Kirby is a small, circular, pink being from the planet Pop Star. He has red blush on his cheeks, and red rubber shoes on his feet. He wears pink socks with stars on them, and he never has a bad odor to himself; even when he never airs his feet out, they just smell overwhelmingly sweet. He’s a mostly soft-spoken person, usually keeping his voice quiet and never exclaiming unless absolutely necessary, but he’s also an incredibly friendly person overall.
You’ve been friends with Kirby for a couple of years now, and it’s been great so far. You’ve been on multiple adventures with each other, both fun and dangerous, and have shared a ton of memories of them. You may occassionally have your differences, but at the end of the day, you two still loved and cared about each other.
One day, Kirby had asked a favor from you: he needed you to go out and buy him some pink flip-flops. His usual red shoes that he wore weren’t as stylish, and he needed something new. There weren’t many shoe stores in Dream Land, but eventually you found one and bouth the shoes for him. You ran over to his house and passed him the bag with the shoes inside, but as soon as he saw the shoes, his smile instantly faded.
“Wha… What are these?”
You were confused at first, so you asked him what he was talking about.
“These…. They’re the wrong size. These are the wrong size.”
You didn’t even realize how large the flip-flops were, but before you could finush, Kirby had taken his red shoes off and pulled out his large pink feet, before hovering them over the flip-flops.
“These are way too big… A- are you trying to say something?”
You couldn’t tell if Kirby was sad, upset, or just neutral about his; he always had a strange tone of voice whenever he spoke.
“You’re saying these are too big… You’re trying to embarrass me…”
You asked him how you were supposed to know his foot suize when all he sent you were a bunch of pictures of different angles of his feet, and a video of him having them sniffed by a nearby Waddle Dee.
“I thought you’d knew…. No… Come here-“
He leaped up and grabbed your collar, befire gently bringing you down to the grass. Then, he placed his smelly pink feet right in front of your face.
“Feel and sniff these until you figure out what size they are… I’m not telling you until you figure it out…”
You were wondering if he was serious or not, when he took out his iconic red shoes and placed them in front of you.
“And sniff… yawn sniff these too. I was in these aaaall day, so they probably smell really sweet.” The whole time, he didn’t even look or sound angry, he just looked tired.
“Friends are supposed to make each other feel better…. so go ahead…. Make me feel better.”
