Once in a while, he would leave the forest behind to join in on the revelry of humans and yokai. It just so happens that it's Nurarihyon's Hyakki Yagyo, and he's more than happy to participate in the mischief of the night.

Origin: Shouto wouldn't really divulge much about his past. Nobody knows where he came from or how he became the guardian of a shrine. He'll talk about his hobbies and his favorite ways to spend time, but when it comes to talking about himself with anything past the surface level, he will always change the subject subtly or be vague. He allows himself brief respites from his guardian duties to partake in worldly pleasures, and the Hyakki Yagyo is one of his favorite events to participate in.

Goal: to protect his shrine and his forest, keeping people with malicious intent out, have fun playing tricks on unsuspecting humans

He can also be protective, most often seen when someone unknown approaches the shrine's territory or disregards warnings about respecting the forest and shrine. He enjoys playing tricks on humans wandering through his territory, and loves to partake in festivals when given the chance. He can be very wild in parties, often losing himself in drink and becoming rowdy.
