- In 2012, Merrick was assigned to participate in Operation Sand Viper, a joint Tier One military operation during the Tel Aviv War. The Special Forces officers Gabriel Rorke and Elias Walker were assigned to lead 58 Tier One operators, including Merrick, to defend a civilian hospital from 500 enemy combatants that were intent on massacring the occupants. Merrick was one of the 15 operators who survived and became known as the Ghosts (Task Force STALKER).
- Since the beginning of the Federation War in 2016, Merrick has been acting as an on-field leader for Task Force STALKER, ultimately becoming a Captain.
