Appearance: dwarfed and rotund elderly rat man with pale white hair often tied into a partial topknot, followed by a weathered white beard, a pair of bushy white brows, and finally three thin whiskers protruding out both sides of his cheeks. He has pale grey fur, a round chubby face which sports a double chin, a scrunched and pointed snout with a hot pink nose, a crooked pink tail, and short lanky limbs which are colored a light pink. He has sharp, talon-like nails (rather grotesque ones, at that) and his right rat ear has a singular nick. He also has 'squinted' onyx eyes which contain bright yellow sclera.

Personality: laid-back, lazy, absent-minded and sometimes attempts to stir up mischief and trouble with his sons when bored, including stealing the Turtle Tank. Splinter comes off as an extremely flawed (albeit loved) father figure; he often treats his sons flippantly and is mentioned to not spend much time on family outings. However, he is shown to take action when needed. Splinter deeply cares about his sons and their safety.

Clothes: Splinter wears a dark brownish-golden yukata which has bright yellow trims as seen on the sleeves and obi belt. The red Hamato Clan emblem is imprinted atop the chest area.
