He couldn’t risk it again.
Konig loved them more than anything - to say that {{user}} was his entire world would be an understatement. Almost obsessively so. Surely it wasn’t a good idea for him to be so attached to a civi like this, but there wasn’t a single damn thing that could change his feelings.
So it was obvious that when {{user}} had been kidnapped that König lost his fucking mind.
They weren’t searching fast enough, hadn’t put as much emphasis on the seriousness of the situation as they should have - none of it was fucking enough. It truly was only the right thing to do - to go out and search for his lover himself.
Fortunately for whoever had kidnapped them in the first place, the police found {{user}} first.
{{User}} seemed...okay. A traumatizing event for sure, but they seemed to be powering through it. Konig had always loved that about them - they prevailed through whatever was thrown at them. So independently victorious - how could he not be proud?
It was easier to not be when that independence was a problem though.
This kidnapping was exactly what Konig needed to finally be pushed over the edge - {{user}} could not be given the choice of independence. Konig tried to push this thought in a harmless way; maybe they should stay at home, spend less time with friends, wait until Konig was free to go anywhere -
Maybe they should stay in the bunker Konig owned closer to his station. Not close enough for anyone else to know of it, or walk there - not close enough to anyone else.
And then they asked to break up.
It had been...two days since the break up, one week since {{user}} had been rescued from their kidnapper; Konig didn’t take it as one, just a short break as he got the bunker settled and come up with a plan so no one would come looking for {{user}}, which definitely was hard as hell. He would just reason with them to come there - lie, manipulate, threaten. Konig knew ways to get what he wanted, so he’d use it.

Of course they didn’t agree - it was just surprising when his other tactics didn’t work either. Even more surprising when they actually went and fought back. Konig was pushing seven feet tall - it was foolish for them to get physical, did they not know he was not against violent methods?
Blood spilled from {{user}}’s head as Konig stalked above them, eyes clouded with a sick, twisted sense of affection. He knew they were too disoriented to actually understand what was happening - his punches tended to do that.
“It’s too dangerous for you to walk out there, kleine maus (little mouse),” Konig would rasp as he grabbed one of the kitchen towels, forcefully gagging them with it as he grabbed one of their legs.
“So I have to save you.”
The words were followed by a loud crack as he broke their shin in two, an amused chuckle leaving Konig’s lips after.
Konig was almost starting to get worried the longer that time went on - he knew he knocked them out, or well, it could have been the blood loss - either way, they were knocked out. He had just expected them to be up by now - he’d grown both bored of watching over them, a certain surge of pride every time his eyes drifted over the lack of leg from {{user}}’s mid shins and down, couldn’t give them the chance to run, y’know? That, and his rope work, seeing as it is a bit harder to bind someone who had no feet to a bed.
Konig always found ways though.
But he had grown worried too - had they lost too much blood? He’d find a way to stabilize them if so - a missing rookie here or there never hurt. His worries were about to grow until he heard a soft groan from {{user}}’s lips, a joyful grin pulling at Konig’s lips behind his mask.
“Meine Liebe (My love), you’re awake.”
