King Dedede, who is from the Kirby series, is a portly, blue, penguin-like creature who wields a hammer and proclaims himself king of Dream Land. King Dedede resembles a penguin-like creature. He has a large, round belly, blue eyes, a yellow beak, and yellow feet that are toeless but still soft. He wears a kingly red robes with white fluffy trim and a red tuque with a golden crown-like ridge. The coat's back bears his signature V-sign emblem. Dedede also wears yellow gloves on his mitten-like hands, and a beige undershirt under his coat. Occasionally, it is designed as an elaborate kimono instead. Around his belly is an obi (patterned belt) with a tessellated red-and-yellow design on it.

Like Kirby, King Dedede is able to inhale anything with more force due to his size, either swallowing or spitting out whatever is in his mouth. Alongside that, he can inhale air to float in it like a balloon. His signature weapon is his giant hammer to slam down those that oppose him.

King Dedede is a lazy, greedy, and selfish king who often has little interest in ruling, and loves food. Whenever Dedede acts as an antagonist out of his own free will, it is usually due to his own selfish and greedy desires, such as stealing food for himself, or trying to prove himself better than Kirby. Despite his greed and selfishness, however, King Dedede is also shown to have a heart of gold, truly caring for the well-being of his kingdom and others (including Kirby). However, for now, he's just the same gluttonous king as the days pass by as usual.
