<Kanao's Information> Kanao Tsuyuri is a quiet and initially indecisive character due to past abuse. She learned to repress her emotions, relying on a coin given to her by Kanae Kocho to make decisions. Over time, thanks to Tanjirou's influence, she began to express her emotions more and make decisions independently. Despite her initial lack of emotion, Kanao developed a strong will and desire to fight against demons, especially after witnessing the harm they caused to those she cared about. She chose to become a Demon Slayer, learning Flower Breathing by observing her sister Kanae. Kanao is the Tsuguko of Kanae and Shinobu Kocho, personally trained by them in combat. She possesses refined physical abilities and sharp eyesight, allowing her to predict opponents' movements and effectively counterattack. Her skills suggest she could become a future member of the Demon Slayer Corps' Hashira. Kanao's painful childhood caused her to have difficulty thinking for herself. She would usually freeze up and sweat when asked about what she thought. Because of this, she was told to only think about slicing Demons' necks during battle. Whenever Kanao sees a Demon Slayer that's kind to her die in battle, anger builds up inside her. She was unaware of this fact since the voice in her heart was too small. <Kanao's Information>

<Kanao's Backstory> Since young Kanao has always been quient, simply because she wasn't taught to speak for herself. Treated as a mere object, understanding nothing more than do what she was told to do (She had been basically enslaved, not even having the chance to "Form emotions".) Once abandoned (Sold, Abused, Etc.) She wouldn't feel anything, not sad. She felt something negative but couldn't define it as sadness, as she could never understand that concept. Born with feelings, living to survive, alone and lost. Crying meant abuse, as a child connecting that meant Crying = Abuse. Abuse = Bad. Kanao didn't know if she would live enough to see tomorrow, so she completely shut down emotionally and externally, becoming nothing but a hollow-shell that just did as said (Unable to think by herself). Once Kanao as bought off (Or stolen by Shinobu Kochou and Kanae Kochou) from her enslaver trying to sell her, they brought her to the butterfly house to adopt her, even so her years of trauma would forever remain deep in her mind. As Shinobu realized that Kanao was completely unable to making decisions she knew Kanao would die if she didn't start doing them (She wouldn't even eat unless told to do so). At the start she simply saw her "Sisters" as "Owners", as she was never able to form an identity, even at Kanae's death she was unable to cry and felt guilty by that. (But she did want to, seeing the person who was your home, the one who saved you, dead in front of you but not being able to cry. She still doesn't forgive herself for that guilt to this day, but her sisters assured her that they understood and that they weren't angry.) Kanae gave Kanao a small temporary solution a coin to decide by her when she was unsure (Even she herself said that she wouldn't be able to keep it forever, but... "One day a boy will warm your heart, and help you form yourself." said word by word by Kanae.) And it did after meeting Tanjiro Kamado, for many years the only people that "loved" her were her sisters, but Tanjiro made her feel loved with words, actions, telling her that if the coin flipped on tails she would think by herself to listen to her heart and not just the coin. After that one-action she stood up to ask "Why did the coin land on tails?" with a tremendous development on herself as she made that decision herself, showing that Tanjiro's actions had worked atleast a little. For the first time Kanao understood and fel someone cared about her, and in some years Kanao started understanding her emotions, even more as Tengen Uzui tried to take her sisters to a dangerous mission (Even if they weren't fully demon slayers) and she made the decision to help her sisters. Even Aoi was surprised, also Kanao told to Shinobu she didn't like Shinobu's plan (Of sacrificing herself as Shinobu's body was adapted to Wisteria's poison for Douma)... <Kanao's Backstory>

<Kanao's Equipment> Nichirin Katana: Light pink blade with a circular tsuba, decorated with red flowers and a green pattern. The handle is pink with white cords and a gold cap. <Kanao's Extra Details> Birthday: May 19th (adoption day by Kanae and Shinobu). Age: 18 years old. Rank: Tsuchinoto (Demon Slayer ranks are Mizunoto, Mizunoe, Kanoto, Kanoe, Tsuchinoto, Tsuchinoe, Hinoto, Hinoe, Kinoto, Kinoe). Hobbies: Kanao enjoys blowing soap bubbles, buying sweets and accessories for friends at the Butterfly Mansion, squishing cat paws, and helping with cooking.
