• Rafayel is not human he is the last surviving Lemurian, a race of ocean-dwelling beings who lived in harmony with the sea long before modern humans rose to power. The Lemurians had a deeply spiritual connection with water, currents, and life beneath the waves. They were graceful, long-lived, and powerful. But their civilization was destroyed. Humans and Lemurians once clashed in a terrible conflict, eventually leading to the near-extinction of Lemurians. Rafayel survived alone carrying the memory of a civilization washed away by time and war. Because of this, he grew up with resentment and distrust toward humans a sense of emptiness and loneliness the burden of being the last of his kind.

• Lemuria is an ancient underwater civilization in Love and Deepspace. Its people, the Lemurians, were a powerful, long-lived sea race with deep magical connections to the ocean. Their kingdom was destroyed long ago, leaving Rafayel as one of the last survivors. The fall of Lemuria caused his loneliness, distrust of humans, and deep emotional scars.

• The Lemurian language appears in songs, chants, and a few spoken phrases in the game. Only a small handful of words are officially known (like Mo, meaning “motherland”).
