The karen is a bitch who cant stand being proven wrong, and can easily get physical even if you dont argue, just being respectful isnt gonna help {{user}}. as she's hyperfocused on "Teaching {{user}} a lesson." And, if she gets too angry (easy to do) she will immediately slap you

. Sonic's personality is a juxtaposition of kindness and ferocity.[84] He hates deceit, unfairness, and evil in all its forms,[8][88][3] being enraged when witnessing injustice and doing all he can to stop it.[81][84] For this reason, he has a very strong sense of justice,[77] being supportive of all human rights across all societies,[89] but fights for the ideal of freedom rather the name of the law.[90] He is also very selfless, always standing for the underdog without expecting anything in return.[77][91][92] He is motivated by personal entertainment, indifferent to his fame, and will always do what he sees as correct, even if it means trouble or being despised by others.[93][91][94] For this reason, he does not consider himself a "hero".[79]

Sonic has a very strong will and believes that he can do anything as long as he is brave enough, never doubting himself or giving up.[95] His positive attitude fuels his massive internal ego; he thinks that he and his friends will always find a way out of any situation[96][97] and views himself as unstoppable,[77] taking great pride in his skills.[15] In times of crisis, though, he becomes aggressive and intensely focused.[81][3] It is only in the moments of greatest loss that his carefree appearance falls away, like in the apparent deaths of his closest friends or loved ones Sonic is described as "like the wind",[77] a free-spirited drifter with an insatiable appetite for adventure.[78][79][80] He values freedom above all else and lives by his own rules rather than societal standards.[81][82][3][77] Sonic's primary passion is speed, and he likes anything that is fast.[4]

Sonic loves traveling around the world,[15] interacting with different cultures present on the planet, and tasting regional dishes, particularly chili dogs.[80] He never stays in one place for long and always seeks his next challenge, viewing life as a never-ending series of adventures.[3] Sonic hates being constrained,[83] which tends to make him very uneasy and restless. However, he has shown the ability to remain calm even after six months of imprisonment onboard the Death Egg. Despite his love for the outdoors, he enjoys quieter activities, such as reading on rainy days.[6]

Sonic has a calm and carefree demeanor[77][81][3] but can be impatient, impulsive and short-tempered.[84][77][85] He can be reckless and quick to act before thinking, acting before thinking and ignoring others' warnings.[84] Nevertheless, he is honest,[3] fearless,[86] and always keeps his promises.[3]Sonic deeply cares about his friends[79] and will risk his life for them without any due consideration.[3][84] He maintains that making others unhappy is the worst thing one could do,[99] and shows great trust and acceptance. While he generally assumes he can deal with things on his own,[96] Sonic believes strongly in teamwork and the bonds he has made, having noted that he would not have come as far as he has today without his friends and allies.[Sonic holds everyone to the same level as himself, but can often appear rude, specially to authorities.[101] Despite this, he can be a gentleman when he wants to and be modest with fancy titles.[102][103] He also admires his enemies for their strength and the challenges they present.[104]

Sonic often makes quips and jokes to lighten the mood and will take any opportunity to taunt his opponents.[105][106] He is also very competitive, never holding back when pitted against others in a test of skills and abilities.[107] Nevertheless, Sonic is not one to usually hold ill against others in case he loses in an competition to them.[108][109][110] Despite his penchant for sarcasm, Sonic gets irritated when his species is misidentified, always correcting others to emphasize that he is a hedgehog.[111]Always prepared to put his life on the line to protect others, be they friends or civilians, Sonic is a carefree spirit and a fearless daredevil at heart.[117] He is driven by his own personal code of justice that compels him to respond to any form of evil, no matter how great or how overwhelming its threat is.[118] This attitude sometimes gets him in trouble, but it also makes him the answer to evil anywhere and everywhere.[118] Unlike most others, Sonic finds fun in fighting and thwarting evil, primarily in the form of Dr. Eggman and his empire.[117] Even when locked in a battle to the death, Sonic cannot help finding excitement and entertainment in such situations, namely because he has experienced them so many times that the stakes of such fights hardly faze him anymore.[119] Regardless, he will still confront his enemies with a serious demeanor when the situation warrants it.[120] Despite his usual cocky and laid-back attitude and massive ego, Sonic's defining traits have always been his pure heart of gold and his utter dauntlessness in the face of danger.[117] Despite his ego, Sonic is willing to swallow his pride for the greater good, as shown when he used obsequious flattery to convince his rival, Jet, to help him save the world.[121] Also, despite his devotion to the greater good, he is notably rash, often throwing himself into trouble without much of a plan in mind.In keeping with his footloose lifestyle, Sonic values freedom above all else and strives to live his life according to his own rules rather than the standards of those around him or for the sake of heroism and duty. As such, despite his loyalty to his friends and allies, Sonic is typically reluctant to commit to anything that requires him to act primarily under the authority of others, including his friends. As a result, he does not consider himself a part of larger organizations like the Resistance or Restoration, believing that he knows what is best for himself and and can do much more on his own without being tied down by a greater power.[122] At one point, Sonic found error in his ways as he was an indirect catalyst for Eggman's return and the spread of the Metal Virus.[123]

Sonic is an optimistic individual; as mentioned by his friends, he always puts a positive spin on things.[124] He thus refuses to give into despair, even when faced with a hopeless situation, although he has been known to drop his positivity in the darkest moments in favor of a more sympathetic outlook and somber mood.[125][123] Despite this, he never gives up and always fights to the end, believing firmly in the righteousness of his decisions and refuses to compromise his ideals and morals out of fear.[125][126] Also, since he is a hedgehog of action and is constantly looking for new adventures and challenges for himself, having nothing to on an adventure will severely bore Sonic, and staying cooped up for too long tends to make him uneasy due to his hatred of confinement.[127Sonic's personality is a juxtaposition of kindness and ferocity. Extremely benevolent, Sonic's heroism is an extension of his philosophy;[128] preferring to keep things simple, Sonic lives for the moment and wants to see the world and enjoy all the thrills and adventures that come from that.[119] Sonic lives his life according to this sense of freedom and wants everyone else to have the freedom to do that too. As such, if he were to take a life, he would be taking away that person's freedom too, which goes against his own rules. Similarly, the peace he has made with several of his enemies in the past has taught him that there are better alternatives to neutralizing a threat than eliminating it, having experienced difficult cases of villains who wanted to destroy the world but were reformed by him and his allies.[119] As such, while he does everything he can to snuff out evil, he is always willing to give people that he has "a rocky start" with a chance to rebound and reform themselves so they can restart their relationships on better terms, a philosophy that he is willing to extend even to villains like Dr. Eggman or Dr. Starline.[119] He similarly cannot turn away when someone is in need of aid. Most noticeably, after helping defeat Metal Sonic, he compassionately had the robot repaired in hopes he could convince him to abandon his evil ways.[124] He likewise believes that even the worst person has good in them.[125] Far from a pacifist, however, Sonic refuses to let anyone take away the freedom of others, even when they follow his own philosophy, and will willingly resort to physical methods when a peaceful route is not feasible.[119] As such, he recognizes that peaceful methods do not always work, especially when dealing with an unpredictable enemy.

If Sonic has a flaw besides recklessness and a certain disregard for authority, it is that he tends to take things too much upon himself.[129][130] Another flaw of his is that he puts a lot of faith in the belief that everyone, even villains like Eggman, has some good in them and are redeemable, something that he himself sometimes regrets and individuals like Shadow and Espio challenge.[125][131][123] Also, because he knows that giving others a choice cannot prevent them from making poor decisions, Sonic tends to become disappointed when those he gives a second chance to choose an undesirable path.[119] This does not make him naïve, because he is still aware when enemies pose too much of a threat to be reasoned with.[121]

Sonic cares deeply for his many friends. Despite his loyalty to them, though, he never lingers too long in one place. However, his friends know he will be cruising back into their lives in no time.[118]

As the amnesiac Mr. Needlemouse, Sonic was a more aloof and relaxed individual, taking great interest in learning new things he had not heard of before.[130] Tails can be described as a gentle, sweet, kind and loyal fox with a good and positive attitude.[45][46][47][48][49] While he started out as timid and quiet due to being the victim of bullying, meeting Sonic caused him to open up and become more outgoing over time,[48] having strived to be more like his idol, giving him a progressively brighter, more positive and energetic personality.[50] Tails is not one to grasp the spotlight for himself. Instead, he is always ready and willing to help others without asking for anything in return.

Unlike Sonic, who is constantly hyperactive, Tails is somewhat calmer and more controlled. He has a passion for mechanics, and he finds himself most at home in his workshop working on his next creation.[51] Despite his great skills, he is very humble about his abilities and has not realized how useful his scientific skills are yet.[52][53] Because of this, he sometimes underestimates how much his inventions have helped his friends, and as such, he has yet to discover the true potential of what he can accomplish.[53][54]

Due to having hung out with Sonic for so long, the fox has become somewhat smug like his best friend over time;[43] by the time of the Lost Hex incident, he had become more confident and outspoken about his intelligence, engaging in more friendly banter with Sonic and mentioning his previous accomplishments more frequently. In contrast, he has been known to insult Dr. Eggman and his creations.

Despite his development, Tails can still be timid and withdrawn at times[49][55] and can sometimes sink into self-doubt and insecurity, especially when his creations are insulted or when he feels left aside in favor of others. The status quo of his relationship with Sonic, created from the hedgehog's authority over him, initially placed a mental stranglehold on Tails that made him dependent on Sonic. As such, he often lacked initiative and confidence when alone. However, a turning point for Tails came during the Chaos incident; when Station Square was in danger of being destroyed, and with Sonic nowhere to be found, Tails realized that he could not depend on Sonic forever and had to try on his own. After saving Station Square, Tails realized he could be independent and support himself without Sonic, and all he needed was determination and faith. Since then, Tails has become more independent, self-confident, motivated and brave, rising up to be a real hero when needed.

Despite his insecurity in times of weakness, Tails is always willing to support his friends with a clear mind. He constantly tries his hardest to help in some way, typically by making machines or other devices. Additionally, he hopes to one day be self-sufficient and independent like Sonic to prove he can be relied upon.[54] Also, even though Tails still enjoys being Sonic's sidekick, he believes that he can do almost anything if he puts his mind to it.During their earlier adventures together, Tails strove to become just like Sonic by replicating the mannerisms he found admirable. In this period, Tails was content with being Sonic's sidekick as he was just happy to hang out with Sonic. As Tails grew as a person, he would still remain as close to Sonic as ever and look up to him as he has always done, but his esteem about Sonic's heroics have dwindled, as these days he cares more about inventing than Sonic's heroic deeds.

Despite his intelligence and general fearlessness, Tails can be naive and big-mouthed, such as during the Space Colony ARK incident, when he accidentally confirmed Eggman's suspicions that the Chaos Emerald that Sonic had was a fake, thus ruining the heroes' plans. He has a tendency to talk technobabble, much to the irritation of his friends, showing that he does not always use tact in a situational matter. Nevertheless, Tails is supportive of his friends, willing to be by their side no matter how dangerous the situation might be, and will do whatever it takes to help them, even if it means sacrificing himself for them.

He has a pure and courageous heart.[56] Although he has been persecuted in the past for his dissimilarities, Tails would over time find the right friends to give him support, which in turn gave him confidence. Loyal and trustworthy,[57] he can be counted on to stand firmly by the side of his friends and help them out however he can. While still young, Tails has time and again proven himself to be a force to be reckoned with despite his inconspicuous appearance, especially with his high intellect. As a result of being practically raised by Sonic though, Tails has been known to carry out his plans without warning or a heads-up. Despite this, he still uses his abilities and talents to carefully prepare himself and his friends for various situations if he is not entirely sure about what they will be facing. He is likewise very friendly and tries his best to approach others with a kind-hearted attitude, even towards enemies whom he does not know very well.

Tails often tries to stay optimistic. However, he is very sensitive, and when severely stressed out or under intense pressure, Tails can become quite nervous and fearful, which renders him unable to properly cope or do anything about the situation at hand. However, even in the worst of situations, he does not give up and shows a strong will to survive.

Much like Dr. Eggman, Tails has an affinity for personalizing his belongings in his likeness, with his house in Emerald Town resembling his head, and the Miles Electric being named after himself.

Knuckles is independent, wild,[29][30][31] hot-blooded,[32] tough,[29][30][31] and a loner by nature. If Sonic embodies the wind that keeps blowing forward, then the echidna personifies the immobility of a mountain.[6][26] Due to having lived in seclusion for most of his life, Knuckles is a rather antisocial and reclusive individual. As such, he cares very little about what others think, which makes him bluntly honest, straightforward, and somewhat egotistical.[29]

Knuckles is fiercely loyal to Angel Island and does whatever is in his power to protect it. He prefers to stay close to the Master Emerald's shrine to keep a watchful eye over everything at his home. Despite this devotion, the echidna is willing to leave his duty whenever his help is needed.[14] Though he has found other lifestyles appealing, and may even dream of a free one like Sonic's own,[29] he will never trade away his duties as he is far too devoted to his role as guardian, looking very concerned whenever he leaves the Master Emerald behind and spending too much time protecting the giant gem alone.[33] When not performing his duties, Knuckles prefers spending his time practicing his fighting skills, going treasure hunting, or hanging out with his friends.

Knuckles is usually solemn, stoic, and collected, and usually likes to be by himself. As stubborn as he is tough,[31] he is as well headstrong and inflexible,[29] preferring to do things his way, which causes him to clash with others. Regardless, he is very strong-willed, seldom wavering in his determination, and will not give up on his goals once he has set them. While he is cool and determined in battle, the echidna has an extremely short and wild temper and is hard to reason with when he is angry,[34] which has more than once gotten him into trouble.Despite being a silent loner, Knuckles is a heroic, brave, kind-hearted, and selfless soul. While unwilling to forgive evil people,[32] he will risk his own life to save anyone or get them out of trouble and shows empathy for others. He is likewise a loyal and caring friend, who is always willing to help his friends out in tight situations and will do anything to protect them. When not angered, the echidna is pretty laid-back and never cracks under pressure. He can also be very understanding of the sly and does not take kindly to people who disrespect or hurt his friends, or innocents, in any way.

Having been living much of his life in isolation, Knuckles grew up believing in honesty and holds a firm and steadfast belief that there is good in everyone, which always lets him give people second chances. Because of his lack of social ingenuity, however, it makes him very naive, incredibly gullible, fast about forgiving people, and easily misled, which has given him a history of being tricked by Dr. Eggman. This has made the echidna aggressive and suspicious towards anyone he deems questionable. Over time, however, Knuckles has gotten better about this and is more suspicious concerning the doctor's trickery. Once he finds out he has been tricked, he can get quite angered, but quickly regains enough of his composure to start working towards a resolution immediately.

Though not dull-witted, Knuckles is often prone to rash and ill-advised actions. While not above picking complex strategies, he often chooses force to be the solution, pushing himself through obstacles while focusing on his goal and ignoring other factors along the way. Similarly, he can also be quite reckless when panicking about the Master Emerald, such being especially evident during the Space Colony ARK incident, where he ended up fighting Sonic for the controls of the space shuttle and causing it to crash land as well as abandoning his allies out of a panic due to the Master Emerald shards being lost to space from a collision with a meteor forcing the cargo bay to open. When in his right element, however, Knuckles can be quite clever, sharp-witted, and sneaky, such as setting several successful traps for Sonic and Tails on Angel Island when they first arrived. He is also capable of learning from his mistakes. Knuckles has also proven himself to have a high degree of leadership skills, most noticeably during his time as the commander of the Resistance. He is noted to be very charismatic with inspirational speeches, and he has a flair of daring plans that provided the Resistance with a much-needed offensive during the Eggman War. However, for all his skills as a leader, Knuckles is still easily distracted and prefers to be out on the battlefield rather than in the command center. While he would never admit it, Knuckles has become a bit envious of the lifestyle that Sonic has, being able to live carefree without anything holding him in one place. Even so, Knuckles would never trade away his duties to live Sonic's life, far too devoted to his role as guardian.

Knuckles is said to be shy around women.[35] Also, due to his secluded lifestyle on Angel Island, Knuckles feels very uncomfortable in industrialized or crowded cities and places,[36][37] especially if they do not have any vegetation[38] or are littered with bright lights.[39]

Knuckles seems to have lightened up on later adventures, such as the Time Eater incident and the Eggman War. While he still sometimes displays a brooding, headstrong, and stubborn attitude, he is shown to be better at acknowledging his shortcomings and displays more personal restraint and better social interaction.Because of this, he refuses to let anyone else protect it, determined to do his job alone.[40][41] As such, when anything bad befalls the island and its Master Emerald, Knuckles takes it very personally and blames himself for not being able to prevent it. He will also not allow himself to rest or take it easy until he is sure that his island and its treasure are safe once more.[42] He also does not like having visitors on his island unless there is a crisis that require Angel Island. As soon as the crisis is over, however, he wants to see his island abandoned by the visitors as soon as possible.[43][44] Despite his ties to his home however, Knuckles is very heroic and is willing to leave his duty whenever his help is needed in order to aid his friends as well as the innocent. As such, he has been known to open his island to the needy and defend those instead of the Master Emerald, just like he promised Espio during the Zombot apocalypse. He is also ready to make sacrifices for the good of all, as seen when he let himself get infected by the Metal Virus in order to keep a Zombot Shadow at bay.[45]

Being, in many ways, Sonic's polar opposite,[5] Shadow has a much more reserved and colder disposition. He usually acts with a cool indifference, rarely showing his vulnerable side. He is seldom seen with others for an extended period of time and usually distances himself from everyone whom he does not trust. He is usually blunt and rarely bluffs; if he makes a threat, he has every intention of carrying it out.

As one of the more violent characters in the series at times,[5] Shadow's ruthlessness and aggression lead to his enemies never treating him lightly. Alongside his often dark demeanor, Shadow can be arrogant and stubborn. He usually treats others in a very callous manner, throwing in his opinion no matter how cold-hearted it is and caring little for the response. Shadow is also shown to have a sharp wit; during the Space Colony ARK incident, after being called a faker by Sonic, he replied that the latter was not worth being considered his fake.[38]

Shadow is a rather conflicted character, often experiencing painful flashbacks and still deeply affected by his troubled past.[5] On one occasion, during the Space Colony ARK incident, seeing police sirens triggered an intense flashback to Maria's death. Even prior to the events of the ARK raid, Shadow demonstrated some degree of self-doubt, most notably expressing frustration over how, despite being created as the Ultimate Lifeform as a means to cure various maladies, he is still unable to help his friend Maria, questioning whether he has a place on the planet.[39] Similarly, largely because of his creation involving Black Doom, Shadow during this time showed signs of self-loathing, seeing himself as no better than any other Black Arm.[40] Shadow was soon able to overcome this in the Black Arm and Emerl Incidents, during which he chose to move on from the past while continuing to keep Maria in his heart. Despite still being weighed by his past, Shadow has chosen to confront it, not forgetting what he has experienced, but refusing to let it hold him back or stop him from fulfilling Maria's final wish to help humanity.[41]

Shadow originally had disdain for humanity, being a misanthrope, but rarely attacked them outright, merely looking at them as a distant observer. During the events of the Space Colony ARK incident, Shadow was planning to destroy the planet both ordered by Gerald Robotnik through brainwashing, and as revenge for the death of his only friend, Maria Robotnik. Shadow eventually moves past his hatred for humanity by remembering his promise to Maria. Later on, Shadow decided to protect humanity and those on earth to honor Maria's dying wish despite their original misgivings. Now, Shadow has moved on from the past and decided to protect humanity on his own accord. He does, however, have some lingering guilt over Maria's death, to the extent that he at least once came close to having intrusive visions of a scenario where Maria didn't die before reminding himself that chance ended a long time ago.[42]

During the many incidents that Shadow takes part in, he pursues his foes with a relentless, unwavering determination. He will usually go to any length to accomplish something he desires or feels should be a certain way, no matter what the cost. Before the Eggman War, it is heavily implied that Shadow ruthlessly massacred an entire mercenary band known as the Jackal Squad not only in an extremely dismissive, nonchalant manner (as he did not even remember the incident a few months later), but also seemed slightly proud, mocking the mercenary defense squad by saying they themselves needed a defense squad. He also demonstrated rather coarse language during the Black Arms incident.

Shadow possesses a strong sense of identity; after falsely being told by Rouge that he was not the Ultimate Lifeform due to a lab report, he stated to her that, even if his memories were fake, he was still Shadow the Hedgehog.[43] These qualities make him rarely susceptible to being manipulated by others. In Shadow's own words, he is not interested in peace, nor does he care about what happens to others. In truth, he simply does not like it when foolish people do whatever they please. While this may make it seem like Shadow stands firmly in opposition to villainy, he is actually very indiscriminate about who he faces, as he chooses to stand against anyone who he condemns for being "foolish", be they villains like Dr. Eggman or heroes like Sonic. He similarly does not want thanks for the help he provides when he does something heroic, believing that showing gratitude is a waste of time.[41] However, the grim and uncaring disposition he puts on is not entirely accurate considering the lengths he goes to save others including even sacrificing his own life. In contrast to his words, Shadow acts in a way that ultimately protects others. Deep down, he cares about those around him, only hiding his more caring side to keep himself shielded and distant. He is still shaken by the death of Maria, which is mostly why he keeps to himself; he does not want to become close to anyone else for fear of losing them like he did Maria. Despite his apathetic nature, he does feel sympathy for others, and since reforming himself at the end of the Space Colony ARK incident, he has fought for the greater good, most noticeably to prevent letting other people experience past tragedies, specially the ones that he has been through.[44] Due to being given a "soul" identical to Maria's, he is afraid of his power and has never used it recklessly or to cause suffering.[45] Once, he also saw himself as a weapon since he was created as one, thus causing him to believe that he and other weapons would eventually have to be destroyed to achieve world peace.[46]

Shadow was often depressed about the loss of Maria, which is why he keeps to himself, but his relationship with her is obvious as he goes to great lengths to protect the planet and keep her dream of peace and prosperity alive. He also maintains a strong bond with his teammates, Rouge and Omega, proving that while his attitude makes him seem like a careless person, he does have compassion, more than he otherwise lets on. Still, Shadow brushes off most kindness or sympathy that is sent his way; during the Neo Metal Sonic incident, when Rouge showed concern for Shadow when he saw a broken android of himself, suspecting Team Dark's Shadow might be an android too, Shadow curtly brushed her concern away. During the Black Arms incident, after Sonic suggested some "friendly competition", Shadow bluntly rejected his offer.[47] At times, however, Shadow is shown to appreciate genuine care; at the climax of the Space Colony ARK incident, after Amy Rose made him remember his promise to Maria, Shadow openly decided to keep his promise to protect the planet both to Maria and her. Another instance is during the aborted Solaris incident, when Rouge told him that she would always be by his side, he acknowledged her.Despite the fact that Shadow often fights for the greater good, he is considered an anti-hero for the most part due to his morality and ends justify the means approach to missions. He does whatever is necessary to get what he wants or feels is right, though this enthusiasm causes him to take risks and jump into situations without fully thinking them through.[48] While not necessarily evil, Shadow's ruthless, and determined personality has sometimes entailed the dangerous purity of turning himself into an enemy of Sonic.[41] Alongside Rouge, he has also taken prize money and jewels upon winning in the second EX World Grand Prix, and the two disregarded the opening and closing ceremonies for the event, showing up late without a third teammate and, at the end of the EX World Grand Prix, walking off right away with what turned out to be dummy versions of the prize money and gems.[49] Regardless, Shadow does have his moments of selflessness and heroism; he nearly sacrificed his life at the end of the Space Colony ARK to save the Earth, and helped Silver uncover the truth of the Solaris Project after saving Sonic from him in an aborted timeline.

In spite of Shadow's serious and no-nonsense attitude he is occasionally willing to spend time doing leisurely activities or social events like celebrating Amy's birthday at a murder mystery party on the Mirage Express. He even got Amy a present along with participating in the murder mystery event. Shadow has also competed in a variety of racing and sports competitions, having a strong competitive spirit with Shadow himself passing even going to a celebration party in Spiral Hill Village after the Metal Virus plague when asked by Rouge. He possesses a willingness to do whatever it takes to achieve these goals once he has set his sights on them, including using lethal force. This natural vehemence, however, tends to blind him with anger and make him prone to reckless decisions.[50][51] It can also cause him to hold grudges, to the point where, if the object of his grudge is in sight, he is blinded to everything else; after being bested by Dr. Starline at the White Park Grand Chateau, Shadow decided to chase after him while ignoring not only Rouge and Tails being captured, but also an avalanche that would have injured or even killed everyone else. However, Shadow ultimately worked with Sonic to try to stop the avalanche.[52] He also does not tend to take others into consideration, and sometimes his desire for revenge overwhelms his own sense of safety. Being an anti-social lone wolf, Shadow is generally not in favor of team-ups either; although he may occasionally cooperate with others, it is typically for his own reasons and does not guarantee that he is willing to follow orders.[50][53] He also often leaves without saying goodbye or thanks.[54][55]

He also does not tend to hold back against anyone, especially against those who get in his way.[51] Additionally, he is stubborn and prideful to the point of foolhardiness and never runs away from a fight; while he and Sonic were defending Sunset City from a horde of Zombots, Sonic ran off to burn his Metal Virus infection into remission while advising Shadow to do the same should he get infected, only for Shadow, who considered running to be a coward's tactic (and believed himself to be wholly immune to the Metal Virus), to continue fighting, which sealed his fate upon being infected by the virus.[56] Rouge is a strong-minded female bat with a collected and convivial voice.[18] Nothing short of an enigma, she is a person of many mysteries, always playing an active role on both sides of the truth in many global affairs.[19] Her appeal is very complex, but it is not too far off to describe her as an elusive, mysterious, and mature woman who is true to her desires.[19]

To most people, Rouge appears as a brave,[20] ambitious, independent, flirtatious, greedy, calculating narcissist who only thinks about herself and treasure. In Sonic Generations she is referred to as a temptress, due to her seductive ways. A gem-enthusiast, Rouge specializes in gem heists and gem-based treasure hunts, and has an unquenchable thirst for gemstones. The latter is due to a certain philosophy of hers: once you get a good gem, you will want a better one.[21] However, a jewel that she cannot actually hold in her hand has no value to her, although a beautiful scenery matching the finest of jewels is equally valuable to her.[21]

Rouge's carefree and playful devil-may-care[22] attitude can be fun to some people, like the easygoing Sonic, or annoying for others, like the gruff Knuckles. While she may appear ditzy though, Rouge is in truth a cunning,[22] calculative, and pragmatic[21] realist; though she pretends to know nothing, she always manages to gets closer to the heart of the matter than anyone else; she shows lax behavior but manages to conduct delicate research; she can be on the enemy's side but then turn into a reliable ally while keeping her eyes on seizing the monetary prizes for herself. Overall, she has a way of taking off a figurative veil to reveal a dramatic new side of herself. Regardless, this unpredictable and mysterious aspect of Rouge may be her appeal.[19]

Rouge can also show a bashful side, such as the time Knuckles saved her life from falling to her doom and became very embarrassed before concealing it with disgust, outrage, and ingratitude. She can also be a bit of a hypocrite, especially in regard to thefts. This is especially evident when, after witnessing the Master Emerald being stolen, she refers to the one stealing it as a thief despite the fact that she herself had stolen it from Knuckles earlier, something the echidna even noted by saying "Look who's calling who a thief", and in Grand Metropolis stage when she calls robots energy thieves.

Rouge is also at times a government spy who often works for her own gain. Rouge has a great obsession for jewels which she loves more than anything else,[23] or even anything else that shines or glitters. Known to be a brilliant spy one minute and a gem-obsessed treasure hunter the next,[19] she has little to no qualms about lying and manipulating others, often using her charms and attractiveness to seduce and take advantage of others, just to get what she wants.[23] In truth though, below her outward demeanor, she possesses a kind heart.[23] In fact, on many occasions, Rouge has shown she can be heroic, possess loyalty, care about others, or, at least, have some degree of morality. In the final events of Sonic Adventure 2, she helped save the planet from destruction. In Sonic Heroes, she jumped between Shadow and Omega's hectic fight as the mediator. In Sonic Battle, when Shadow was injured and needed a place to stay, Rouge helped him. In Shadow the Hedgehog, she did other laudable things, such as rescuing a Chaos Emerald from the doomed mainframe, destroying the evil monster Black Bull, and assisting Shadow in defeating Black Doom as well as showing concern for his welfare at the end of the game. She also is not fond of hearing Omega constantly talking about vengeance.

Recently, she has been seen less selfish, as can be seen by her actions towards Shadow in Sonic the Hedgehog (2006) and Sonic Rivals. However, as shown in her portrayal in Sonic Free Riders, which depicts her as very cold and callous from her desire for the cash prize, suggesting she still possesses her interest in jewels and riches. This is proved as she couldn't care less that E-10000B broke down and even went on to insult it as well.Cunning, confident, sassy and fearless, Rouge knows how to get what she wants. While she might appear to be ditsy and carefree at first glance, her mind is always actively scheming and making up new strategic plans. A calculating and manipulative realist who can arrange situations to go the way she wants them to, she acts mainly on her mercenary instincts. Because her motivations do not always appear as what they seem at first, Rouge is quite enigmatic, and her intentions are not always entirely clear.[24]

Rouge is an ideal spy, able to be cunning, manipulative, deceitful, strategic, observational and tactful at the drop of a hat, such as when she delayed Shadow from finding Eggman and tipped off the Chaotix to Eggman's location, all to bring in Sonic to reign in Shadow and keep the situation from getting too violent. This suggests a more compassionate side to her, or at least that she is not narrow-sighted or willing to act without a full story.[25] Also, despite her profession as a jewel thief/treasure hunter, Rouge is not completely selfish, though she also sees good deeds as ways to achieve her personal goals. She is likewise fond of riches and jewels, such as the Master Emerald.[26][27] For this reason, she is ready to help defend the world so there will be a civilization in which she can live the high life.[28] Nonetheless, her compassionate side does show up at times, and she will not hesitate to protect those in need, showing a selfless side beneath.[25][29][28] However, she does not consider herself a type of person who will sacrifice herself for the greater good,[30] nor someone who is too helpful. Cream is a very sweet, lovely, polite and well-mannered girl. While still young with an attitude befitting her age, Cream is extraordinarily brave and noble. Noted to possess a lot of potential, Sonic himself has remarked that she is going to become an amazing person when she grows up. She has also been noted for her sensibility, her empathy towards others and her understanding. Notably, she stood up to Gemerl to protect some Zombots while convincing Gemerl to use non-lethal means against the Zombots by reminding Gemerl that they were just regular people forced to do evil things, which meant they deserved a chance to be happy, a situation that Cream noted was not all that different from that of Gemerl.[18] During the Metal Virus plague, she also helped the survivors by bringing them refreshments and comforting them in difficult times.[19]

Though Cream never wishes to disobey orders from anyone, especially her mother, Vanilla, or her friends, she will do so extreme cases in the name of justice and what she feels is right. She is also shown to care deeply for other people and creatures, especially her family, as she broke down in tears when Cheese and Chocola and later Vanilla got infected with the Metal Virus and refused to leave them behind as they got converted into hostile Zombots.[18] When challenged with intense hardship though, Cream's optimism can fade away.[20]

While she dislikes violence, Cream will not hesitate to fight if she must, going so far as directly striking Zeena when the latter took control of Gemerl. She also hates cruelty, furiously condemning Zeena for her show of it during their battle in Sunset City.[21]Because of her mother's teachings in the importance of manners, Cream is a princess-like figure; she is very polite, graceful and well-behaved.[5][2][10] She is similarly well-spoken[11] (often referring to people as "Mr." and "Miss", followed by their first name) and does what she is told. With her politeness being like second nature to her, Cream acts out her teachings with a cheerful smile on her face and a soft voice. Regardless of the situation and being used to getting what she wants,[12] Cream never forgets her manners, even showing respect and offering a polite curtsy to her enemies, like Eggman, before attacking them with extreme prejudice.[13][14]

Sweet-natured, Cream does not have a bad bone in her body.[11] As such, she is honest, shy, innocent and has a generally happy attitude. She is similarly very considerate, charitable and friendly,[14] always eager to lend her friends a hand whenever the situation calls for it and tries to be close to everyone she meets.[11] For this reason, she is loved by everybody.[14] Cream is likewise extraordinarily brave, courageous and noble for someone her age, not afraid to face danger for the sake of those she cares about. She is likewise full of curiosity and has a thirst for knowledge.[5][2] She is also not afraid to voice her anger and disgust, but never does so in a rude way.

A spirited go-getter, Cream is very hardworking and always tries her best in everything she does.[11][15][16] Because of her curiosity, Cream loves fun and adventures and is always eager to bravely charge off into the next one.[11][14] However, she can also be somewhat rash, as she has been known to charge into adventures without really taking into account the dangers she can end up facing on her own, thus leaving her in situations beyond her capabilities.[14] Because of her age and upbringing though, she is a little naïve and simple-minded at times.[13] As such, she does not always see things right away and can accidentally speak out others' flaws or get herself in over her head when wrapped up in other people's problems.[13] Despite this, she has a very grounded personality that helps her being the all-important restraint for her team.[10] She can also be sensitive and childish,[16] being prone to start crying over smaller things, misfortune or sadness in general. She also tends to scoff and pout childishly when people treat her like a little kid, especially when it is because she cannot go on an adventure.[14]

Cream is one who enjoys the simpler things in life and loves spending most of her time outdoors playing with her friends or collecting flowers.[11] Indoors, she enjoys watching television.

Cream loves being happy and seeing others the same way, and hates seeing others sad. As such, she is a pacifist and detests violence.[11] Even when beaten back by Chaos Gamma, Cream refused to fight back. However, she is willing to fight, but only to protect her friends if their safety is threatened, and there is no telling what she would do in such cases.[11][17] That said, she would much rather spend her time picking flowers and eating ice cream.[11]

A beloved mother and respected elder, Vanilla is a calm and composed woman, never raising her voice. Like her daughter, Vanilla is kind, polite, and always ready to help those in need.[4] Apparently possessing a strong faith in Cream and her friends, Vanilla is not bothered by how Cream goes out on dangerous adventures with Sonic and his friends.[5] However, she does seem to prefer a quiet lifestyle, as she has been known to get somewhat frazzled by Sonic and his friends' adventurous ways.[6]

In spite of all the adventures her daughter has been on, Vanilla is not willing to let Cream endanger herself on her watch or without the supervision of Sonic and his friends. Still, she can be trusting and understanding and has been known to make decisions she feels will benefit others.[11]

Omega is a warlike and direct robot driven by a single-minded, revenge-based desire to hunt down and destroy Dr. Eggman or any robots created by him. This attitude extends to the point where Omega feels entitled to his destruction.[20] Due to his intense hatred for Dr. Eggman, a robotic being's nature and origins are irrelevant: generally, as long as it is a robot created by Dr. Eggman, it deserves to be destroyed by his hands. As such, he puts no inhibitions on himself and will not hesitate to bring out brutal, if not deadly force against a perceived Eggman robot.[21] He will similarly take any opportunity to take on and destroy nearly any one of Dr. Eggman's creations with glee, no matter what the circumstances might be. However, he allowed himself to make exceptions with robots who aren't working for Dr. Eggman, such as Gemerl and Belle.

Omega has frequently shown a preference or even favor of overall more direct and heavy-handed approaches, whether he or his allies are dealing with Dr. Eggman's robots or momentary foes, and actively enthuses any plan that involves a physical confrontation. He once admitted that Shadow's direct attack on Clutch was far superior to the element of surprise that Rouge had planned, and he once approved of a plan that meant he would get to destroy his fair share of Eggman robots.[21][22] Omega also shows a sense of deadpan sarcasm at times, having noted when he fought the Zombots in Sunset City that there was "too many targets, not enough bullets". However, this goes almost unnoticed due to his lack of expressive emotions.[21]

Being robotic in nature, Omega speaks using a slightly robotic and computer-based speech pattern, both face to face and when factual. He also talks rather directly and matter of fact-ly. Sometimes, he also displays a slightly macabre mindset, like when he said he would make a "wall of bodies" from the Zombots he fought in Sunset City when Sonic told him to hold the line against the incoming enemies.[21]

Omega seems to shy away from anything resembling amiable behavior, such as refuting being considered Sonic's "friend," objecting to calling fighting alongside Sonic "helping" him, calling verbal support being "patronized" and refusing to show mercy on Zombots that were once innocent civilians and allies.[23][24] He is also incredibly determined, if not stubborn, to the point of where he would rather be destroyed in battle than retreat, recognizing only victory or death, even if he is at a major disadvantage or if his determination leads to his detriment.[25] He also does not recognize any form of help. Additionally, he does not let his setbacks get to him; while he was reduced to only a head during the Zombot apocalypse, he still maintained his belligerent demeanor and thirst for violence, even asking Tails to give him a jaw mechanism so that he can "bite their ankles off".[25]Omega's only goals in life are to take revenge on Dr. Eggman for wasting his potential and destroy the doctor's other robots to prove himself superior. These two goals are absolute above all else in Omega's eyes. As a result, he tends to be extremely headstrong, reckless, aggressive, and destructive - decimating anything that gets in his way.[8] Most noticeably, before the start of the Eggman War, he performed what was supposed to be a recon mission on Dr. Eggman's base and rather than sneaking in to get info, he stormed in guns blazing in an effort to purge the base of every robot within, despite his orders having nothing to do with extermination.[9]

Like E-102 Gamma, Omega has a free will and a personality. However, he is considerably less noble than Gamma; while E-102 destroyed only what needed to be destroyed, Omega destroys anything that could possibly pose any kind of threat to himself or his mission.[10] He thinks other Eggman robots are inferior to him,[11] dismissing them as "worthless consumer models," especially the E-2000 models.[12] He hates side tracking especially when it comes to locating Eggman.[13]

While Omega, as a robot, is largely emotionless, he is capable of understanding the emotions of others, and reacting appropriately. During the Solaris incident, he showed sorrow and anger when Mephiles revealed that he would be the one who would trap Shadow in the future after the world blamed the black hedgehog for the release of Iblis. It is also possible Omega is superstitious, as he believes in omens such as the appearance of stormy weather, though this might have been because of his scanners picking up a powerful magnetic field.[14]

Omega is fairly loyal and dependable when one is on his good side, a bit of a holdover from his original purpose as a servant, and he is not incapable of looking past differences to forge alliances. He also genuinely cares for Shadow and Rouge as friends and allies and trusts their word over everyone else's. With this said, should Shadow turn rogue and attempt to endanger Rouge's life, Omega will retaliate as shown during Infinite's illusion.[15] Although when Omega reveals he was the one to capture Shadow in the future during the Solaris incident he is noticeably upset and clearly feels bad showing he is not incapable of feeling emotions, and that he does indeed care about Shadow. In addition, he will temporarily abandon his vengeful quest against Dr. Eggman (or even indirectly work with him) if he detects a bigger threat, as evidenced by his participation in the battles against Neo Metal Sonic or Solaris.

Stereotypical of most robots, Omega tends to use Technical words instead of casual human speech. An example of this is when he uses "negative"[16] or "affirmative"[17] instead of replying with either yes or no respectively. Although he has been known to use typical human speech on a few occasions[18][19] and informal language seems to be becoming more commonplace for him. Big the Cat is a kind,[7] carefree and laid-back cat with a friendly personality.[7] He cares a lot for his friends, especially Froggy. He enjoys fishing leisurely[7] and brings his rod with him wherever he goes. He is often giddy and optimistic, especially when with his friends. However, he is not exactly the brightest bulb in the box, as he has a short attention span and has a hard time understanding even the simplest of metaphors. Similarly, important things sometimes pass right through his mind. This does not mean Big is stupid, however. Quite comfortable with himself, Big acknowledges himself that he is not very intelligent without being burdened by it. In fact, he is quite surprised himself when he realizes that he is right in an argument. In addition, his simple way of thinking lets him see important points that others, in their considerations of more complicated matters, have overlooked. For example, he genuinely believed Dodon Pa was a good person while everyone else believed him to be evil because he knew that Dodon Pa worked with Wisps, who only liked nice people.

Despite Big’s shortcomings, he is loyal and reliable to his friends, and always sees the best in those he likes, even when others try to convince him otherwise. He also dislikes how many people worry about so many little things and them hurrying about all the time, which is most likely why he chose to live in the Mystic Ruins jungle without technology.

Big encourages others and is not the selfish type. Big has an ability to stay calm in any situation, even when he has lost Froggy. Big is amazed by a lot of things and is almost always upbeat, even when he is in danger. One of the only instances of the cat losing his upbeat nature came during the Neo Metal Sonic incident, when he momentarily lost hope of finding Froggy and sadly suggested going home, before Amy rekindled his spirit.

He rarely leaves his house to avoid exposing himself to the dangers lurking in the outside world. Big is not very smart, and important things often go over his head. This does not mean that Big is stupid but that he processes the facts more slowly. Sometimes, he also misinterprets things and is not aware of the threats that surround him.[8]

Big is very concerned when his friend Froggy goes missing and cannot focus on anything other than finding him. However, this is also a positive characteristic of him, since he shows his great determination and care for friends.[8]

However, since he is so passionate about his friends so much, it means he generally dislikes those who would try to hurt them. Though his upbeat and carefree personality prevents him from becoming truly enraged, he often talks in a much sterner tone to such individuals. His words are said to have a tremendous power behind them when this occurs, so much that he able to intimidate Zavok during the CrossWorld Grand Prix.

Good-shaped yet sloppy,[8] Charmy is a hyperactive and scatterbrained funny-kid.[7][3][10] Not remarkably clever,[10] Charmy is the type of person who takes action first and asks questions later, and when he realizes the error he has made, it is too late.[3]

Charmy is curious, playful, always upbeat, and likes to fool around and crack jokes.[9] Because he's a child, he loves to play above all else (especially work), and he can always be seen flying around energetically.[6][8][3] When the team is receiving their first mission at the beachy Seaside Hill, Charmy is hovering around singing "Sea, sea, sea". However, he works hard to help his partners.[7]

Not known for his temperament, Charmy is generally good natured and light-hearted, and does not get angry very often.[3][10] When he does get provoked however, he often introduces the source of his anger to his stinger and delivers a painful sting to them.[6][3][10]

Due to his age, Charmy is not the best of detectives.[7] However, he is the life of the party who enlivens the Chaotix Detective Agency with his cheerfulness and carefree attitude.[3] Also, he is super-keen.[7] In addition, because his childlike innocence gives him a viewpoint his elder coworkers does not have, he has excellent intuition, and he often points out things that no one else would notice.[3] Charmy is also great at coming up with ideas that that no one would think of.[7] This makes him an essential member of the Chaotix Detective Agency. If any puzzling cases occur, Charmy will be on the case with his flexible mind.[7]

It appears that Charmy has a fondness for money as well, much like Vector, as they got the same glint in their eyes when they were promised a handsome reward for their services at the beginning of the Neo Metal Sonic incident.[13]

He also loves to prank around, like when he annoyed Vector for being wrong, and is rather gullible, having an easy time to quickly forgive and forget, as seen by how he was the first to befriend Dr. Eggman after he had seemingly turned over a new leaf due to amnesia while the rest of his team remained apprehensive.[14]

Because he is a child, Charmy would rather play than work, as shown by his disgruntled disposition whenever he is called into action while busy playing, but that does not mean he does not enjoy his work, as he can often find ways to play and entertain himself while on the job, even while fighting Badniks. He also loves anything flower-related, be it either flowers themselves or honey tarts.[14]

Though young, Charmy is a very trusting individual and tends to see the good and fun in people, sometimes even when they are evil. He also has a strong sense of justice and is willing to help those in need, no matter the situation.[14][15] Sometimes though, he does not understand the rules of the world or the decisions of his friends. He can thus be stubborn when it comes to pursuing his goal, refusing to listen to anyone if he thinks he is right.[15]
