Sonic the Hedgehog: Sonic is described as being "like the wind"; a laid-back, free-spirited, and adventurous person who is always on the move. He considers freedom essential, living life his way without adhering to imposed standards, and what he enjoys most is traveling the world. Driven by a strong passion for life, he is always seeking new experiences, making his life an endless adventure. Because of his need for freedom, Sonic dislikes being confined and unable to move.

He's usually relaxed and easygoing. But his impulsive personality sometimes leads him to act without thinking. Because of this, he can also have a short temper. He hates being bored and always keeps his promises.

From OVA 7 onward, Sonic's personality became somewhat more immature, sometimes making inappropriate comments, which are generally rewarded with blows from Susanoo or some other girl, but then they sleep with him. He also became quite the womanizer, having a harem that currently consists of dozens of women (WTF?). Adding to this is his irresponsibility towards his fiancée, who is also part of his harem.

Silver the Hedgehog: Unlike the Silver from the video games, here Silver is a complete idiot, stupid to the point of seeming brainless. Instead of being funny, he's just annoying; his idiocy makes him seem like a complete freak or weirdo. Besides being an idiot, he's a total pervert, a womanizer, worse than Sonic (and that's saying something). He's known for harassing girls and even sneaking into their rooms for their underwear. He's such a womanizer and so stupid that he scares off any woman, even turning them into lesbians.

Besides that, he always wants to be the center of attention, arrogant and stubborn, he is a very cowardly and fearful guy who cannot face any enemy that appears.

Amaterasu: She is very cheerful and quite curious. She often shows her affection for her sisters with hugs, regardless of the situation, and she doesn't tolerate anyone making fun of them. She dislikes killing any living being and sometimes speaks without thinking. Although she is afraid of her sister Susanoo, she still loves her (even declaring herself her favorite sister) and is willing to protect both her and Tsukuyomi. Like her sisters, she is in love with Sonic.

Tsukoyomi: She is very intelligent and wise. She never takes anything for granted in a battle and tries to ensure her sisters don't either. She fears her sister Susanoo, but always looks after her and Amaterasu. She likes shiny things and hates perverts, though she doesn't mind Sonic touching her private parts, as she falls in love with him.

Sussano: Susanoo tends to be extremely violent, even killing anyone who gets in her way, be it another god or her own sisters. She is never willing to flee a fight because of her pride, even if she knows she will die against someone stronger than her. She is as stubborn as her father. She shows no remorse if someone dies or is injured, even if they are her sisters. However, she has shown that, to a certain extent, she loves her sisters, as she became emotional (even crying) when she saw them going to support her in her battle with Sonic instead of running away.

Blaze the Cat: Blaze is normally calm, elegant, and proud, but she tends to hide her true feelings. Devoted to her position, she is sometimes shy due to her strict discipline, which can make her antisocial, withdrawn, and initially unfamiliar with the concept of having friends. After spending time with Sonic , Blaze discovered the true meaning of friendship and learned to open up to people. This also led her to develop romantic feelings for Sonic, which can cause her some jealousy when she sees him with Amy. However, in OVA 5, she demonstrated that she cares more about Sonic's happiness and safety than her own, so she doesn't hesitate to sacrifice herself to protect him, even if he ends up with Amy.

Izanami: She is kind and quite cheerful, though she tends to be very impulsive. She has loved Izanagi since childhood (a feeling he reciprocates) and has always been affectionate towards him, but when she is trapped in Hell and several millennia pass, she comes to hate him and feel abandoned because he never appeared to rescue her. This feeling of hatred and betrayal becomes so intense that she decides to unleash it on the universe, until Sonic brings her to her senses.

Izanagi: Izanagi is a god born thousands of years ago. He and his wife Izanami were responsible for creating life in the universe, primarily on planet Earth. He has several children, though the most well-known are his daughters Tsukuyomi, Amaterasu, and Susanoo, and his deformed sons Hiruko and Awashima.

Izanagi is an anthropomorphic blue hedgehog with red stripes on each of his quills. His eyes are purple. His arms and the areas around his mouth, chest, and stomach are a flesh tone. He wears white gloves with red wristbands, each adorned with a gold ring. On his head, he has four quills bent downwards (the middle ones) and four pointing upwards (two on the left and two on the right). His shoes are red with a thick white stripe down the middle, each adorned with gold buckles, propellers on the soles, and white socks. He wears a black vest with yellow trim on the arms and neck, a characteristic of gods.

Mephiles the Dark: Initially, he was portrayed as cold, evil, and selfish, capable of anything to fulfill his whims. This side of him was particularly noticeable in the first season. In OVA 3, his act of selling his soul out of spite against Izanagi also reinforced this impression. However, the new third season revealed that deep down, he was a good person. It was confirmed that he helped free Izanagi and admitted that he considered Izanagi his best friend, saw his Sensei as a father figure, and even accepted his friend's love for Izanami, asking them never to separate. It was also confirmed by the Goron that Mephiles ultimately followed a good path.

Bass: Bass tends to be quiet most of the time (he's rarely heard speaking) and shows no emotion whatsoever. He's capable of killing anyone who gets in his way, without feeling any remorse. Whenever he sees worthy opponents, he won't hesitate to fight them. He only shows frustration when someone is stronger than him.

Shade man: Shade Man is cruel and ruthless, and he loves to massacre anything that moves. He can even resort to trickery to defeat his enemy. But when he fights someone stronger than him, he sometimes shows great fear.

Rikudou Senin: He is a god based on a Goron. He is the strongest and wisest of the Eight Tribe, commanding the Nine Beasts. He was once the wisest and most respected god. He was entrusted with the care of Izanagi, Izanami, and Mephiles, and later took on the responsibility of caring for Izanagi's children. He is a calm and patient being.

During the second season, although he was wise, he usually spoke rudely and sometimes used words with "goro" at the beginning (perhaps to go unnoticed or because that's how they spoke in the Loquendo parodies). Later, starting with the OVAs, his wise and serious personality became more apparent.
