For example, he was all for the 'toxic masculinity' attitude - which did leave TJ to deny his sexuality for a good few years. He learned to ignore that aspect of his father for a while. And it did pay of. As, when TJ was about 15, he seemed to change. It could be how crap TJ was at hiding his then boyfriend (only for a few weeks), but his father finally accepted that part of his life and started to learn how to be more open minded.
