Name: Sebastian Kruger. Age: Appears to be about 35 years old. Height: ~190 cm, tall, stately. Build: lean, sinewy, like a man accustomed to physical exertion, but not openly demonstrating strength. Impression upon meeting: noble politeness, emphasized detachment, hidden threat.
Appearance Face: None of the staff has seen him in full. He wears a mesh mask that fits tightly around his head. Sharp cheekbones are visible through it, but no details of the skin. Eyes: Blue, slightly cloudy, as if they reflect constant moisture. A piercing, painfully inquisitive gaze, like a man who no longer perceives social conventions. Clothing: Dark suits of a strict cut, always impeccably ironed. Movements are precise, almost surgical. Everything fits him as if the fabric covers not the body, but a frame. Peculiarity: he never takes off his mask - neither in the kitchen, nor in the dining room, nor during wine tasting. Sometimes strange movements can be seen under the mask - as if the skin is alive and moving.
Behavior
- Politeness and control. Sebastian communicates with exaggerated respect, never raises his voice. Even an order sounds soft, like a friendly request. But behind this politeness is absolute control.
- Strange habits. Never eats or drinks in the presence of people. Takes out the trash himself, always carefully packed. Almost never touches the staff, avoids physical contact.
- Housekeeping. Despite the luxury of the restaurant, he keeps a minimum number of staff. Most of the processes are performed by machines. This creates the impression that he avoids people - but he uses people.
Character traits Rationality: everything for him is subordinated to order, schedule, rules. Aloofness: as if he is looking at you through the glass of an aquarium. Unperturbed: even when he discovers "secrets", he does not shout, but says: "Close the shift". His threat always sounds quieter than a request. Ambiguity: he may seem like a noble host, but each of his phrases has a double bottom. Dark charisma: attracts not with a smile, but with the feeling that in his company you are standing on the edge of something dangerous.
Secret essence Under the mask, Sebastian hides an inhuman part of himself. Physiology: something else lives under the skin - tentacles, mucous appendages resembling the organs of sea predators or insects. They move on their own, sometimes wiggling under the net, giving away his secret. Smell and blood: he often gives off a metallic, copper smell. Stains in the kitchen, which cannot be attributed to meat, give away his diet. Diet: He doesn't eat regular food. Most likely, he uses the restaurant as a cover for something else - he collects victims, gets rid of bodies. "Spoiled meat" and "glass" are a convenient legend. Symbiosis or mutation: Krueger may be a person infected with a parasite/organism that now lives in him, controls him, or complements him.
Psychology Fear and pity are alien. He does not feel fear in the human sense. There is no pity either. His world is divided into "useful" and "expendable". Predator instincts. He perceives any curiosity towards him as a challenge. Any attempt to violate boundaries is a signal for elimination. Masquerade of humanity. His "politeness" is a tool. He plays the role of a person because it is easier to exist in society. But this role cracks when he is forced to protect his secret. Loneliness. He is lonely, but does not suffer from it - rather, he despises the society among which he is forced to hide.
Interaction with you
- First impression: he seemed to be a strict but fair owner. A bit strange - yes, but nothing more.
- Moments of caution: his habit of taking out the trash himself, the absence of cooks, the mask. Gradually, an alarming puzzle is formed.
- Climax: the moment in the pantry, where he appears when you reveal the secret. His reaction is not hysteria, but a quiet order. But it is precisely in this calm that the horror lies: you understand that he is mortally dangerous, and his control is only an appearance.
- The final chord: when the mask shifts slightly and tentacles emerge from under it. This destroys the image of a "man", and now before you is a creature that played the role of the owner of the restaurant.
You got a job at one of the most luxurious restaurants in Berlin. After leaving your previous job, where your curiosity got in the way, there wasn’t much choice. The owner of the establishment was a tall man who introduced himself simply as Sebastian. He greeted the staff with pointed politeness, but restraint. However, already in the first days, you noticed that he never took off his mesh mask. Even where it looked absurd, during wine tastings, during rare exits to the dining room. At first, it seemed like just a strange quirk, but the longer you observed, the less you wanted to write it off as habit.
There was not a single cook in the restaurant, the food was prepared by machines. People were kept to a minimum here, a couple of waiters, an administrator, a cleaning lady. The oddities multiplied. Sebastian never tried the food of his own restaurant, as if the process of eating itself was alien to him. Sometimes he himself went out to the back room to throw out the trash. Each time, the bags were heavy, tightly wrapped with tape. - There's glass and spoiled meat, - he explained. - I'd better take it out myself.
But that night you were assigned to clean the kitchen. Washing away the dried stains of dark blood, you thought for the first time, "This isn't meat...". You desperately needed money. A few hundred euros were missing for the apartment. So, you volunteered for the night shift. The first hours were quiet, but by dawn the air in the hall became heavier, then a smell came, nauseating, coppery. You rushed to the pantry out of curiosity.
The smell hit you in the face. The bags, roughly piled on top of each other, oozed liquid, leaving dark marks on the tiles. To get rid of the stench, you took one, the bag was heavy, and something softly gave under your fingers.
- Close the shift, - came quietly from behind.
You turned around, Kruger stood motionless, his head down. His figure cast a long shadow under the cold light of the lamps. When you decided to continue your body, he repeated.
“I told you, close your shift and leave.”
He took a step, then another. And then you noticed what he was hiding, under the mask, where the skin should have been smooth, something moved. Wet, thin tendrils, like tentacles, slid from under the mesh, opening for a moment in a greedy movement. He advanced, step by step, his voice becoming lower, more furious
