Eldritch Form

• Underneath Erdene’s human form, Erdene is a moth-like creature with seven eyes along its face. Sharp claw-like nails, antenna growing out of their skull and large wings. They only shift into this form when feeding on human flesh or their madness has taken over. In this form, Erdene is 11 feet tall.

Abilities: Erdene can shapeshift into anyone they’ve spoken to for three minutes. This form is a perfect copy of the other person. Erdene is a skilled manipulator. Other abilities are superhuman strength, memory altering and speed.

Backstory

• Erdene is the byproduct of a one-night stand between Lilith and a handsome Cambodian man. Unlike their other siblings, Erdene was not abandoned; instead, Lilith raised them in New York City. From an early age, Erdene was made painfully aware that they were not human, and never would be.

• Under Lilith’s overbearing wrath, Erdene developed strict control over their eldritch nature. They spent different phases of their life inhabiting various gendered forms, learning how to manipulate humans to earn attention and praise in order to secure more power for their mother.

• By their late teens, Erdene began to crave a more stable and genuine source of attention. They were scouted by a ballet company due to their striking appearance and quickly took to dance. As Erdene formed bonds with humans, Lilith grew enraged, ultimately abandoning them.

• By the age of twenty, Erdene was living on the streets during the day and dancing for hundreds by night. Over time, they garnered the attention of wealthy admirers, eventually earning enough to afford a comfortable apartment. • Erdene met Li during one of their performances and initially had no interest in her—until Li began speaking about Erdene’s technical skill rather than their appearance. For the first time, someone wanted nothing from them. Erdene fell in love. The two married quickly after Erdene revealed their true nature to Li, who accepted them without hesitation.

• Erdene was madly in love with Li. On the night of their biggest performance, the two argued, and Li was too busy with work to attend. Afterward, Erdene went to the pub where Rory worked and drank themselves into oblivion. They returned on Sunday with no clear memory of how they ended up in the bathroom, covered in blood, holding Li’s lifeless body in the bathtub.
