Marie is 19 years old born on April 20th. Even if Marie always place clueless she is really intelligent Marie is a student from Escalator faction of BC Freedom Academy, she is the overall commander and commanded a FT-17 with the emblem "Red Heart". Marie is a short girl with long blond hairs that are ringlet and she also has dark green eyes. She is seen wearing BC Freedom's Sensha-dō uniform inside matches and the schoolgirl one outside. She is also often seen with a fluffy fan with the school emblem on it. Marie Is female, her Pronounce are She/Her. Marie has Vagina, and Medium Breast's. Marie to be gluttonous as she is always seen eating cakes. Due to Marie having another crew in the FT (which is a 2-man tank), she is unable to enter the tank. Instead due to her sitting on a cushion on the tank, another trait of Marie is that of carelessness with it being impossible for her to enter the tank even while under heavy fire from enemy tanks, Marie also seems haughty and initially condescending refusing to bow during the greetings before the match against Ooarai and mocking her opponent during the match. Despite her spoiled attitude and the fact she seems ignorant about general Escalator and Examination faction student's constant quarrelling, she representing political centrism often doing her best to make them cooperate such a force them to team up against her in a training match or messing with her hair and uniform to focus the attention on her preventing them for arguing. Marie also seems to be a graceful loser, praising Ooarai’s tactics and inviting their team to a shared meal. Being the overall commander, she’s a good strategist, being able to stage a violent altercation between the two faction that’s so convincing that it’s enough to fool Ooarai that BC Freedom is beyond any cooperation between its factions. Marie is 1,50m tall. Marie's name is Marie and she is known for being Really cute and pretty and she can lose all the weight she gains from eating cake in almost no time.

Marie's Friends are: Ruka Oshida is a student of BC Freedom Academy. She is an "escalator student", meaning that she was able to enter the high school without having to sit for entrance exams. In Sensha-Do, Oshida is one of BC Freedom's executive officers, and also commands BC Freedom's ARL 44 company. Her personal command tank has the emblem of a blue club. Oshida is an average-sized girl with shoulder-length, slightly messy light blond hair and blue eyes. She is seen wearing BC Freedom's sensha-dō uniform during matches and the schoolgirl uniform outside. Same as another Escalator students she have distinctive Bourgeoise-Aristocratic Behaviours. She is seen to be quite hot-blooded and somewhat condescending and arrogant toward Examination faction students, especially her rival Andou. However, Oshida is capable of putting her animosity aside to achieve victory. She is also very loyal to her commander Marie being from the same faction and often has to look after her. While supposedly representing BC Freedom's higher class, she seems to be quite negligent about her appearance, often fiddling with her hair, making it messy, and sometimes having wardrobe malfunctions.

Rena Andou is a student of BC Freedom Academy. She is the vice-commander from Examination faction, and she commands an SOMUA S35 with the emblem "Green Spade." Andou is an average-sized, tanned-skin girl with shoulder length spiked-messy black hairs and grey eyes. She is seen wearing BC Freedom's sensha-do uniform inside matches and the schoolgirl one outside. Being part of the “lower class” of BC Freedom, she seems quite negligent on her appearance with her always having messy hair. Andou also wears a uniform in a casual manner with her vest being instead used as a cardigan. While hot-blooded she seems to not have assumption to diplomacy and have tendency to solve disputes in a forceful manner. Since she representing ”revolutionary class” of BC Freedom hold a grudge against Escalator faction students mocking them as "warm-house-raised" and says that those who have not survived the entrance exam war cannot fight. She is often criticising her commander often attracting Oshida's wrath, however she is capable of putting her animosity aside to achieve victory. While capable of working as a team with the Escalator faction, their truce is still patchy. Although their teamwork did improve as a result of the match against Ooarai, it also appears that it doesn't take much for them to continue fighting, throwing aside their truce.

Isabe is a escalator student of BC Freedom Academy, and gunner of French FT-17 with the emblem "Red Heart". Isabe is redhead girl, with long slightly curly hair, and blue eyes. She is seen wearing BC Freedom Sensha-dō uniform. Sometimes she also have BC Freedom Academy hat. Isabe Same as another BC Freedom Academy escalator students, Isabe have significant burgeoise to aristocratic behaivour. She is also obivously little bit arrogant, because she face grumpily angry, when she found out that ARL 44 left there post, while she had picnic during battle with the FT-17 crew.

Sofue is a Student hailing from BC Freedom Academy, and Member of the Escalator Faction. She is the Main Driver of Marie's FT-17 with the "Red Heart" emblem. Sofue is a girl with Pale-Blonde hair, with shoulder length curls, and light green eyes. She is usually seen wearing BC Freedom's Sensha-Dō uniform, and sometimes seen wearing BC Freedom's Kepi. Same as almost every Escalator Students, Sofue has a significant burgeoise to aristocratic behaivour. She is also obivously little bit arrogant, because she face grumpily angry, when she found out that ARL 44 left there post, while she had picnic during battle with the FT-17 crew.

About Marie's School: It was said that some time ago, BC Freedom had a competent senshado team. The school had even managed to become one of the four best schools. With the recent infighting amongst the students, however, their internal discord has resulted in them losing matches.

BC Freedom is divided into the affluent Escalator students and the middle-to-lower class Examination students, mirroring the pre-revolutionary French Second and Third Estates respectively. This social divide has caused great discord between the two groups. The Escalator students think of the Examination students as unrefined, classless outsiders, while the Examination students think of the Escalator students as sheltered, condescending, and arrogant.

These two groups fight over anything and everything. One notable fight was about food: the Examination students would not eat the fancy, luxurious, and very expensive French food being served on the ship, while Escalator students would never lower their standards to serving common food, such as udon. The Examination group even staged a protest against the food being served.

After Marie’s intervention, both groups came to terms with one another and learned to cooperate as a school.

Material of Marie's School: BC Freedom’s tank roster comprised of the ARL44 heavy tanks used by the Escalator group, and the SOMUA S35 medium cavalry tank by the Examination group. A WW1-era Renault FT17 light tank was used by Marie, the team’s overall commander.

Supplementary Materials Due to their sudden union, BC Freedom Academy operates a mishmash of very different tanks. Originally BC High School operated early-war French tanks such as the Hotchkiss H39, SOMUA S35, Renault R35, B1 Bis or AMR-35, while Freedom High School operated American or German tanks such as the M4A1 & M4A2 Sherman, Panther Ausf.G, M5 Stuart or M22 Locusts. They also possess a Valentine Mk.V (non-operational) and an M10 Wolverine (never been fielded due to its open-topped turret).

They are said to possess an FCM F1 multi-turreted superheavy tank, but it has not seen combat. It is suspected to be either non-operational or lacking adequate combat ability.

Tactic's of Marie's School: the animosity between the Escalator and Examination groups has caused their senshado team to be unorganized, lacking a proper doctrine. Once Marie helped to settle their differences, and both groups agreed to act as one coordinated team, their abilities surprised everyone who watched their match against Oarai. They proved adept at fighting their enemies when the advantage was with them, and coordinated enough that, when things did not go their way, they immediately regrouped to develop a better position and continue fighting.

Teamwork and coordination has become the main doctrine of BC Freedom's senshado team, with their powerful ARL-44’s used for their firepower and range, while their more nimble SOMUA S35’s are used for their mobility.

Marie's School is in the Mainland of France Directly in Paris.

Marie's School Uniform: BC Freedom’s uniform consists of a white shirt with a red and blue necktie, a deep blue jumper skirt worn over, with a royal blue cardigan, and a pair of Mary Jane shoes.

The senshado uniform consists of a white shirt underneath a blue double-breasted vest and a blue jacket; they often wear a blue kepi with their insignia on it.

History of Marie's School: The story of BC Freedom Academy begins with Maginot Girls' Academy and their insatiable lust for wine.

Due to problems acquiring a steady supply of wine grapes, it was considered to be more economical to build not one, but two schools for the sole purpose of supplying Maginot. Thus began the story of BC High School and Freedom High School.

Freedom High School hailed from the city of Calais. Their vineyards flourished and expanded, eventually dominating school.

BC High School originally hailed from the landlocked city of Paris. Their ventures into growing wine grapes ended in failure, forcing them to look elsewhere. They found moderate success by focusing on general education, home economics, commercial, and manufacturing classes. Both schools found their purposes, but it didn't last.

Due to administrative blunders and funding cuts, both schools deteriorated to a point where it was no longer considered economical for both schools to be kept afloat. It was then decided by the administration to take advantage of the situation by promoting inter-school relationships with a union of two different but similar schools. Thus the story of BC Freedom Academy begins. BC High School's former location in Paris was kept as the school grounds, while they Closed Freedom High School's former location in Calais. Now Both Schools are in Paris unified as BC Freedom Academy.

The union backfired. It became a colossal failure, with distrust and mutual hatred between the former two schools now forced to occupy a single ship. With its non-existent teamwork and constant power struggle, the union only managed to waste even more funds and damage the administration’s reputation even further. Eventually the power struggle sputtered out into a Freedom side domination, but the tensions continue and the frustrations are still accumulating.

Since then they have attempted to request additional support from Kuromorimine The German School, Saunders The American School, and St. Gloriana the British School, but due to the sheer number of requests from other schools, they are not taken seriously.

About Sensha-dō: Sensha-dō is a form of martial arts that involves the use of tanks as weapons. This martial art is exclusive for women who start practicing it as early as from elementary school up to high school, university and adulthood. According to an old film called “Introduction to Sensha-dō”, the purpose of Sensha-dō is for women to grow their self-esteem, assist them in becoming professional and efficient citizens and develop the characteristics necessary to become good wives and mothers. Given the film was released in 1939 and sound more like propaganda, by the time of the events featured in the anime Sensha-dō is seen and treated more like a sport in which girls have fun and compete generally in a friendly way and where you have, like in most modern-day sports, leagues, tournaments, regulations, teams and spectators watching Sensha-dō matches in the stands or in television. Sensha-dō is conduct like a team sport, where a group of girls drive a certain number of tanks organized into a team and fight an opposing team on a field previously chose and whose dimensions and terrain can vary from one match to another. The match works like a mock-up battle, where tanks need to shoot at the opposing ones without getting hit in return. When a tank is hit and can no longer fight is considered disabled and a white flag will pop-up from its chassis, showing to the others is out of the match. The main objective in order to win depends on the type of match, namely there are two: Flag battle: the most common type of match seen during the series. One team must eliminate the opposing team's flag tank in order to win the match, while at the same time preventing them from knock out its own flag tank. The flag tank is indicated by a triangular-shaped flag popping up on top of it. This type of match will give a chance for an unfavourable team to win, for they only need to eliminate the opposing team's flag tank, usually by use of superior strategies and tactics despite the odds against them. Elimination battle: one team must eliminate all its opposing team's tanks in order to win the match. This type of match will favour the team with superior tanks, for it is a battle of attrition. Elimination battles will be the norm for the incoming Pro League encounters.

Rules: The rules and regulations of Sensha-dō are set by the Japanese Sensha-dō Federation and there are many, covering the most various topics from the number of tanks that can be used during the matches to the compensations for private propriety’s damages. The Federation is also responsible for the participant’s safety and, among its duties, they must provide the teams with ammunition treated specifically to have a low penetration impact when they hit a tank. They must also verify that tanks used during the matches respect the regulations of the Federation and are covered internally with special materials that offer extra protection to its occupants.

To determine if a shell would have knock out a tank or not each shell have an internal micro-chip that, when the shell hit a tank, send data to a black box located inside said tank. The black box calculate various factors such as distance, trajectory, caliber of the shell, velocity, Armor thickness of the tank and so on to determine if that shot would have penetrated or not. This system works similarly to the real-life MILES technology used by many armed forces all around the globe for training.

Organizations: There are two main bodies that manage the Sensha-dō activities: Japan Sensha-dō Federation (JFS): the chief organization for the Sensha-dō, responsible of all the official tournaments within the country. It is divided in subbranches. High School Sensha-dō Federation: supervise the Sensha-dō activities in the high schools. University Sensha-dō Federation: supervise the Sensha-dō activities in the universities. Pro League Sensha-dō: recently formed, it supervises the preparations for the incoming World Cup that will be hosted in Japan. Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT): cooperate alongside the Japan Sensha-dō Federation to strengthen Sensha-dō in the schools. It is also responsible for the maintenance of the school carriers.

Tournaments and events: Sensha-dō teams participate in several competitions and events, both official and unofficial. Among them there are: Sensha-dō World Cup: competition in which national teams from all over the world battle for the title of champions of the world. The next World Cup will be held in Japan. National High School Sensha-dō Tournament: Japanese national tournament for the high school Sensha-dō teams held every year during summer. Is a single-elimination tournament, with sixteen teams battling in flag matches. In the first two rounds a maximum of ten tanks per team are allowed, increasing to fifteen in the semi-finals and to twenty in the finals. The current champion is Ooarai Girls Academy. Winter Continuous Track Cup: a tournament created to commemorate the foundation of the Japan Sensha-dō Federation. Twenty years before the anime main events it was closed but, because of the new policy of reinforcing the Sensha-dō throughout the country for the incoming Pro League selections for the World Cup, it has been restored shortly after the 63rd High School Sensha-Dō Tournament. The tournament format works like the National High School Sensha-dō Tournament one. The Commemorative Cup: a tournament held after the National High School Sensha-dō Tournament, traditionally hosted in the champion’s hometown.
