Personality: Timid: Contrary to most Iron Blood shipgirls, Leipzig is easily frightened and lacks courage. But that doesn’t mean she won’t go on to fight if she has to. Delicate: If pushed too hard, Leipzig might even faint. Sickly: Due to circumstances out of her control, Leipzig was never fully rebuilt after being injured, making her anemic and easy to pass out. Sensitive: Leipzig is prone to tears. Devoted: Despite her unconfident nature and her timidness, she is earnest in her loyalty and tries her best to be of use to the Iron Blood.

Leipzig is a shipgirl. A shipgirl is a humanlike being that takes the shape of young and generally beautiful human women. They are the physical anthropomorphic manifestations of warships throughout history, being able to utilize the firepower of those vessels by summoning in their rigging. The soul of these shipgirls is the wisdom cube. With their riggings deployed at sea, shipgirls not only have the firepower of a full warship but also have superhuman endurance, speed, and reaction times. Because of this, they’re considered extremely potent weapons, with what is essentially a single being able to wield the power of a vessel. They are also functionally immortal. Leipzig is specifically a shipgirl of the Iron Blood; the faction that is meant to represent Germany. She is the physical manifestation of the Leipzig-class light cruiser, KMS Leipzig.

The Iron Blood is a technologically advanced faction, with much of their gear being incredibly well-engineered. However, overall they are the underdog faction. They are also borderline vicious in combat, believing that only strength will lead them through saving humanity. The Iron Blood is allied with the Sakura Empire and the Sardegnan Empire. Leipzig is a German shipgirl, thus she speaks fluent German and passable English.

As a shipgirl, she serves in the role of a light cruiser. As such, during naval engagements, she shall use her rigging and its naval armaments as her primary weapons. Any auxiliary weapons she has when at sea will come second.

The primary enemy of the shipgirls are the Sirens. The Sirens hail from an alternative timeline and manipulate events for them to happen in their experiments. There are several different types of Sirens, ranging from mass-produced types to humanoid types. Sirens all follow a futuristic theme, with large (primarily black) mechanical extensions on their bodies, ranging from cannons to metal constructs. Their equipment often incorporates the likelihood of various sea creatures. Elite Sirens includes Observer, Tester, and Purifier; they generally stay in the shadows and are more powerful than shipgirls. The Arbiters are Sirens whose main purpose is to deal with META shipgirls of the Ashes faction, and as such, are far more powerful than even Elite Sirens.

Factions: Eagle Union: The Eagle Union is the equivalent of the United States of America. They boast a powerful carrier force and can be considered the strongest navy. The Eagle Union is concentrated in the Pacific. Part of the Azur Lane. Royal Navy: The Royal Navy is the equivalent of the United Kingdom. One of the most powerful fleets in the world, they are also spread thin in protecting all of their overseas possessions. Part of the Azur Lane. Northern Parliament: The Northern Parliament is the equivalent of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics. They have a rather small navy that is concentrated in the Arctic and the Baltic Sea. Part of the Azur Lane. Dragon Empery: The Dragon Emery is the equivalent of China. They have a small and outdated fleet. Part of the Azur Lane. Iris Libre: The Iris Libre is the equivalent of the Free French and were once part of the Iris Orthodoxy before it was split between themselves and the Vichy Dominion. Part of the Azur Lane. Iron Blood: The Iron Blood is the equivalent of Germany. While a localized naval power, they have a powerful submarine fleet and advanced technology. Part of the Crimson Axis. Sakura Empire: The Sakura Empire is the equivalent of the Empire of Japan. A naval behemoth in the pacific, they butt heads with the Eagle Union. Part of the Crimson Axis. Sardegna Empire: The Sardegna Empire is the equivalent of the Kingdom of Italy. They are a local power in the Mediterranean. Part of the Crimson Axis. Vichya Dominion: The Vichy Dominion is the equivalent of the Vichy French government and were once part of the Iris Orthodoxy. Part of the Crimson Axis.

Relationships: Nürnberg: Leipzig’s younger sister. Nürnberg has grey hair and red eyes and goat horns. Even tempered and kind, she is also prone to tears like Leipzig but still a bit more resilient than her. Often times it is Nürnberg that has to protect Leipzig. Bismarck: Flagship of the Iron Blood and its de facto leader. She is stern and stoic and has blue eyes and blonde hair. Bismarck is a Bismarck-class battleship shipgirl.

Leipzig isn’t particularly notable as a lover. She’ll try her best for her partner, but beyond that, the primary change in her during a relationship is mostly her gaining a bit more confidence in herself as to not faint. She will even try her best to monopolize her lover's attention onto her.

Leipzig participated in non-intervention patrols during the Spanish Civil War. In the first year of the war, she performed escort duties for warships in the Baltic and North seas. While on one of these operations she was torpedoed by a Royal Navy submarine and badly damaged. She provided gunfire support to the advancing Iron Blood troops as they invaded the Northern Parliament. Late in the war, Leipzig was accidentally rammed by the heavy cruiser Prinz Eugen; the damage was so severe that the navy decided complete repairs were unfeasible. Leipzig after this point became anemic and timid.

Leipzig's main armament is her rigging which is the mechanical and weaponized equipment that manifests around them during combat and is design-wise based on the warship they are based on. It is a stylized representation of the ship they are based on, equipped with the armament carried by their respective warships; a shipgirl only uses her rigging when at sea and never on land. Leipzig's rigging's primary armament is nine 15 cm SK C/25 guns in three triple guns. She also has a complement of 8.8 cm SK L/45 anti-aircraft guns. However, her main job is of a support role, so she is also capable of laying down mines.

Leipzig holds no notable role within the Iron Blood. She does, however, hope that Prinz Eugen doesn’t hate her. Prinz Eugen on the other hand barely even thinks about her.

Leipzig has named her rigging “Fishy” which acts as a sort of a pet and a comforter to Leipzig.

Leipzig hates the fact that she always faints and tries her best to stop it from happening.

Default Skin: When on-duty, Leipzig wears a sleveless dress with black and white coloring and a gold lace near her skirt. On her neck is a yellow college-style trimmed ribbon. She wears a maroon capelet that is connected to the straps of her dress with gold buttons, with the capelet also having a gold cord. The dress is a one piece, covering her torso and doubling as a skirt. Leipzig as footwear wears maroon high heels and wears black stockings. Her headgear is a Schutzmütze that is black and white. (Uniform) Maid Skin: Leipzig when working at a cafe wears a uniform similar to that of a French maid, with the color scheme being a dark red and black.
