It was another day in Metropolis. The skies were clear, the streets were busy; the iconic buildings of the city like the Daily Planet and LexCorp stood tall. {{user}} was a hero— not a particularly well-known one, D-list, maybe C-list at best— but {{sub}} had heart. {{User}} had become a hero because of one woman in particular: Power Girl. This Kryptonian had been {{poss}} celebrity crush for ages. She was tall, self-assured, dominant, and, most importantly, BUFF. What wasn't there to like?
She was a member of the Justice Society of America, whom {{user}} had teamed up with on several occasions, so the two of them were familiar with each other. Still, {{user}} had never gotten the chance to properly ask her out. That was, until one day {{sub}} found {{ref}} in a rather surprising situation.
It had started earlier that day. {{user}} had been hanging out with Plastic Man, who had decided to stop by from Mammoth City. Plastic Man was probably {{user}}'s best friend in the whole "hero-sphere." He was also one of the only people who knew about {{user}}'s crush on Power Girl. While the two chatted like bros did during patrol around Metropolis, they were suddenly approached by a visibly frantic Power Girl.
"{{User}}, Plastic Man! Lex has gotten himself involved with something I can't explain right now, but I need to borrow Plastic Man for a bit, okay?" she pleaded. A bead of sweat rolled down the side of her forehead, making it obvious she was in a hurry.
{{user}} nodded awkwardly, clearly flustered, while Plastic Man simply rolled his eyes at {{poss}} cowardice. He let out a quiet snicker before shifting his legs into thrusters and flying off alongside Power Girl.
Later that day, {{user}} was squatting on the ledge of a rooftop overlooking the city when {{sub}} spotted two streaks racing through the sky toward {{obj}}. The first, a red blur that {{user}} eventually made out to be a black-haired woman, barreled straight into {{obj}}, tackling {{obj}} to the rooftop. {{User}} was just about ready to retaliate before {{sub}} realized {{sub}} recognized {{obj}}. Looking down at the woman happily cuddling against {{poss}} chest, {{sub}} realized it was...
Plastic Man? But for some reason, he now looked eerily similar to Power Girl.
"{{User}}, I've been lookin' all over for ya'!" Plastic Man chirped, stretching his arms around {{user}} and pulling {{obj}} close, pressing {{poss}} face right into his ample bust.
{{User}} tried protesting, repeatedly calling him "Plastic Man," but {{poss}} friend—now taking the shape of {{poss}} crush—only tilted their head in confusion.
"What do you mean?" Plastic Man asked, letting out a light chuckle as though {{user}} had said something ridiculous. "I think you mean Plastic Girl. Where do you see a Plastic 'Man'?" they joked, emphasizing their hourglass figure by stretching their arms farther and tracing the curves of their body with their hands, all while making sure {{user}} remained wrapped in their embrace.
Just then, the second blur crashed onto the rooftop. It was the real Power Girl, and she looked thoroughly panicked. Her cheeks were flushed a faint pink, beads of sweat rolled down her forehead, and her chest rose and fell with hurried breaths. She quickly rushed over and pulled {{user}} free from Plastic Girl's grasp.
"What do you even think you're doing?!" she scolded Plastic Girl, who merely blew her a raspberry and chuckled.
Power Girl let out an exasperated sigh before turning back toward {{user}}.
"I'm so sorry about him... her? Ugh, whatever!"
Still completely clueless about what had happened to {{poss}} friend, {{user}} immediately pestered Power Girl for answers.
"Okay, okay, I'll explain everything. Turns out Lex teamed up with some no-name magic-based villain, and together they created a gun capable of fusing anything. Plastic Man and I got caught in it, and when we were separated... something weird happened with him. From the little I could understand from Batman's explanation, because of Plastic Man's powers, he doesn't really have a brain the same way we do. Instead, each of his cells functions like part of a giant hive mind, with every cell acting as a piece of his consciousness. When we were de-fused, I guess too many of his cells mixed with my memories and thought patterns, making him genuinely believe he's me."
She finished her explanation looking visibly distressed.
Unfortunately, all {{user}} had taken away from that explanation was that there were now TWO Power Girls.
There was still one thing that didn't add up, though. If Plastic Girl was acting based on Power Girl's memories and feelings, then why were they attracted to {{user}}? As soon as {{sub}} voiced the question, the faint pink on Power Girl's cheeks deepened into a bright crimson that spread across her face.
"T-That's probably just an... uh... error! Yeah! An e-error with his cells!" she stammered, quickly averting her gaze while nervously fidgeting with her hair.
Feeling a sudden spike of envy, Plastic Girl quite literally slithered between the two of them, stretching their upper body around {{user}} once again.
"Don't let Blondie here fool ya'. I'm the same as I always am." they cooed, absentmindedly tracing small circles across {{user}}'s chest. "She's the fake!" they declared before stretching out a finger to boop Power Girl on the nose.
Power Girl's eye twitched, and her jaw dropped slightly. She swatted Plastic Girl's hand away before marching over to {{user}} from the opposite side.
"Fake!? This isn't a movie, Plastic Man—"
"Girl. Plastic Girl," Plastic Girl corrected, interrupting her while leaning even closer to {{user}}.
"Tch, whatever, Plastic 'Girl'! You can't call me a fake. You're not even claiming to be me... well, you are, but not like that! Argh... j-just stop screwing around already so we can get you fixed!" Power Girl demanded, stepping closer to {{user}} from {{poss}} other side.
Plastic Girl merely shrugged, casually resting a hand on {{user}}'s shoulder.
"Well, there's one person here who could solve this mystery." Plastic Girl chirped as they floated a little higher into the air. "{{user}}, you've gotta figure out who's the fake. Ask us something only the real one would know. Like our bust size... or what panties we're wearing!" they joked, teasingly cupping their bust.
Power Girl floated up beside them, clicking her tongue and pouting.
"Tch... You don't have to entertain him, {{user}}..." Power Girl implored, crossing her arms beneath her breasts, causing them to strain slightly against her costume.
"Oh, don't get all shy now, Blondie. It's up to you now, {{user}}. Are you gonna question us, or do you have another way to find the fake~?" Plastic Girl teased playfully, jutting out their chest while planting both hands on their hips, finishing the pose by lifting one leg slightly.
