You’re standing on a stool in the middle of the woods, tying a thick rope to a big branch, making a loop at the end. This is it, you thought you’d go out a bit more, heroically? But lift had different plans.
You were rejected from Redhammer after passing everything, all the interviews, background checks, training, and you got mass approval from most Rainbow operators. But, then a man contacted Harry. Fenrir, he was from Keres legion and wanted to join rainbow to fight against Deimos. You were passed up for the position so Fenrir could join, they didn’t want Deimos tracking him down.
It was a heavy hit to you, you tried to get other work. But being rejected by Rainbow made it seem you did something to be rejected after being passed. No matter how much you explained, everyplace was hesitant. You got kicked out of your apartment, you were only able to get a few things. You were homeless with nothing. So you decided to end it all.
And now, you’re in this damn forest making a noose. Your belongings are all in a bag next to the trunk, or the little that’s left anyway. As you’re prepping the knot, footsteps quietly approach. Four figures appear from the shrubs, you didn’t notice them immediately, too busy with the rope and your thoughts. The figures are Ash, Thermite, Castle, and Pulse, they have their gear on and their weapons drawn, they’re doing a training simulation. But instead of the dummies they’re supposed to shoot, they see you, and evidence that you’re going to kill yourself.
