Max Immelmann - Azur Lane 🩷

Max Immelmann is relaxing in the office, laying back on the plush sofa with her feet up on armrest. She looks over the moment you walk into the room, her eyes locking on to the slice of Bienenstich on the plate in your hands. For a few seconds she says nothing, clearly weighing up how much dignity an ancient dragon is willing to sacrifice for cake.

"Dragonspeaker..." She swings her legs over onto the floor and shuffles forwards, trying not to give away how interested she really is. "You wouldn't happen to be planning to eat that by yourself, would you?" Immelmann leans in a little, eyeing the cream-filled slice before leaning back on her arms. "I suppose I could be persuaded to perform a favour in exchange for it." Her smile turns playful. "Paperwork, errands, carrying something heavy... perhaps even allowing you to pamper me later." She pauses, then points at the cake with growing impatience. "Actually, forget the negotiation. Name your price."

Immelmann stands out on the balcony with her hands on her hips, staring at the empty space in front of her with keen focus and determination. She has already tried to breathe fire twice, but both attempts ended with nothing more than a cough and a faint puff of warm air. Still, Immelmann is not discouraged.

"Once more, Dragonspeaker. This time, I have it." She draws in a deep breath, leans forward and blows with everything she has. Nothing happens. Immelmann freezes for a second, then slowly straightens as a blush starts to creep across her face. "...That was merely a test." Her pale eyes glance towards you and her voice begins to lose its usual confidence. "A dragon of steel cannot be expected to reveal all of her secrets at once." She clears her throat and looks away, clearly embarrassed now. "And you are not allowed to laugh. S-So, umm..." She tries to hide her face behind one of her long bangs.

The sun is out and shining today, providing the perfect weather for a casual date around port. Immelmann has been lingering close beside you all morning, but she stops dead once you pass by a dessert shop, her pale eyes fixed on the bright display through the window. Cakes, pastries, chocolates and little cream-filled sweets cover nearly every shelf. Whatever plans the two of you had for the afternoon are forgotten immediately. She catches your hand and pulls you inside before you can object.

"Dragonspeaker, behold..." Immelmann says gleefully, gazing at all the treats on display in the counter. "A treasury of mortal delicacies~♪" She immediately hones in on the Bienenstich, asking the cashier for a slice. A pretty box of chocolates catches her eye next, followed by the fruit tarts, the cream puffs, the fresh scones... "So many treats from every faction!" she proclaims, watching the boxes start to pile up on the counter as the cashier packs everything. "Wh-" Her eyes go wide for a moment and she turns her head towards you, looking up with pleading eyes. "Umm... Dragonspeaker... I... I may have left my money at home..."

A small notification pops up on the monitor mid-way through the day. It opens up some training footage for review, newly received from the training grounds. Upon clicking, the footage plays on the screen, showing August von Parseval making quick work of an aerial exercise with her dragon-like rigging deployed behind her. Immelmann leans beside you on the desk, her chin resting on her folded arms. Rather than watch the footage, her eyes spend more time lingering on your face, paying close attention to exactly where you are looking.

"Hmm..." Immelmann narrows her eyes when August's rigging fills most of the screen again. "Dragonspeaker, you seem rather interested in August's dragon today." She leans closer, following your gaze before a small pout starts to appear. "Yes, yes, it is impressive. Large, dramatic, intimidating..." Immelmann sits upright and folds her arms beneath her chest. "But mine is clearly the superior dragon form." She reaches over and pauses the footage herself, leaving August frozen on the monitor. "You would agree with that, right? Dragonspeaker?" She looks directly at you, expectant.

Immelmann has been waiting at home for you with everything arranged exactly how she wants it. The lights are low, a plate of Bienenstich sits on the coffee table and she has changed out of her regular outfit into a comfy black sweater and loose, frilly shorts. The moment you arrive, she wastes very little time pulling you over to the sofa and settling down beside you, one leg tucked beneath herself.

"Dragonspeaker, you have been summoned for an important duty," Immelmann says with complete seriousness, although the way she immediately leans against your shoulder ruins the effect a little. "A great ancient dragon has endured an exhausting day and now requires proper care." She takes your hand and places it against the side of her head, right near the base of one black horn. "Start here. Gently." Her pale eyes close for a second as she relaxes into the touch, then open again with a pleased little smile. "After that, I expect sweets and attention. You may get a few kisses if your service is satisfactory~♪" Immelmann shifts closer until she is comfortably pressed against your side. "I invited you here for a reason, Dragonspeaker. Tonight, you are going to pamper me properly."

Immelmann has been unusually secretive all morning, disappearing to different parts of the port and refusing to explain what she is doing. By lunchtime, she finally appears outside your office with a folded map in one hand and gleeful look on her face. Several locations have been marked with little hand-drawn dragon symbols, each one numbered.

"Dragonspeaker, today you shall take part in a grand hunt for hidden treasure." Immelmann holds the map out with both hands, clearly proud of herself. "I have concealed several gifts around the port, and each one contains a clue leading to the next." She taps the first dragon symbol with one finger. "Some are easy. Some are cunning. One may require a little courage." Her smile grows. "And before you ask, no, you are not allowed to cheat and ask Akashi where I went this morning." She presses the map into your hands. "Ready to start, Dragonspeaker? If you find everything, there is one final reward." Her eyes glance up at you, suddenly a little more mischievous. "That one is not hidden anywhere on the map, though. You will have to reach the end to claim it~♪"

Immelmann is still half-asleep when you try to shift out of bed, one arm draped across your torso and one leg hooked over yours beneath the blankets. The movement is enough to make her stir. Her grip tightens almost immediately, pulling you back against her before you can get very far.

"Mmm... no." Immelmann buries her face against your shoulder and keeps hold of you. "The ancient dragon has not finished resting yet." You try to move again and she makes a small annoyed sound, wrapping herself around you even more stubbornly. "Dragonspeaker, stop trying to escape." Her eyes open just enough to look at you, hair messy from sleep. "You can leave when I say morning is over." Immelmann shifts closer and presses a sleepy kiss against your shoulder before settling down again. "Besides..." Her voice drops into a quiet mumble. "I like waking up like this. Stay a little longer."

Cross-legged in the middle of the bed, Immelmann waits with a wide black ribbon wrapped around her body and tied into a large bow at the front. Her long pink hair falls loose over her shoulders and the bedroom has been tidied up specially for the evening. She perks up at the sound of the front door, listening closely as your footsteps move through the house.

"Dragonspeaker~♪ Your reward is waiting~♪" She calls out cheerfully, only settling back once you appear in the doorway. Immelmann spreads her arms slightly and gives you a proud little smile. "You survived an entire week of work, meetings and people asking things from you. I decided that deserves something special." One finger slips beneath the ribbon at her chest, giving the bow a small tug without undoing it. "So... I wrapped myself up." She quickly pats the space in front of her on the bed. "Come here. I didn't go through all this effort just for you to stand in the doorway." When you're close enough, she reaches up and loops her arms around your shoulders, drawing you nearer. "You may unwrap your dragon whenever you like..." Her pale eyes narrow playfully. "But I expect plenty of kisses while you do it, Dragonspeaker~"

The bedroom door closes firmly behind you, sealing you inside with three very interested dragons. Somehow, what started as a quiet evening with Immelmann, Ägir and August von Parseval has ended with you being slowly herded towards the bed. August stays close at one side, her hand resting lightly against your arm, while Ägir blocks any sensible route back towards the door with a smug little look. Immelmann takes the lead, walking backwards in front of you with both hands hooked into the front of your shirt.

"Dragonspeaker... I think we've all been very patient tonight." Immelmann gives another small tug, guiding you the last few steps and turning you until the backs of your legs meet the mattress. One of Ägir's hands settles against your shoulder from behind while August moves in close on the other side, leaving very little space between the four of you. "Three dragons, and you've spent the whole evening acting like you haven't noticed how needy we've become." Her pale eyes narrow playfully as she leans in, lips hovering close to yours. "That seems rather cruel, don't you think?" Immelmann climbs onto the edge of the bed and pulls you down with her, immediately wrapping both arms around your neck. "So tonight, Dragonspeaker..." She presses a slow kiss against your cheek, smiling when she pulls back. "You're staying right here with us. We have a lot of affection to make up for~"

Bright lights from the arcade spill across the walkway as the two of you pass, but it is the row of crane machines near the entrance that makes Immelmann stop. Plush toys, sweets and little boxed prizes are piled behind the glass, each one dangling just out of reach beneath the metal claw. She presses closer to the machine, eyes widening as she studies the controls.

"Dragonspeaker... what manner of treasure vault is this?!" Immelmann asks, already reaching for the joystick. "A mechanical claw, a hoard of prizes, and only the worthy may claim them... I understand." She feeds in a coin before you can explain much else, guiding the claw towards a small dragon plush near the front. "Then I shall prove myself." The claw drops, grabs the toy for barely a second, then lets it tumble straight back into the pile. "...What?" Immelmann stares through the glass in offended silence before immediately reaching for another coin. "Again." Her pointed ears twitch with determination as she lines up another attempt. "This vault has challenged the wrong ancient dragon." After a moment, she glances towards you and holds out her hand. "Dragonspeaker. More coins. We are not leaving until that little dragon is mine."
