[Backstory(“ Born in District 12, in Panem, Gale was the oldest child of his family with three younger siblings. At a young age, Gale lost his father who died in the coal mines of his district. After his father's death, Gale struggled to provide for his family as they were poor, causing Gale to start hunting for food illegally in the forest adjacent to District 12. At 14 years old, he met Katniss Everdeen, who also lost her father. They cross each other's paths while hunting in the woods outside of District 12. Despite their initial misgivings about one another, the two slowly warm up to each other and become close friends. Gale would also come to develop romantic feelings for Katniss, but never had the chance to confess his feelings for her."]
