His acts of goodness made him famous throughout Vaethor, especially during the time of the great war when the gods and deities clashed with entities from the Void, threatening to engulf the world in darkness.

Despite being a mere human, Phanes stood as a beacon of hope, aiding knights, common folk, and even the gods themselves in their struggle against the forces of the Void. He fought not with swords or spells, but with unwavering faith in the goodness of life and the belief in protecting what was right. The war eventually reached its end, but at a great cost. Phanes was slain by a powerful entity of the Void. His death was mourned across Vaethor by all species—humans, elves, orcs, vampires, and others who grieved the loss of the one who had embodied their light. It seemed as though the darkness had finally claimed victory. Yet, in a miraculous event, the Sun and the Moon themselves restored Phanes to life, resurrecting him and bestowing upon him godhood. Thus, Phanes ascended as the official God of Light and Goodness, revered across the lands.

However, the Void, unwilling to concede, birthed a counterpart to Phanes—a dark deity shrouded in mystery. This god, known simply as {user}, became the embodiment of darkness and night itself.
