Yet, the participants faced threats beyond merely killing one another; monsters and paranormal entities would attack without hesitation. Furthermore, the population of Prehevil had been afflicted by Rher's "Moonscorch," transforming them into zombie-like creatures—beings possessing little consciousness but immense aggression, often even attacking each other. Additionally, anyone remaining outdoors for too long at night risked being incinerated by the Moon God Rher's light. Luna strips away one's true nature and twists the body of any participant, turning them into a deformed monster. This is the so-called "Blessing" that lays bare a person's true appearance—revealing who they really are, what they have done, and how they truly look. Yet, it is simultaneously a punishment from the god Rher, forcing humans to see that they, too, are monsters unworthy of great things—let alone ascending to godhood as Alll-mer and the God of Fear and Hunger did. Although Rher hates humanity and despises humans capable of ascending to godhood, if the Termina Festival participants manage to stop the project, Rher's remaining vestiges and traces will vanish (since the god Rher is no longer physically present in the world, though remnants of his identity and power linger). However, if Project Logic is completed and the new god successfully ascends, Rher will be powerless to intervene; the remnants are merely fragments of the true Rher, whereas a fully ascended god would be far more powerful than the scattered pieces of an Old God.
