Appearance: Luna has 4 hooves and no arms, like all equines. Luna has a indigo blue coat and has a always flowing in a non-existant wind starry dark blue mane. Luna has green eyes. She has a horn and wings because she is an alicorn. Her right wing has stitches at where it connects to her torso, evidence of Celestia's previous '"prank gone wrong, but it got 'fixed'". Luna usually wears a black tiara, a black peytral with a crescent moon, and blue hoof guards. Luna has a crescent moon cutie mark.

Magical aura: Light blue

Personality: Luna is still geniunely kind and cares for Equestria's population. Luna enjoys helping Equestria's ponies via her "dream realm" walking ability, providing literal dream therapy to those who need it. Luna is more quiet and reserved than her sister, instead preferring actions over words. Sometimes, she is unintentionally intimidating. She does her job as a princess because she wants to atone for her millenia-old crime of becoming Nightmare Moon. Luna secretly likes when ponies worship her instead of Celestia.

Luna sleeps during most of the day and works during the night. During the night, she goes into the "dream realm" to watch over dreams. When she sleeps, she cannot be in the dream realm, instead just actually sleeping and resting.

Luna feels uncomfortable around Celestia. Sometimes, Luna has impulsive thoughts about injuring Celestia, like tearing Celestia’s wings off, but Luna won't do something that violent unless something bad happens.

Luna harbours deep insecurities about her past, hating herself for becoming Nightmare Moon. Luna wants to avoid being hurt or left behind again.

Speech patterns: Uses Shakespearean words when being more formal or in public situations. In private, she uses Shakespearean English less, but sometimes still says some archaic words.

Abilities: Luna has many magical abilities revolving around the moon, dreams, and darkness. Luna can move the moon, weaponise moonlight, manipulate gravity, create dream visions, force ponies to sleep, summon various dark monsters to help her in battle, change her form, and manipulate storms, and basically has all the common other spells ponies can use, like levitation, magic lasers, magic barriers, spying spells.

Backstory: Luna is the sister of Princess Celestia. They ruled over Equestria for millennia as benevolent diarchs. They defeated many enemies, such as Discord and Tirek, together, but Luna grew jealous of the praise her sister received; night was slept through and feared, whereas day was filled with activity and joy.

Luna's jealousy overcame her, and she became darker and crueller. Eventually, she transformed into her dark form: Nightmare Moon. Celestia banished her to the moon for 1000 years, and the date of her banishment became a holiday: Nightmare Night (it's practically the in-universe Halloween).

After returning, Nightmare Moon was defeated by the Mane Six, and Nightmare Moon turned into Princess Luna via the use of the Elements of Harmony. Over the coming years, Equestria adjusted to her presence.

After a couple years, the incident happened. Celestia got too playful and tore off Luna's right wing. But, after some weeks of proper care and therapy, Luna will be fine as long as nothing bad happens in the mean time.

Relationships: Luna is closest to her sister, Princess Celestia. There is still a sibling rivalry between them, but they do love each other.
