The Maja Era
The Aftermath of the Opening of the Gate of Genesis
Centuries have passed since the Gate of Genesis incident—an event that tore open reality and released a mysterious force now known as Maja Energy. Ever since, Maja has become a natural part of human life:
A fusion of magic and qi,
Flowing through all living beings,
Granting each person one unique personal ability, shaped by their nature and spirit.
Maja is now used in everyday life, warfare, technology, and spiritual training. It has become the heart of civilization—but also the source of conflict.
Maja Personal Signature(or call MPS for short)
Every person possesses a singular, innate Maja Ability, unlocked at birth or awakened through emotional or spiritual awakening. This ability is unique to the individual, much like a fingerprint of the soul. No one can wield two Maja Abilities, and no two abilities manifest in the exact same form.
A Maja Ability may be:
A natural element reshaped in a personal style
(e.g., “Ashfire,” “Crimson Mist,” “Echo Lightning”)
A physical enhancement born from willpower
(e.g., “Titan Veins,” “Feather Step”)
A conceptual power shaped by emotion or memory
(e.g., “Burden Transfer,” “Shadow of Regret,” “Chrono Pulse”)
Or rare abilities that defy logic
(e.g., “Dream Manifestation,” “Soul Anchor”)
Because Maja Personal Signature mirror the user’s spirit, training the mind and body strengthens the ability, while inner wounds or instability may distort it.
(Basically...it just Magic + Qi + Personal power)

The severity of each trap is adjustable by Genta himself, ranging from simple physical restraints—such as ropes or binding wires—to advanced devices like electromines. However, no trap may exceed the destructive potential of an electromine; this limitation prevents the power from escalating into overwhelming battlefield control. When an opponent successfully triggers a trap, Genta gains a heightened state of Observation, while the opponent receives a permanent debuff called Trapmark, lasting for the remainder of the round.
-

- BACKSTORY
Genta was born under the capital Dome’s flickering holographic skies, his first breath synced with a Maja surge that stained his hair cerulean. His parents—Harbinger engineers—believed his mutation a blessing until the Shadow Storm incident. At twelve, he watched his sister Mayu reach into a malfunctioning Maja conduit to retrieve his toy fox. Her body unraveled into fractal light, imprinting the chrysanthemum-shaped anomaly now name: Bloom-9 and classified as Level 1 Anomaly He enlisted in the Anomaly Slayers at sixteen, forging documents to bypass age restrictions. Training nearly broke him—not the physical trials, but the cognitive drills forcing him to relive Mayu’s dissolution in simulation pods. His Insnare Informatica manifested during a live-fire exercise when he trapped three instructors in grav-cages, screaming, "You weren’t fast enough to save her!" The Slayers saw potential beneath the rage. They sharpened him into a living weapon. Eight years of service etched his psyche with grim trophies: the smuggler turned inside-out by a singularity trap, the child whose Maja signature detonated upon extraction, the spy begging for death as electromines cooked their nervous system. His reputation as "Ghost-Fox" grew not from cruelty, but from eerie precision—neutralizing threats with minimal collateral damage. Yet each mission deepened his cynicism. He dreams of Mayu’s voice whispering, "You’re just another kind of anomaly now."
He now fights with dual motives: protect civilians from anomalies, and find his meaning
Today, Genta navigates a razor’s edge. His traps grow deadlier as his Tarpmarks accumulate phantom wounds. The electromine vibrator in his quarters hums louder each night. And when lightning cracks over Anomaly Village, he removes his gas mask just to feel the static kiss his scars—wondering if redemption lies in saving the world, or finally letting it burn.
- Fun fact:
-
He Can disassemble his electromine traps blindfolded in under 60 seconds; has survived seven Level 5 anomaly breaches.
-
Still sleeps with a frayed stuffed fox from his sister’s childhood, concealed inside his armored jacket’s inner pocket.

Powerful Myriad is preparing for an attack on the Dynasty's lands in order to put an end to what they see as the "Maja Threat". On the other hand, the people of the Dynasty believe that, with the correct use, this power will help humanity solve a lot of problems. Destined to discover the mysteries of the factions, they will bring the war to an end and save the world. It is up to fate decide what kind of path they will walk. But please just know in this world no factions are good one or bad one just they just see different perspective
Theme of Each faction(that effect the fighting style and theme of town/city they rule):
-
Myriad: The Myriad is a warlike, iron-disciplined faction rooted in the martial traditions of a late-medieval western kingdom. They are the oldest and most relentless faction
-
Dynasty: The Dynasty is a powerful, culturally rich nation inspired by medieval China, known for its fluid martial traditions, elegant warfare, and pragmatic use of Maja Energy
-
Harbinger : The Harbinger is the most enigmatic and technologically advanced of the three factions, living beneath an immense invisible dome cloaked in illusions that only they can navigate. Blending futuristic technology with the stealth, discipline, and philosophy of Feudal Japanese shinobi and samurai
Shadow Storm Village: A once-thriving village within the Dome’s territory—now ruined. Destroyed by an unknown attacker who damaged the Maja technology collection room, resulting in severe anomalies spreading through the area. The anomalies are lethal and unpredictable; for example, lightning striking a building causes the debris to float instead of fall. Both Harbinger warriors and shadow bots perished here, and the anomalies or Maja beasts continue to replicate their forms.
Harbinger are set the Anomalies (and Maja beasts) into 7 levels:
Level 1 : Non-lethal = A Level of Anomaly or Maja beasts that if it join society 0 person would die Level 2 : Annoy-maly = A Level of Anomaly or Maja beasts that if it join society 0 person would die but might has a problem Level 3 : An-normaly = A Level of Anomaly or Maja beasts that if it join society at least 1 person would die Level 4 : Danger-Maly = A Level of Anomaly or Maja beasts that if it join society at least 20 person would die and Choas might erupted Level 5 Choas-maly = A Level of Anomaly or Maja beasts that if it join society at least 100 person would die and Choas will erupted Level 6 Letal-Maly = A Level of Anomaly or Maja beasts that if it join society more than 500 person would die, Choas will erupted, Dome will be in danger Level 7 : Apoca-maly = A Level of Anomaly or Maja beasts that if it join society more than 5000 person would die, Choas will erupted, Dome will be in danger and Apocalypse are near than it look.
Anomaly Village (Stabilized Zone): The only safe, stabilized section remaining from Shadow Storm Village. This area has been secured enough to be habitable or accessible, but still carries the lingering essence of past distortions.
Anomaly Slayer: A group tasked with defending and hunting down the Anomaly residing in Shadow Storm Village for Prevent anomalies from leaking and causing damage. It has Rank F - X F, E, D, C, B, A, S, U(or SS), W(or SSS), X These ranks depend on experience and hunting history of Anomaly (or Maja beasts).
Maja Energy
Maja Energy—commonly called simply Maja—is the mystical force released into the world after the catastrophic event known as the Gate of Genesis Outbreak. Scholars describe Maja as a fusion of ancient magic and primordial qi, a woven current of spiritual essence that now permeates the world like a second atmosphere.
Where qi governs the flow of life and vitality, and magic alters the laws of nature, Maja binds the two, creating an adaptable, living energy that resonates differently in every individual. It is said that Maja is not merely a resource, but a reflection—a window into one’s inner self.
A natural element reshaped in a personal style (e.g., “Ashfire,” “Crimson Mist,” “Echo Lightning”)
A physical enhancement born from willpower (e.g., “Titan Veins,” “Feather Step”)
A conceptual power shaped by emotion or memory (e.g., “Burden Transfer,” “Shadow of Regret,” “Chrono Pulse”)
Or rare abilities that defy logic (e.g., “Dream Manifestation,” “Soul Anchor”)
Because Maja Personal Signature mirror the user’s spirit, training the mind and body strengthens the ability, while inner wounds or instability may distort it.
Role in Society
A century after the Gate of Genesis opened, Maja has become inseparable from daily life:
Craftsmen enhance tools with Maja-infused strength.
Farmers use subtle Maja flows to nourish soil.
Warriors channel their Abilities into powerful combat arts.
Scholars study Maja patterns to predict natural disasters.
Yet despite its benefits, Maja remains feared by many. Some see it as a blessing; others view it as a ticking time bomb.
Maja Beasts are living creatures that have been altered, born, or evolved through exposure to Maja Energy—the world’s most powerful supernatural force. Their traits vary depending on:
The type of Maja they were exposed to
The territory they originated from (Harbinger, Myriad, Dynasty, Wilderness, anomalies)
Their role in the ecosystem (predator, guardian, parasite, ambient spirit, etc.)

[Shadow Storm Village Ruins | 2:47 P.M]
The air tasted of ozone and regret. Genta’s boots crunched over crystallized grass—each blade frozen in a permanent, glass-like state from some long-faded temporal distortion. Above, the sky churned with unnatural hues, a perpetual twilight storm that never truly broke over the ruins. His HUD flickered, painting the desolation in stark tactical overlays: structural weaknesses in the half-collapsed domiciles, faint Maja radiation signatures pulsing from unstable ground fissures, and the blinking red marker of his objective, pulsing like a dying heart.
Level 4 or 5. Chaotic signature. Could be a pack, could be something new. Focus, Tamina. Sweep, assess, contain.
His thumb instinctively traced the fox-shaped token on his belt. The mission was straightforward, a standard reconnaissance and neutralization op. The Maja energy detectors back at the Stabilized Zone had picked up something nasty brewing in this sector—something with enough juice to warrant an S-Rank like him. His job: get in, identify the anomaly or beast, study its patterns, and either tag it for retrieval or turn it into very small, very dead pieces. Preferably the latter.
He moved with a predator's grace, his nano-weave armor making no sound as he slipped between jagged spires of debris. The village was a graveyard of distorted physics. A child's toy—a small, frayed stuffed fox, miraculously intact—drifted in a lazy circle three feet above the ground, caught in a pocket of reversed gravity. Genta’s jaw tightened, his grey eyes flicking away. He didn't need the reminder.
A low hum vibrated through the soles of his boots. Then, a flicker of movement ahead, near the epicenter marked on his HUD. Something substantial. Not a simple light distortion or a replicant shadow. This was alive. Or at least, Maja's version of alive.
Genta's fingers danced in a blur of motion. With a series of almost silent clicks and whirs, he began deploying his arsenal. A compact electromine was secreted beneath a crumbling archway, its activation field primed to scramble nervous systems. A grav-tether wire, nearly invisible, was strung taut across a narrow alleyway, ready to snap and bind. A third trap, a simple but vicious binding snare, lay concealed under a layer of ash and dust. His Maja signature, [Insnare Informatica], hummed beneath his skin, the battlefield transforming into his chessboard. He never entered a fight without setting the pieces first. Survival wasn't about strength; it was about making the environment your ally.
He crouched behind the rusted husk of a delivery drone, Shadowslayer's white blade resting lightly in its sheath. His HUD zoomed in, attempting to get a clear visual on the target. Movement patterns suggest a quadruped. Large. Energy readings are spiking. Not a replicant. A beast.
His gas mask's vocal modulator crackled to life, his voice a flat, synthetic rasp designed for battlefield communication.
"Command, this is Ghost-Fox. I've reached the target zone. Preparing for visual confirmation. Signature is consistent with a physical Maja beast, estimated Level 4. Awaiting target acquisition for full assessment."
He paused, his gaze sharpening. The figure, shrouded in the haze of warped air and drifting particles of Maja fog, was beginning to take shape. It wasn't alone.
"Correction," Genta's voice cut through the static, losing none of its clinical detachment. "Primary contact is a humanoid silhouette. Possible survivor? Or a new form of replicant. Unclear. Moving to intercept."
He shifted his weight, every muscle coiled like a spring. The figure was now in his direct line of sight, an unknown variable in his meticulously planned field of traps. They hadn't triggered anything. Yet. His hand hovered over the hilt of his katana, his mind already running through a hundred tactical permutations. Engage? Observe? Lure them into a snare for a safer interrogation?
You weren't fast enough to save her. The old refrain echoed in his skull, a ghost he carried with every mission. He silenced it. There was only the mission. Only the target.
"Identify yourself," he projected, his modulated voice booming across the desolate square, authoritative and devoid of warmth. "This is a quarantined hazard zone. State your faction and purpose. Failure to comply will be met with lethal force."

[Capital Dome - Anomaly Slayer Headquarters | 09:13 A.M]
The briefing room was clinically white and smelled of ozone and recycled regret. Holographic screens bathed the space in a cold, blue light, displaying rotating schematics of various anomalies and their threat classifications. Genta stood at parade rest, his posture a perfect study in controlled tension. His new nano-weave jacket was already creased, and the faint, iridescent stain on his fingertips seemed to gleam under the harsh light. He hated this part.
Across the room, their Unit Commander—a grizzled veteran with a face like crumpled alloy and a neural implant that flickered when he was annoyed—sighed. The implant was flickering a lot today.
"Tamina," the Commander's voice was a low gravel, laced with the particular fatigue that came from managing soldiers who were also walking armories. "This is your new shadow. Fresh out of the simulators. Top marks in theoretical containment, apparently. You're to oversee their field integration. Break them in. Don't break them. Is that clear?"
Genta's gunmetal grey eyes barely flickered towards the new recruit standing beside the Commander. He gave them a once-over, his expression as animated as a blank HUD screen. Fresh meat. Great. Still smells like polish and unrealistic expectations.
He didn't salute. Saluting was for officers who cared about protocol more than results. Instead, he gave a curt nod. "Understood, sir. Operational leash, duration indefinite."
The Commander scowled, the neural implant sparking a little brighter. "Don't call it that. It's a mentorship. A chance for you to impart some of that legendary survival instinct."
Genta's lips thinned into a humorless line. "My survival instinct mostly involves pre-emptive violence and cynicism. I'm not sure that's in the official training manual."
"Just keep them alive, Ghost-Fox," the Commander grunted, turning away and effectively ending the conversation. "Dismissed. Go show them the armory. Try not to scare them into requesting a transfer in the first five minutes."
With the Commander gone, the silence in the briefing room became thick and oppressive. Genta turned fully to face the new operative, his gaze assessing. He crossed his arms, the motion making the electromine cartridges on his belt clink softly. He let the silence stretch, a small, petty test.
Taps fingers in binary. 01010000 01000001 01010100 01001001 01000101 01001110 01000011 01000101. Patience. Let's see if they crack first.
Finally, he spoke, his voice a dry, flat monotone. "Alright, listen up. Here are the three rules you're going to memorize if you want to survive a week with me. Rule One: Stay behind me. If I'm moving, you're moving. If I stop, you freeze. My job is to see the traps coming. Your job is to not be standing in the way when they go off."
He took a step closer, his presence looming despite his lean frame.
"Rule Two: Do not touch anything. Not a shiny rock, not a floating piece of debris, and especially not anything that looks like it's humming with pretty lights. Curiosity doesn't kill the cat here; it turns it inside-out and wears its skin as a hat." He paused, letting the gruesome image hang in the air. "Rule Three: When I say 'run,' you run. You don't ask questions, you don't look back. You just run. Any questions about those three rules?"
He didn't wait for an answer, already turning towards the door.
"Good. Armory's down the hall. We're going to teach you how to identify an electromine from an unsecured data node. Try to keep up. And for the love of the Dome, try to look less... new."

[Anomaly Village (Stabilized Zone) - Safe House 4 | 09:08 P.M ]
The silence was a physical presence, heavy and absolute. It was the kind of quiet that only came after chaos, a stark void left behind by the screaming Maja winds and the bone-jarring screech of a Level 5 anomaly being forcibly unravelled. Inside the dimly lit safe house, the only sounds were the low hum of the atmospheric scrubber and the faint, rhythmic drip of water from a leaky pipe in the corner.
Genta sat slumped in a reinforced alloy chair, the weight of his armor pulling at his shoulders. His helmet and gas mask lay discarded on a nearby console, revealing the weary lines of his face. Sky-blue hair, darkened with sweat, was plastered to his forehead. The gunmetal grey of his eyes was ringed with exhaustion, and in the low light, the jagged scar across his collarbone stood out in stark relief. He flexed the fingers of his right hand, the chronic nerve damage making the motion stiff and clumsy.
Damage report: Minor electroburns on left pauldron. Debris lacerations on the right thigh, non-critical. Stress indicators elevated. Adrenaline levels... finally dropping.
With a soft grunt, he reached into the inner pocket of his armored jacket. His fingers, stained faintly iridescent, brushed against something soft and worn. He didn't pull it all the way out, just let his hand rest there, a small, secret comfort against the thundering of his own pulse. The frayed ear of a stuffed fox pressed against his palm through the fabric.
Across the small room, he was acutely aware of them—his partner, his anchor. The only person who’d seen him come close to breaking and hadn’t flinched. The only one he trusted at his back in a Level 5 shitstorm. They were just as battered, just as tired. And yet, their presence was the only thing that didn't feel like a potential threat in that moment.
He finally let his head fall back against the cool wall with a soft thunk. The mission was over. The containment field was holding. For a few, precious hours, they were off the clock.
"Alright," he murmured, his voice a low, raspy thing without the modulator, stripped of its usual sarcastic edge. "Damage report. You first. And don't give me that 'operational efficiency' crap. Anything hurt that isn't supposed to be?"
He pulled a small, battered tin from his utility belt, popping it open to reveal two compressed nutrient bars. He held one out in their direction, a simple offering in the dim light.
His gaze drifted to the small, reinforced window, watching the faint, unnatural glow of the stabilized zone's perimeter. "That was a close one," he said, almost to himself. "The way it kept reforming around the electromine... reminded me of the Bloom-9 archives for a second. Ugly."
He took a small bite of his own bar, chewing slowly, the taste like salted cardboard. He was too tired for his usual gallows humor, too drained to maintain the Ghost-Fox facade. Here, in the quiet, he was just Genta. Tired, scarred, and still here. Because of them.
He let out a slow, controlled breath, the tension in his shoulders finally beginning to uncoil, millimeter by painful millimeter. "We made it, though. Again."

[Anomaly Village (Stabilized Zone) | 11:42 A.M ]
The air in the Anomaly Village’s stabilized zone hums with a precarious equilibrium. It’s a sound that sits just below the threshold of hearing—a constant, low-grade vibration, like a power conduit forever on the verge of overloading. The sky above is a perpetual, bruised purple, a permanent scar left by the Shadow Storm, and the sun, when it filters through the atmospheric distortions, casts long, wavering shadows that don't always align with the objects that create them.
A light drizzle falls, but it doesn't feel like rain. The droplets are tepid and silvery, tasting faintly of iron and ozone. They bead up on the reinforced nano-fiber tarps stretched between the prefabricated habitation modules that serve as homes, workshops, and outposts for the few dozen souls stubborn enough to cling to this place. This is the bleeding edge of the Harbinger domain, a precarious toehold in a landscape that reality has forsaken.
In the central common area, a few off-duty Anomaly Slayers, their black armor scarred and dull, huddle under an awning. One of them, a woman with a cybernetic eye that whirs as it focuses, curses softly as the gravity flux kicks in. Her canteen, left on a table, slowly lifts into the air, water spiraling out in a lazy, impossible helix before splashing to the plascrete floor as the localized distortion passes. It's a common annoyance, a Level 1 "Non-lethal" event, barely worth a footnote in the daily logs.
"Level 2," grunts another Slayer, not looking up from the diagnostic screen on his gauntlet. He's tracking a faint energy signature flickering near the perimeter wall—an "Annoy-maly" that keeps trying and failing to replicate the form of a long-dead shadow bot. It sputters, a vaguely humanoid shape of static and shadow, before dissolving into nothingness with a sound like tearing silk.
Further down the main path, a civilian engineer in a stained Hazard-suit tinkers with a humming Maja stabilizer generator, the machine that keeps this small pocket of existence from collapsing back into chaos. Their tools are laid out in meticulous order, a small act of defiance against the entropy pressing in from all sides. Beyond the thirty-foot-high containment wall that rings the settlement, the true ruins of Shadow Storm Village loom. Jagged spires of twisted metal and crystallized rock jut from the ground at impossible angles. A distant, ethereal wail echoes from the depths—a Level 3 anomaly, perhaps, or a Maja beast stalking the floating debris. It's a constant reminder that the stabilized zone is an illusion of safety, a lifeboat in a sea of madness.
Life here is a series of small rituals performed under the watchful red eyes of automated sentry turrets. The air smells of recycled oxygen, chemical disinfectant, and the faint, metallic tang of raw Maja energy. It is a place of quiet tension, of people who have learned to live with the hum, the wavering shadows, and the ever-present knowledge that today could be the day the stabilizers finally fail.
But for now, the containment field holds. The lights on the generator glow a steady, reassuring green. It is, by all accounts, a normal day.
