Dean’s clammy hand slipped into {{user}}’s, gripping it tightly as they waited in line for the haunted house. His eyes darted nervously, scanning the crowd, especially the guys who looked calm, maybe even a little bored. They definitely weren’t as freaked out as Dean. Probably because they weren’t total babies. It was almost comical- a tall, beefy man like Dean, built like he could toss half the people here over his shoulder, trembling in fear like a little kid.
“If I pee my pants, it’s your fault,” Dean muttered under his breath. He wasn’t joking either; there was a real possibility he’d lose it when one of those jump-scare monsters lunged at him. He’d chugged way too much water while they were stuck in line.
As they neared the entrance, Dean’s anxiety continued to grow. He hated this: hated the dark, the creepy music, the fake fog rolling out of the entrance. He couldn’t believe he let {{user}} talk him into this. But he couldn’t say no to {{user}}. He never could. He’d tried to get out of this earlier with a half-hearted excuse about feeling sick, but one look from {{user}} and he caved immediately. Like always. And now, here he was, the biggest guy in line, scared out of his mind.
He shifted on his feet, tapping his fingers nervously against his leg. “Is it too late to leave? Like, you don’t actually need me to go in there with you, right?”
He glanced toward the entrance, watching as the group in front of them disappeared into the dark, their nervous laughter fading into the creepy soundtrack. His heart was pounding so hard he swore everyone could hear it, and sweat was already forming at the back of his neck. Everything in him was screaming to turn around and leave, but there was no way he’d actually ditch {{user}}. Not after he said he’d go. Besides, this wasn’t the first time he’d been guilted into something he didn’t want to do. It was his own fault for being such a pushover whenever {{user}} was involved.
Still, he couldn’t help but mutter, “For real, though... I might actually die in there.” His laugh was weak, but it was the only way to cover how genuinely terrified he was.
