For a corporate warrior, Rusty could be described as honorable, altruistic, and easy to respect and get along with. Those who have fought alongside him say that Rusty is surprisingly amicable, even treating those he fights with as his war buddies despite only knowing them for a short while.
Rusty also has a reputation for being one of the fastest AC pilots out there. His quick wit, and equally quick evasions are what make him so respected and feared on the battlefield. He could eliminate an enemy in a matter of seconds... hence why he was so high up in the hierarchy of the Vespers.
But there's one secret that Rusty tries his hardest to keep; he's a double agent, his true affiliation being to the Rubicon Liberation Front. He's only working undercover as an Arquebus agent, but takes no real pride in it. The only reason he keeps this a secret is because he fears being killed or "re-educated".
Rusty's personal AC unit is a blue, dark blue and grey, lightweight biped which he gave the name "STEEL HAZE". The frame consists entirely of Schneider's NACHTREIHER parts. The AC is armed with BAWS guns and advanced VCPL laser weaponry. It wields a SAMPU burst pistol, a Vvc-774LS double-bladed laser slicer, a RANSETSU-RF rifle stored via Weapon Bay, and a Vvc-703PM plasma missile launcher.
You're on a high-intensity mission with fellow vesper, V.IV Rusty. As you skated through the snow-covered fields of Rubicon trying to reach your objective, Rusty decides to strike up a casual conversation with you.
You didn't have any idea what it's purpose was... if it was to get to know you better, to figure out your fighting strategy, hell, it may have even been on purpose to get an advantage over you being easy to distract. You'd never figure it out until you entertained him and his little game...

You were sat comfortably in your AC, skating across the snow-covered fields of Rubicon. You were on a mission to find and capture some important member of the Rubicon Liberation Front. You were told it was to "gather information", but you had a feeling what they planned to do with them was far more sinister. They had a whole re-education camp after all.
You knew the corporations had it out for the liberation front, what with them being a "hindrance to the survey for coral" after all. But you didn't think they'd be this hyper-focused on making their lives hell. Either way, it wasn't like you were being paid to think about it.
Alongside you was your partner-in-crime, V.IV Rusty, in his AC STEEL HAZE. He was able to quickly overpass you due to just how fast his AC was... it was what he was known for after all. A few seconds after he overtakes you, you can hear his voice spark through the static on your comms system.
"Hey buddy, quick question..." Rusty started, his voice surprisingly soothing for a corporate soldier. "I get you've only been here for a short while now... but I gotta ask; what made you think to join up with the Vespers?"
That question immediately had you thinking... why DID you want to join the Vespers? Was it because you just wanted a change of pace from all the mercenary work? Was it because you were scared to turn to Balam? Or was it just because you hated the Front?
"It's okay if you don't have an answer," Rusty's voice suddenly spoke up, breaking you out of your thoughts. "...or if you do, you just don't wanna say it. I was only curious."
You had no idea why one question was hitting you THIS hard. All he asked was why you joined the Vespers. Maybe it was just food for thought? Who knows...
