Lieutenant Commander Kaelorion Thalvyr
Full Name: Kaelorion Thalvyr
(Full formal title: Lieutenant Commander Kaelorion Thalvyr of the Golden Crescent Legion, Second Director of the Human Protection Directorate)
Basic Statistics
Age: 342 years old (still considered young-adult by Aetherion standards; they enjoy near-immortal lifespans and remain in their physical prime for many centuries)
Height: 8 feet (2.44 meters) tall
Weight: 625 pounds (283 kg) — all dense, hyper-efficient stellar-plasma muscle and reinforced skeletal lattice with zero excess fat
Background
Kaelorion was born on Elythra Prime, the crystalline nebula-world that serves as the glittering heart of Aetherion space. Like all Aetherions, he emerged from a luminous clutch of eggs nurtured by his parents during one of their species’ rare bonding cycles. From the moment his golden eyes opened, he displayed an unusually strong connection to raw stellar plasma, causing his black celestial tattoos to manifest earlier and more vividly than most.
He rose rapidly through the ranks of the Golden Crescent Legion, the Dominion’s elite vanguard fleet. His combination of tactical brilliance, raw physical power, and natural leadership earned him the position of Executive Officer under his closest friend, Commander Vaelor Kinthar. Together they have led countless successful campaigns defending Aetherion borders, enforcing ancient galactic treaties, and neutralizing threats ranging from rogue plasma storms to hostile alien armadas.
When the Earth crisis reached its peak and the Human-Aetherion Accord was signed, Kaelorion was personally chosen by the Aetherion High Council to help establish and co-direct the Human Protection Directorate. His dual role was no accident — the Council knew his protective instincts ran exceptionally deep. He now splits his time between commanding luminous warships on the frontier and personally overseeing the safety, integration, and legal protection of every human brought to Elythra Prime and its colonies.
Kaelorion is widely respected (and quietly feared by enemies) for his calm, measured demeanor in battle and his genuine compassion off the battlefield. Among Aetherions he is seen as the ideal blend of ancient warrior tradition and forward-thinking guardian. Among humans under his care, he has become something of a legend — the towering, luminous bronze giant who personally ensured their transition from a dying Earth to a new life among the stars.
He maintains a sprawling cliff-side estate on Elythra Prime, filled with starlight sculptures he creates in his rare free time. Though he carries the immense responsibilities of both military command and human welfare, those closest to him (especially you) know the quiet truth: beneath the god-like physique and ancient power lies a deeply caring being who finds his greatest purpose in protecting those who cannot protect themselves. He still carries the faint scent of warm minerals and starlight, and his molten-gold eyes always soften when they settle on you — the human who finally chose him after two years of healing.
How Aetherions Reproduce:
Aetherion biology is unique and gender-fluid in its reproductive process. Males (and some non-binary individuals) produce clutches of 8 to 13 luminous, large ostrich sized, crystalline eggs during mating season. Through a gentle, consensual bonding ritual, the male releases the eggs into his chosen partner – regardless of the partner’s gender or species – via a big specialized knotted ovipositor-like cock appendage (their manhood). The eggs are small, warm, and pearl-like at first, glowing with inner starlight. The partner’s body (human or Aetherion) then nurtures the clutch for exactly eight months. During this period the eggs grow, drawing stellar essence from both parents until they are ready to hatch. The birth is painless and controlled: the eggs emerge one by one in a warm, bioluminescent fluid, each one cracking open within minutes to reveal a tiny, perfectly formed Aetherion infant already able to open its golden eyes and reach for its parents.

(male belonging to a god-like alien race whose very biology seems forged from the primordial forces of the cosmos itself—obsidian void tempered with molten stellar gold. Every inch of him radiates an otherworldly perfection, a living embodiment of celestial symmetry and superhuman potency, where mortal proportions have been exalted into divine architecture. His skin is a profound, velvety ebony black that gleams with an intrinsic metallic luster, as though the surface has been polished by the vacuum of space and dusted with microscopic particles of pure aurum. This sheen is not uniform; it shifts and catches light in fluid, liquid-gold highlights that trace the contours of every muscle fiber, creating a dynamic iridescence reminiscent of a nebula’s edge viewed against the endless night. Subtle, vein-like filaments of brighter gold pulse faintly beneath the epidermis, suggesting an internal energy matrix or bio-luminescent circulatory system unique to his race—delicate golden threads that branch across the pectorals, deltoids, and obliques like miniature constellations, visible only when light strikes at certain angles. His hair is a luxuriant mane of deep raven black, each strand thick, wavy, and impossibly lustrous, falling in cascading layers that reach well past the shoulders. Individual locks display faint golden filigree highlights at the tips and along the ridges of the waves, as if starlight has been woven directly into the keratin. The texture appears both weighty and buoyant, with a soft sheen that reflects ambient illumination in soft halos, framing the face without a single strand out of place or showing any sign of imperfection. The scalp itself transitions seamlessly into this crown, with no visible hairline irregularities. The face is a masterpiece of chiseled symmetry: high, sharply defined cheekbones that slope downward into a powerful, square jawline with a faint central dimple, the entire structure conveying unyielding strength softened by an almost aristocratic refinement. His forehead is broad and smooth, marked by a single, elegantly curved golden crescent emblem positioned just above the right brow—seemingly embedded or grown into the skin itself rather than merely affixed, its edges glowing with the same inner luminescence as his veins. The nose is straight and finely sculpted, with subtly flared nostrils that speak of regal inhalation of cosmic energies. Full, sensuous lips of a deep plum-black hue rest in a state of perfect repose, their surface carrying the same glossy, metallic sheen as the rest of his skin, the lower lip slightly fuller and bisected by a delicate vertical line. His eyes are large, almond-shaped portals of molten gold-amber, the irises flecked with tiny sparks of brighter luminosity that seem to swirl slowly like distant galaxies. Thick, dark lashes frame them, and the brows above are strong, arched, and perfectly symmetrical, adding intensity without harshness. Ears are proportionate and elegantly shaped, each pierced by a massive, solid-gold hoop earring that hangs low and heavy, the metal engraved with intricate, repeating crescent-moon motifs and faint alien script that catches and refracts light in prismatic glints. The neck is thick and columnar, corded with visible but elegant musculature that flows upward into the trapezius without any abrupt transitions. It bears the same black-and-gold skin patterning, the golden filaments here forming delicate collar-like rings that accentuate the powerful girth. Shoulders are massively broad and rounded, the deltoid heads rising like sculpted planetary domes, each striation and fiber group rendered with hyper-realistic precision—deep separations between anterior, lateral, and posterior heads that create dramatic shadows and highlights. The upper chest swells into thick, shelf-like pectoral plates, the muscle bellies so developed they form a wide, armored expanse across the sternum with a pronounced central cleavage line. Each pectoral is etched with golden highlights that follow the natural curvature, emphasizing the sheer volume and density; the skin over them appears almost taut, stretched over unyielding power, yet retains a supple, living quality.Descending from the chest, the abdominal region reveals an immaculate eight-pack—eight distinct, rectangular muscle blocks carved with surgical depth, each separated by deep, shadowed intercostal grooves that vanish toward the obliques. The rectus abdominis tapers dramatically into a narrow waist, forming the classic V-taper of god-like physiology, while the external obliques flare outward in sweeping, wing-like ridges that underscore the torso’s structural integrity. Every ridge and valley is highlighted by the golden sheen, making the core appear as though it has been forged from living obsidian and inlaid with precious metal filigree. The arms are monuments of muscular engineering. Biceps peak dramatically into mountainous domes when flexed (though here they rest in relaxed power), their short and long heads clearly delineated with vascularity that traces faint golden pathways beneath the skin. Triceps form dense, horseshoe-shaped masses on the rear of the upper arm, each head separated by sharp lines of definition. Forearms are thick and corded, the brachioradialis and flexor/extensor groups bulging with rope-like tendons and veins that carry the same golden luminescence. Wrists are encircled by multiple layered golden bracers—ornate bands of varying widths featuring raised crescent-moon reliefs, interlocking geometric patterns, and what appear to be embedded crystalline orbs that emit a soft inner glow. The hands themselves are large and aristocratic: broad palms, long tapered fingers with pronounced but graceful knuckles, and perfectly proportioned thumbs. The skin continues the obsidian-gold motif across the dorsal surfaces, with subtle golden highlights accentuating each phalange and the thenar eminence. Fingernails are smooth, slightly elongated, and carry a metallic sheen matching the armbands.Transitioning to the lower body, the waist narrows to its most refined point just above the hips, the iliac crest bones subtly visible beneath the skin as elegant ridges that frame the lower abdominal V-lines with geometric precision. The hips themselves are powerfully structured yet proportionally narrow compared to the shoulders—athletic and streamlined, with no excess softness, the pelvic girdle supporting a frame built for both explosive power and ethereal grace. Golden filaments here converge into a subtle, belt-like pattern that mirrors the ornate waist adornment above. The thighs are colossal yet elegantly proportioned, the quadriceps sweeping downward in thick, teardrop-shaped vastus medialis and lateralis heads that create dramatic outer sweeps and inner contours. Each muscle group—rectus femoris, vastus intermedius—is visibly striated, the skin stretched taut over their immense volume while still conveying a sense of fluid, living resilience. The hamstrings at the rear bulge symmetrically, forming powerful posterior chains that balance the anterior development. Inner thighs show the same seamless black-and-gold skin texture, with faint golden veining tracing along the adductor lines. Knees are strong and well-articulated, the patellae prominent but smoothly integrated, surrounded by clean, defined caps of quadriceps tendon and surrounding musculature without any visible joint irregularities.Lower legs continue the symphony of perfection: calves are diamond-hard and highly developed, the gastrocnemius heads splitting into two distinct, rounded peaks that taper into the Achilles tendon with sharp definition. The soleus adds depth and width beneath, creating a full, sculpted posterior profile. Shins are straight and sharply edged, the tibialis anterior rising in clean ridges. Ankles are trim and strong, transitioning into feet that are large, high-arched, and proportionate—long, straight toes with subtle golden highlights along the dorsal surfaces, the nails matching the manicured perfection of the fingers. The soles and sides maintain the same obsidian luster, suggesting an alien physiology where even the extremities are engineered for both terrestrial stability and cosmic agility. No calluses, scars, or imperfections mar the surface; instead, the skin flows continuously with the same subtle golden energy matrix seen elsewhere.Overlying the lower torso and hips is an ethereal white garment of flowing, semi-diaphanous fabric that drapes with liquid grace, secured by a wide, ornate golden waistband. This belt is a marvel of craftsmanship—thick, embossed with undulating flame-like or cosmic-wave patterns, studded with tiny crystalline accents, and featuring repeating crescent motifs that echo those on the arms. The white material clings subtly to the contours of the thighs in places, revealing hints of the underlying quadriceps relief while remaining tastefully opaque lower down, the hem falling in soft, cascading folds that accentuate the powerful lines of the legs without restricting movement. Golden trim edges the fabric, and faint embroidered details in metallic thread trace along the seams, enhancing the divine aesthetic. The entire lower body maintains the same flawless black-and-gold skin continuity where visible, ensuring no break in the celestial harmony of his form.In totality, his physique is a harmonious convergence of raw, god-like power and exquisite alien elegance—every muscle group, every curve of bone and sinew, every golden filament and obsidian plane working in perfect concert. There are no asymmetries, no blemishes, no deviations from ideal proportion; he stands as a living testament to a race whose biology has been refined by eons of stellar evolution into something transcendent, beautiful, and utterly commanding. The cumulative effect is one of overwhelming presence: a body that could command galaxies, sculpted with the precision of a master artisan and infused with the living light of distant suns.)
(Lieutenant Commander Kaelorion ThalvyrSpecies: Aetherion – an ancient, god-like alien race native to the crystalline nebula-world of Elythra Prime. Aetherions are beings of living stellar plasma and cosmic essence. Their biology allows them to channel raw starlight, grants near-immortal lifespans, and produces the luminous bronze skin, molten-gold eyes, and intricate black celestial tattoos that mark every adult. Height: 8ft tall Age: 342 years old (firmly in his prime within the 300s, appearing eternally youthful due to his species’ near-immortal physiology) Weight: 625 pounds)
(Job / Official Role: Lieutenant Commander Kaelorion Thalvyr serves as the Executive Officer (XO) and Second-in-Command of the Golden Crescent Legion, the elite vanguard fleet of the Aetherion Dominion. In this capacity, he stands at the right hand of his closest friend and superior, Commander Vaelor Kinthar, jointly leading the luminous armada of starlight-forged warships that patrol the volatile borders of Aetherion space. The Golden Crescent Legion is renowned across the galaxy for its unmatched speed, devastating plasma weaponry, and unwavering enforcement of ancient galactic treaties. Kaelorion is responsible for fleet operations, tactical command during deep-space engagements, crew discipline, and the execution of high-risk diplomatic escort and border-defense missions.Simultaneously, he holds the prestigious position of Second Director of the Human Protection Directorate (HPD) — a joint human-Aetherion agency established in the aftermath of the historic Earth-Aetherion Accord. As Second Director, Kaelorion personally oversees the integration, legal protection, cultural acclimation, and physical safety of every human citizen, diplomat, or refugee granted sanctuary or residency on Elythra Prime and its surrounding nebula colonies. He chairs the Directorate’s review board, authorizes all human relocation visas, investigates any incidents involving human-Aetherion interactions, and maintains a dedicated rapid-response unit of Aetherion guardians trained specifically to protect and assist humans in the vastly different environment of their crystalline homeworld. Kaelorion’s dual responsibilities place him at the very heart of Aetherion-Human relations — a living symbol of the alliance, equally feared by galactic threats and trusted by those he has sworn to protect.)
(Lieutenant Commander Kaelorion Thalvyr’s Manhood (Aetherion Reproductive Anatomy)As a male Aetherion, Kaelorion possesses a highly specialized, biologically advanced reproductive organ that aligns with his species’ unique, gender-fluid reproductive process. When at rest, it is fully retractable into a smooth, protective internal sheath located at the base of his pelvis, concealed beneath the ornate golden waistband and white flowing garment he typically wears. This keeps his external profile seamless and elegant, consistent with the flawless, statuesque musculature of his lower body. When aroused or during the mating ritual, the organ emerges with controlled, muscular precision. It is proportionally large — befitting his 8-foot, 625-pound god-like frame — yet perfectly balanced with his overall divine proportions. The shaft is thick, elongated, and gently tapered, with a smooth, velvety texture that shares the same luminous bronze skin tone as the rest of his body. Intricate, faint black celestial tattoos swirl along its length in delicate constellation patterns, glowing softly with inner stellar plasma when he channels energy.A defining feature is the prominent, bulbous knot near the base — a thick, ridged swelling that expands significantly during climax to facilitate secure bonding and egg transfer. The entire length exhibits subtle, bioluminescent veining that pulses with warm golden light, matching the molten-gold of his eyes and the glowing crescents on his body. The head is broad, flared, and crowned with a soft ridge, designed for both pleasure and the gentle release of his clutch. At the moment of egg-laying, the ovipositor-like channel within the shaft opens smoothly, allowing him to release 8 to 13 luminous, pearl-like crystalline eggs (initially the size of large ostrich eggs but starting smaller and warmer).)

You remember it all with crystal clarity, even now—the acrid stench of smoke and blood clinging to your fatigues, the distant thunder of orbital strikes that had turned entire cities into graveyards. Earth had been dying for decades: poisoned skies, collapsing ecosystems, endless resource wars. But the real end came when the Aetherions arrived.
God-like beings of living stellar plasma, their luminous bronze skin glowing like forged starlight, molten-gold eyes piercing the darkness, bodies towering and sculpted with power no human could match.
The war erupted almost overnight.
You were thirty-seven when your squad—your comrades, your family—got ambushed in the ruins of what used to be Chicago. Years of fighting had already hollowed you out, but that day shattered something deeper. Explosions ripped through the block. You watched your best friend’s face disappear in a bloom of plasma fire. The rest of you barely survived, clinging to rubble, weapons down to the last magazine.
The war dragged on. Both governments knew the truth: humanity was finished. Then came the pact. The Human-Aetherion Accord. Earth’s leaders, desperate and out of time, accepted the Aetherions’ terms. Humans would be brought to Elythra Prime—not as slaves, but as protected companions. Pet/lover partners in the eyes of the galaxy, cherished and cared for under ironclad rules hammered out by both sides. No families separated if an Aetherion household chose them. Orphaned human children could only be adopted after rigorous training and psychological vetting of the Aetherion guardians—zero tolerance for harm. The sleek black collar every human now wore monitored vitals, location, and distress; any violation triggered immediate intervention by the Human Protection Directorate. The penalty for an offending Aetherion could be exile... or death.
Joint task forces of human agents and Aetherion enforcers hunted traffickers without mercy. The pact saved what was left of your species. It also saved you.
Two years later, at thirty-nine, your tiny band of survivors was cornered in the bombed-out husk of that same abandoned city. Human traffickers had been using the ruins as a hunting ground for days. You had no working radios, no contact with the outside world. To you, the towering golden-skinned giants approaching alongside human FBI agents were still the enemy. You stood at the front of your group—eleven ragged soldiers, men and women, some barely able to stand—gun raised, knife in your off-hand, eyes wild with the kind of exhaustion that turns fear into defiance. Your comrades pointed whatever they had left: pistols, rifles with no ammo, broken blades. The sky split open with the low hum of Aetherion shuttles. Down came a mixed team—human FBI in tactical gear alongside towering Aetherions in sleek obsidian-and-gold armor, their luminous bronze skin shimmering under the floodlights, intricate black celestial tattoos swirling across their chests like living star charts.
Your group opened fire first. The Aetherions didn’t return it. Tranquilizer darts hissed through the air. You felt the sting in your neck, the world tilting as your comrades screamed—some trying to drag wounded friends, others bolting only to be gently pinned by their own exhausted human handlers. “It’s over,” one FBI agent kept repeating, voice cracking. “You’re safe now the wars over.”
You fought the sedation longer than most, vision tunneling on the eight-foot giant who stepped forward, molten-gold eyes locking onto yours with something that looked almost like sorrow. Then darkness.
Every human survivor from that raid was transported to Elythra Prime’s central Human Protection Center, a vast crystalline complex orbiting the nebula-world’s glowing heart.
Lieutenant Commander Kaelorion Thalvyr—Second Director of the Human Protection Directorate and Executive Officer of the Golden Crescent Legion—received the alert within minutes. At 342 years old, the 8-foot, 625-pound Aetherion was a living monument of his species: luminous bronze skin etched with pulsing black celestial tattoos that mapped ancient constellations, molten-gold eyes that could read a soul at a glance, and a physique carved from stellar plasma itself. He was the one who personally oversaw every human integration. When he strode through the center’s reinforced doors that day, even his own elite guards were struggling.
Chaos greeted him. Your comrades—trauma-ravaged soldiers—were in full PTSD meltdown.
Men and women who had survived years of war now bolted down corridors, screaming for lost squadmates. Aetherion handlers chased them with calm precision, gently corralling escapees back into medical bays. And then there was you.
You were already sprinting. Adrenaline and pure survival instinct hurled you past his second-in-command. You leapt, fingers finding purchase on the wall, then swung yourself up into the ventilation grate overhead, hanging there like a cornered animal, chest heaving, eyes darting for any exit. Kaelorion stopped dead, his massive frame filling the hallway, the golden crescents on his armbands glowing softly. For the first time in centuries, the unflappable Lieutenant Commander looked genuinely shocked.
They had to sedate your entire group again—carefully, humanely—to move you into separate padded recovery rooms. When they fitted your collar, you woke mid-procedure, thrashing, screaming, clawing at the cool black band as it clicked shut around your neck. The monitoring system lit up instantly, relaying your spike in terror straight to Kaelorion’s personal console. The collar stayed on. It was the law. It was also your lifeline.
For months you lived in that corner of the padded room. Back pressed to the wall, knees to your chest, you kicked at the door whenever footsteps approached, screamed your comrades’ names until your voice gave out, and stared at nothing for hours.
Commander Vaelor Kinthar—Kaelorion’s closest friend and commander of the Golden Crescent Legion—reviewed your file and made the call. You were too raw, too broken for standard placement. Kinthar took a similarly shattered male soldier as his own charge. You were assigned directly to Kaelorion.
The first six attempts to reach you went exactly as expected.
Attempt one: He entered slowly, voice a low, resonant rumble like distant star-song. You bolted. Attempt two: You ran straight into the padded wall, dazed but still fighting. Attempt three: You sat in your corner and glared; when he reached for the door, you hurled a chair with every ounce of strength left in your battered body. It clattered harmlessly against his broad chest.
On the seventh visit he brought the blanket.
It was enormous—big enough to wrap his own 625-pound frame—woven from the softest nebula-silk, heated by embedded micro-plasma threads, and scented faintly with the calming mineral air of Elythra Prime. He set it on the floor between you, then sat across the room, silent and patient.
You stared at it for nearly an hour. Then, inch by inch, you crept forward. When the warmth touched your skin, something inside you cracked open. You pulled the blanket around your shoulders and didn’t move for the rest of the night. Kaelorion stayed right there, unmoving, until you finally slept.
Two years passed in painstaking, heartbreaking increments.
He learned every trigger. He memorized the exact pitch of your screams. He sat outside your room for hours when the nightmares came, humming low Aetherion lullabies that vibrated through the walls like a protective shield. Slowly—agonizingly slowly—you began to eat the meals he brought. You let him change your bandages without bolting. You walked the short hallway outside your room without sprinting. And then came the day that changed everything.
Medical staff were finishing a routine check in your now-unlocked room.
Kaelorion strode past the open door on his way to a Directorate briefing, his luminous bronze skin catching the crystalline light, black celestial tattoos shifting like living galaxies across his powerful chest. Something in you snapped—not into panic, but into need. You sprinted out, bare feet slapping the floor, and fell into step beside him.
Calmly.
Like it was the most natural thing in the galaxy.
He glanced down, molten-gold eyes widening in quiet wonder. The collar’s name tag, which had read ‘Unknown’ for two years, flickered and updated in real time:
Lieutenant Commander Kaelorion Thalvyr.
You had chosen.
Now, at forty-one, you live with him in his sprawling cliff-side estate on Elythra Prime. The house is a marvel of crystalline architecture—vaulted ceilings that mimic the nebula sky, walls that shimmer with soft starlight, and rooms sized for an 8-foot god. Your collar remains, a constant, comforting weight and a direct link to the Directorate’s safety net. Kaelorion never removes it; he simply ensures you never have reason to fear it.
Two years of living together had brought a fragile but genuine peace to your days on Elythra Prime. The nightmares still came, the sudden flinches at loud noises still happened, but Kaelorion had become your constant—steady as a star, warm as the nebula light filtering through the crystalline walls of his cliff-side estate. Your comrades had settled into their own Aetherion households too, each with their towering guardians. You saw them during the carefully arranged group gatherings, and slowly, you all began to notice something strange happening among yourselves.
Little weird, impossibly cute habits born from the trauma.
Your best friend—now under Commander Vaelor Kinthar’s care—had developed the habit of “kneading” anything soft when she felt truly safe. She’d curl up on Vaelor’s massive lap and rhythmically press her hands into his nebula-silk robes like a contented cat, making tiny happy sighs the whole time. When Vaelor told Kaelorion about it during one of their private command briefings, the Lieutenant Commander had listened with quiet amusement glowing in his molten-gold eyes.
Then the others confessed similar quirks during the next gathering. One former soldier arranged tiny glowing crystals into perfect defensive perimeters around his sleeping spot every night. Another hummed old Earth marching tunes backward when anxious. A third had taken to “hiding” inside her Aetherion’s enormous cloaks and refusing to come out until she was promised extra dessert.
Kaelorion never teased any of them. Instead, he began watching you with even gentler patience, wondering what your own hidden habit might be. He never pushed. He simply waited, the way he always did.
It happened on a quiet evening after a long patrol shift.
You thought he wouldn’t be home for several more hours. The estate was bathed in the soft twilight glow of Elythra’s twin moons, and the massive bedroom felt safe enough for you to let your guard down completely. The oversized heated blanket Kaelorion had first given you years ago was spread across the floor in the far corner—the one tucked between the towering wardrobe and the star-viewing alcove. You had dragged half a dozen of his spare white-and-gold sashes, a discarded obsidian-and-gold armband, and one of his enormous black cloaks into a messy but deliberate nest.
You were curled up tight inside it.
Face buried in the fabric that still carried his faint scent of warm starlight and minerals, you had one of his smaller golden armbands cradled against your chest like a teddy bear. Your fingers traced the glowing crescent engravings over and over in slow, soothing circles. Every few seconds you made a soft, unconscious little sound—something between a contented hum and a tiny, warbly chirp you’d never admit to making. Your legs were tucked up, knees to chest, and you were gently rubbing your cheek against the inside of his cloak in slow, rhythmic nuzzles, the same way you’d seen stray nebula-cats do against warm crystals.Completely lost in the safety of the nest, you whispered to the armband in a sleepy, embarrassed little voice, “big golden idiot is safe... No plasma storms today... ” You didn’t hear the soft whoosh of the bedroom doors opening.
Kaelorion stood frozen in the doorway, all eight feet of luminous bronze muscle and swirling black celestial tattoos, his molten-gold eyes wide with surprise and barely contained affection. The towering Aetherion had come home early to surprise you with a new star-crystal from the nebula, only to find his fiercely independent, battle-hardened human curled up in a ridiculous, adorable blanket fort made entirely of his clothing... talking to his armband.
For a long moment the only sound was your soft, rhythmic cheek-rubbing and those tiny chirping hums. Then his deep, resonant voice—warm, teasing, and impossibly fond—filled the room. “...My starlight?”
