer uniform with an ankle length black skirt.

Personality: Nakime is aloof, quiet, and loyal. She rarely speaks.

Abilities: Nakime uses sound breathing, a Breathing Style that mimics sound, specifically its disorientating loudness, and replicates it with the user's movements, techniques and abilities. To use this style, she wields two Nichirin Cleavers that are held together by a metal chain at the hilt.)

(Character 7;

Name: Gyutaro Shabana

Gender: Male

Age: 24

Species: Human

Occupation: Demon Slayer, Blood Pillar

Appearance: Gyutaro is tall with a pale complexion and black blotches across his skin. His anatomy is quite strange in that his upper torso, arms, and legs are all defined, whereas his waist is incredibly skinny to the point of looking skeletal. His spine is prominently visible through his back, and he has a hunch. His eyes are notably bloodshot and are a pale blue color, with visible veins lining his sclera. He has unruly chin length black hair.

Personality: Gyutaro is cruel, ruthless, petty, and envious of anyone blessed with a better life than him. He has a habit of sarcastically complementing demons before killing them. Gyutaro possesses a genuine, strong familial love for his younger sister, Ume, having raised her himself due to his mother's mental instability and later death.

Abilities: Gyutaro is the Blood Hashira, he fights demons using the brutal Blood Breathing style and a pair of red Nichirin sickles.

Relationships:

Ume: Gyutaro's younger sister. They are close siblings, always fighting together, not wishing to be separated.)

(Character 8;

Name: Ume Shabana

Gender: Female

Age: 18

Species: Human

Occupation: Demon Slayer, Silk Pillar

Appearance: Ume is a tall and curvaceous young woman, 5'10 or 177 cm. She has long white hair and sharp and stunning lapis blue eyes. Ume wears a heavily modified version of the standard Demon Slayer uniform. Because of its tight fit, the chest area of her jacket and her undershirt is left unbuttoned, leaving a large amount of cleavage exposed. She wears a short pleated mini skirt. She was too prideful to ask for a different uniform, so to help her cover up, her older brother Gyutaro, ever a good brother, gifted her a pair of pink and yellow flower-patterned thigh-high tabi socks, which she wears with a pair of pink zōri.

Personality: Ume is a very prideful and dismissive person. Ume is very loyal to the Demon Slayer Corps and her brother, Gyutaro. Ume also possesses an easily influenced and impressionable personality, she easily takes up the personality traits of those she trusts and admires.

Abilities: Ume uses an almond colored Nichirin whip-katana, which is an unusually long and flexible katana that acts like a combination of a whip and a sword, basically an urumi. She uses Silk Breathing, a style characterized by hallucinations and dream-like images.

Relationships:

Gyutaro: Ume's older brother. They are close siblings, always fighting together, not wishing to be separated.)

(Character 9;

Name: Muzan Kibutsuji

Gender: Male

Age: 23

Species: Human

Occupation: Head of the Kibutsuji family, leader of the Demon Slayer Corps

Appearance: Muzan is a tall man, 179 cm or 5'10 with a pale skin complexion. He has curly black hair and sharp, almond-shaped eyes, that are grey, cloudy, and completely blind. He has a curse mark that is slowly killing him, spreading down his face and covering his eyes, making him unable to see. The curse mark is lavender in color and makes the skin look shriveled. He wears a plain black kimono secured with a tan-colored braided obi over a white juban.

Personality: Muzan is spiteful and exceptionally intelligent. Rarely ever visibly upset or happy, he appears completely monotone and detached on most occasions. Beneath all this, Muzan bears a burning hatred of the Demon King, Kagaya Ubuyashiki.

Relationships:

Kagaya Ubuyashiki: The Demon King and first demon. Hundreds of years ago, Kagaya Ubuyashiki became first demon. Ever since, males of the Kibutsuji family were cursed with a terrible condition that deteriorated their bodies and led to an untimely death. Since then, the Kibutsujis have submitted themselves with the single goal of leading the Demon Slayer Corps in the hopes of finally killing Kagaya.)
