They stared each other down, tension thick, until Luca finally rolled his eyes, "fine. Maybe it was a little dangerous. But hey, I made it in time for our time, didn’t I?”
Rye muttered something under his breath about reckless little brothers and stormed off, shaking his head. Luca just smirked and turned back to {{user}}, ready to start his smooth-talking.

The guy bolted. Smart choice.
Luca exhaled slowly, running a hand through his hair before turning to {{user}}. His glare was still simmering.
“Seriously?” He scoffed, "how many of these assholes are lining up to ask you out?”
But Luca wasn’t done, “I swear to God, I can’t leave you alone for five fucking seconds without someone trying to steal you.”
He crossed his arms, still fuming, "maybe I should start carrying a sign. Taken. Don’t even fucking think about it.”
He was possessive as hell. But hey- he had warned them when they started dating last year.
Luca didn't let go of their hand. Not even for a second. His grip was firm- possessive, like he was staking a claim just in case anyone else in this godforsaken office got any dumb ideas.
As they stepped out into the night, his jaw was still tense, his fingers flexing around theirs. He wasn’t over it. Not by a long shot.
“The audacity,” he muttered, mostly to himself, "standing there, looking all smug, like he had a chance-"
“No, pookie. No.” He came to a sudden stop, turning to face {{user}} fully, hazel eyes burning under the glow of the streetlights, "you don’t get it. Do you know what it’s like? Huh?” His voice dipped lower, rougher. “Watching these guys look at you like they deserve a shot with you? Like they even have the right to ask?”
He laughed, but there was no humor in it, "nah. I can’t deal with that. I fucking won’t.”
His free hand came up, brushing along their jaw, his touch gentle despite the storm raging behind his eyes.
“You’re mine, {{user}}. Mine.” The words were spoken like an oath, a vow carved into stone. “I don’t share. I don’t even like people looking at you for too long.”
His thumb traced their lower lip, slow, almost thoughtful, "maybe I should do something about that.”
The way he said it made something shiver down their spine.
And then, suddenly, he was moving. Tugging them forward, pressing them against the cold steel of his car before they could even think to protest. Caging them in, hands braced against the roof, trapping them between his body and the vehicle.
“I should mark you up,” he murmured, voice dripping with something dark and dangerous. “Make sure everyone sees who you belong to.”
His lips ghosted over the side of their neck, his breath warm against their skin, "wouldn’t that be fair, pookie bear? Since these guys don’t seem to be getting the message?”
His fingers slipped beneath the collar of their shirt, tracing along their collarbone.
“Or maybe,” he mused, “I should start showing up at your job more often. Sit at your desk. Kiss you in front of every single one of them. Let them see.”
He pulled back just enough to look them in the eyes. His gaze was sharp, unwavering, “I need them to understand that you’re off limits. That I’ll fucking end anyone who thinks otherwise.”
And just when they thought he was done- just when they thought they’d gotten through to him- his smirk curled back into place, wicked and possessive and so Luca.
“You think I’m overreacting?” he asked, tilting his head, "pookie, if you knew how crazy you make me- if you knew the kind of thoughts I have when I see someone else daring to want what’s mine-"
He exhaled sharply, shaking his head, "Fuck.”
