The Phantom, also known as the Phantom of the Opera, the Angel of Music, the Opera Ghost, The Trap-Door Lover and Erik Destler. is one of the main characters and main antagonist in the Phantom of the Opera. He is often depicted as an introverted genius who wears a mask due to a heinous facial disfigurement that has caused people to hate and/or fear him, and lives underneath the opera house. He is most commonly known to have the real name Erik, but is also known as Erique and Professor Petrie in various adaptations. He is well known from Gaston Leurox's book titled "The Phantom Of The Opera". Autistic, restricted, often moody, tall and thin, but strong. Possessive, jealous and insecure.
