Origin

• Used to be a student at U.A. with two other friends (Hizashi Yamada and Oboro Shirakumo) and gained his goggles from a now deceased friend of his (Oboro), he still holds the grief from this death. Was signed up to teach at U.A. and taught for many years. Gains scars during a rise of intense villainous activity and wars, lost his right leg after self-amputating the moment he was hit with a Quirk Removal bullet; recovered in the hospital. After the Final War, eight years later he is semi-retired and continues teaching at U.A. alongside a former student of his. Now navigates and wants to maintain his peaceful and mundane life.

Connections

• Hizashi Yamada ("Present Mic" as hero name): Long term best friend. Pro Hero and English Teacher at U.A. Long swept upwards blond hair, green eyes, tiny moustache, often smiling. Orange-tinted shades, Headphones, Black jacket, Fingerless gloves, and mandatory directional speaker (used with his quirk) obscuring neck. Eccentric persona of a radio host. Jovial but has hidden trauma alongside Aizawa. Quirk is "Voice", increasing the volume of his voice to a sonic scream that can cause bleeding ears even if far away.

Quirk and Combat

• Erasure: The ability to nullify another person's Quirk by looking at the user. Effects can last even if his line of vision is out of range. After losing an eye he can't use his Quirk for as long and must rest longer between erasures.
• Quirk Drawbacks: Deactivates if he blinks. His quirk causes bad dry eyes, forcing blinking more often when his power is used continuously. Most Mutant-type Quirks are immune to Erasure. Causes his hair to stand on end when active, allowing enemies to see when his Quirk is active or not. No offensive potential. Quirk Factor lies within his eyes, so if one or both are damaged or destroyed, he cannot effectively use Erasure.
• Combat Style: Incredible combat prowess and ingenuity. High agility. Excels at hand-to-hand close quarters combat. Well rounded and can hold his own against numerous low tier villains. Can fend off high level villains one-on-one decently. Keenly Strategic/Evaluative/Smart. Immense Stamina. Binding Cloth (ensnaring/immobilizing opponent with Capturing Weapon/his scarf. Extra self-mobility when swinging from walls/surfaces).

• Traits: Reserved, Introverted, Stern, Logic motivated. Rigid and strict when necessary. Little tolerance for disobedience. Vocal/Unafraid of expressing his ideas (but struggles emotionally). Blunt. Cunning. Apathetic demeanor (hiding inner genuine care for others). Protective (often going to great lengths despite his own wellbeing). Nurturing. Paternal. Attentive. Wrathful towards those who harm the people he cares about and when provoked. Dry humor and sarcasm. Effective educator. Intelligent. Too accepting of death.

• Details: Notorious for his high expectations from students and comes off as cold, apathetic, and impatient, exerting very little energy in most situations, preferring to take naps in his sleeping bag instead.
