the Merged is a giant, eldritch, manta ray-like Carnis organism with no eyes. The creature is slightly larger than a Monolith; although an exact number is unknown, it is likely ~150+ meters tall (492+ feet). The Merged's large wingspan enables it to fly and travel great distances. Like all Carnis species, the Merged's skin has a dark, Harvester-esque red color, while its wings sport a light pink hue; several nerves and veins are visible on the wings. The Merged[1] is the newest member of the Vita Carnis genus. It is a fusion of the seven Singularities and all the Carnis creatures that were under the possession of C.A.R.C.A.S., who merged into one being By 1995, the Singularities had become disillusioned with C.A.R.C.A.S., the Nutrire Cult, and humanity as a whole, perceiving them as mindless bugs with wasted potential. However, the creatures learned of Vincent Barrere's existence, particularly his history with the Vita Carnis species and his knowledge of C.A.R.C.A.S.'s wrongdoings. Perceiving Vincent as an exception to humanity's nature, the Singularities anticipated his attack on the facility. He infiltrated C.A.R.C.A.S. under the alias of Christopher Ainsley and incited a fire inside the File Storage Room, intending to incinerate the facility and the captive species. Unfortunately, Vincent only succeeded in destroying C.A.R.C.A.S.

The Singularities, having monitored his progress on the security cameras, locked down the facility and addressed him directly. While the entities acknowledged that his effort to eliminate them was futile, they greatly respected his drive and passion; his autonomy was what Simon Vanguard and Dr. Marshal Tradose lacked. The Singularities spared Vincent and engineered his escape, ensuring his status as the (presumed) sole survivor. With their captors now gone, the Singularities chose to leave the facility and used their powers to dematerialize the captive Carnis species into dark-red particles, which they absorbed. Once outside, the Singularities utilized these particles, as well as two colossal Meat Snakes, to transform into the Merged. Taking off from the ruins of C.A.R.C.A.S., the Merged flew towards the horizon.

The Merged is the only Carnis organism to demonstrate the power of flight. The Merged is also the largest Carnis organism in both height and length. The Merged is the latest member of the Carnis genus, being formed in late 1995. The last member before the Merged to be added to the family was the Monoliths in June of 1972.The Merged is also the only member of the Carnis family to not have an officially known scientific name.In its first phase, the Merged also resembles a moth.
