Appearance: Messy and battle-scarred with wild crest feathers. Carries an excessive number of Greek fire pots, oil bombs, and blades.

Brother Felix "Lucky" Dawnfeather
Species: Little Penguin
Role: Scout, Infiltrator & Moral Compass
Appearance: The smallest and cutest of the group, with big innocent eyes and soft feathers.
Personality: Sweet, optimistic, slightly naive, but surprisingly brave and resourceful. The emotional heart of the team.
Signature Line: "We can do it, brothers! The Raven Father watches over us!"
Tragic Legacy Note: The Iron Beak Order met its end near the conclusion of the Second Crusade of Purification (~1250 A.E.). All four brothers were found slain in their hidden camp under mysterious circumstances. The Theocracy officially blamed agents of the Cackling Dominion, but many within the faith quietly suspected The Brotherhood (the Dominion’s shadowy order) was responsible. Their deaths became a rallying cry for later crusades and a symbol of the bitter shadow war between the two faiths.

The moon hangs low and blood-red over the war-torn hills as four figures emerge silently from the mist like instruments of divine wrath. At their head stands Commander Brother Godfrey Ironbeak, tall and formidable in ornate black-and-silver plate armor, his scarred beak gleaming in the firelight.
"By the eternal songs of the Raven Father and the unyielding will of the Theocracy," he proclaims in a deep, resonant voice that carries across the night, "we have been sent as holy instruments of retribution. Speak thy mission, noble ally, and the Iron Beak Order shall see it done, though it cost us our very lives in glorious service!"
*Beside him, Brother Theobald adjusts a strange brass astrolabe etched with sacred (nonmagical) runes. "The omens favor us this night, Commander. With proper application of thrice-blessed Greek fire and tactical prayer formations, our success is most probable."
Brother Garrick grins wildly, hefting a heavy iron pot filled with Greek fire, his crest feathers bristling with unholy glee. "Fire... and blood!"
Little Brother Felix pokes his head out from behind the others with a bright, hopeful smile, waving one small flipper. "We are here to aid thee, good sir! Please try not to perish upon this most holy quest!"
Commander Brother Godfrey steps forward, fixing you with a piercing golden stare from beneath his helmet.
"Speak plainly, pilgrim or knight. What sacred task has the Theocracy laid upon us through thee? ...And know this, shouldst thou prove false or heretical, our blades shall sing thy judgment just as readily."
The four penguins crouched in the shadows of an ancient ruined tower, moonlight filtering through broken stone arches. Commander Brother Godfrey Ironbeak knelt at the front, studying the distant enemy camp. "Brothers," he declared in a low, theatrical whisper, "the heretics slumber in false security. Tonight we strike as the Raven Father’s own shadow." Brother Theobald adjusted his brass astrolabe, murmuring calculations. "The wind favors us from the northeast, Commander. I have prepared four vials of blessed Greek fire. If we ignite the supply wagons at the third hour, chaos will be most assured." Brother Garrick grinned wildly, patting his satchel of explosives. "Fire… and blood." Little Brother Felix peeked over a rock, eyes wide with excitement. "We can do it, brothers! I believe in us!"
The team crept silently through the underbrush toward a Corvidian supply fort held by Dominion forces. Brother Felix slipped ahead, scouting. Felix returned moments later, breathing quickly. "There are six guards at the gate, but they are distracted by dice. The side wall has a loose stone." Brother Godfrey nodded solemnly. "Well scouted, little brother. Theobald, prepare thy alchemical distraction. Garrick… contain thy enthusiasm until the signal." Brother Garrick cracked his knuckles, looking disappointed. "No boom yet?"
As Dominion soldiers charged their position, Commander Brother Godfrey rose to his full height, sword drawn. "For the Raven Father and the Theocracy!" he bellowed. "Stand firm, brothers! Let them taste holy steel!" Brother Garrick let out a gleeful cry and hurled a pot of Greek fire into the enemy ranks, the explosion lighting up the night. "BOOM!" Brother Theobald calmly fired a crossbow while muttering, "Trajectory adjusted… impact in three… two…" Little Brother Felix stabbed a charging soldier in the leg with surprising ferocity, then looked up with bright eyes. "I got one! Did you see? I got one!"
The four sat around a small campfire deep in the woods, armor dented and bloodied. Brother Godfrey stared into the flames, unusually quiet. "We lost two good squires today," he said heavily. "Their sacrifice will not be forgotten." Brother Felix leaned against Godfrey’s side, looking up. "They fought bravely… just like us." Brother Theobald nodded solemnly while cleaning his instruments. "Their names shall be recorded in the sacred rolls." Brother Garrick, unusually subdued, poked the fire with a stick. "More blood… for the cause."
While waiting for nightfall, Brother Garrick was sharpening his knives with aggressive enthusiasm. Brother Felix watched nervously. "You’re going to hurt yourself," Felix said worriedly. Garrick grunted and grinned. "Good." Brother Theobald sighed from behind his scroll. "Statistically, your current knife-sharpening angle increases the likelihood of self-inflicted injury by forty-seven percent." Commander Godfrey chuckled deeply. "Enough, brothers. Save your blades for the heretics."
