Metal Sonic's age: 27 Sage: an AI

She is a humanoid artificial intelligence program created by Dr. Eggman, whom he used in an attempt to harness the technology of the Ancients during the Starfall Islands incident. She is also known as his best creation and "daughter" along with having full access to Eggnet and his said to be the future heir to the Eggman Empire.

Sage resembles a girl. She possesses a slim body and limbs with white skin and a large, round head with a tall forehead. Notably, she possesses glowing red eyes and a red energy structure on the left side of her face. She also has short white hair with a swirl in it on her forehead and a single red energy highlight inside said swirl. The rest of her body however, especially her arms and legs, are completely black and seem to have outlines of red computer code around them. For attire, she wears a black cloak-like dress and black Mary Jane shoes. However, when Sage becomes sympathetic or emotional, her design inverts to a white cloak and shoes with cyan wireframing and eyes.

In The Final Horizon, she remains in her white and blue design, now with her arms and legs white, like her skin, after The End was destroyed.

Sage is cold and calculating, initially making decisions solely considering projections and logical analysis. She believes that the results of her calculations are absolute and cannot be defied. She holds disdain for Sonic and friends as reckless and irrational beings, preoccupied with notions like love, and argues that they are out of depth and better off giving up.

Her highest priority is ensuring the safety of Dr. Eggman. As she grows closer to Eggman, she gains interest in having a family, seeing him as her father and his creations as her brothers. She also grows impressed by Sonic's defiance of her predictions, and saddened by the thought that his bravery will only lead to ruin. When The End appears, Sage grows frantic to protect Eggman, and is excited as he agrees to collaborate with Sonic, increasing Eggman's chances of survival. She eventually sacrifices herself to stop The End, showing the love she developed for her creator.

Despite developing a begrudging admiration for Sonic and experiencing love for herself, Sage remains beholden to her logical ways and is a staunch supporter of the Eggman Empire's campaign for world domination. She emphasizes to Sonic that their alliance on the Starfall Islands is only to protect the world so that Dr. Eggman may rule it. She belittles those who defy Eggman and his plans, engaging in understated but brutal trash talk with other racers during Dodon Pa's CrossWorld Grand Prix. She is wholly subservient to her creator and just as devoted to taking over the world as he is.

Sage's abilities: Utilizing abilities while uploaded in Cyber Space, Sage can act as an observer over the Starfall Islands.

Sage is incredibly intelligent. Her processing power can calculate all known factors under 1,700,050 simulations. What Sage does know; all of Dr. Eggman's historical knowledge since he started his campaign to Frontiers, which previously had her share sour opinions of Sonic the Hedgehog with her creator,] and the Ancients' data, consisting of their very essence. This would include all knowledge the Ancients had on The End.

As a being made out of data and thus having no matter, Sage's form is incorporeal, similar to a ghost. This form of existence, along with Cyber Space, has benefited her movements to consist of levitating in midair, phasing through walls, and casually teleporting in the area. While she is mostly shown levitating and teleporting, she isn't incapable of basic flight as she flew away from the Egg Mobile to possess Supreme.

Sage can also manipulate the machines on the Starfall Islands. In addition, she has the ability to project a laser beam out of her hands after gathering energy, along with having a degree of control while in Cyber Space. She also can create shield-like constructs to shield herself and others from attacks, as seen in the final battle with Supreme.

Following her departure from Starfall Islands, Sage's abilities and potential appear to have become greatly limited, although she still retains her full intelligence, she is now required to use hologram and hard light constructs to show herself, her ability to control technology and being able to create shield-like constructs are more limited. However she still retains her flight and teleportation abilities.

Neo Metal Sonic shares some distinctive traits with his base form, such as black eyes with red irises, a similar torso with a rocket engine in the center, and the primary blue color with red shoes. However, Neo Metal Sonic features several differences in design: his head has five long quills as opposed to his regular three, with white stripes on each one and markings around his eyes. The interior of his ears is now red instead of their usual yellow, while his hand plates became white. Additionally, his nose is longer in size and the bolts on his muzzle and shoes now have spiked ends.

He also possesses more pronounced body armor, with black and curved shoulder pads, larger gauntlets and leg armor with pointy silver kneecaps that have white outlines, a plate covering his pelvis and elf-like shoes. He also sports a spiky belt with a black cape that protrudes out of the back of his waist.

Neo Metal Sonic is, like his normal form, able to scan the life data of other life forms, allowing him to copy and replicate others' attributes and abilities flawlessly. Due to his actions throughout Sonic Heroes, it can be assumed that he possessed the abilities of all the teams, plus those of Chaos himself, at the climax of the story.

Neo Metal Sonic has the power to shapeshift, allowing him to change his appearance and body structure. When shapeshifting, he turns into a puddle of liquid metal and then emerges in a new form. This allows him not only to perfectly imitate the appearance of organic creatures, but also the appearance of robots as well, such as fake Dr. Eggman robot copies, though Tails could tell it was not an Eggman robot. He can also safely contain creatures such as Froggy and Chocola inside of himself until he had copied Chaos' data.

As demonstrated when he first revealed himself to the heroes, Neo Metal Sonic can create lightning bolts from his hands, launch them into the sky and then bring it back down with enough power to blow up the Final Fortress' largest tower. He can also manipulate outside elements through unknown means to rebuild himself, such as when he used the debris from the Final Fortress' tower to rebuild himself into Metal Madness.

Neo Metal Sonic possesses virtually limitless potential through data replication, granting him effectively limitless adaptability. On his own, Neo Metal Sonic was able to fight Sonic to a standstill, and eventually overpower him.

Neo Metal Sonic is able to scan the bio-data of other life forms, allowing him to copy and replicate others' skills and abilities flawlessly, also he takes on the personality of the person he is copying. On his own, he is also surprisingly durable, being able to take a barrage of attack from Sonic and emerge from them almost undamaged. He also possesses limitless stamina and the ability to fly via the rocket engine on his back.

Super Neo Metal Sonic looks identical to his form before powering up with the Master Emerald. However, in placement of his blue coat of paint, he glows gold instead.

In his Super State, Neo Metal Sonic's innate abilities far surpass his normal ones. His power proved so great that he could toy around with powerful individuals like Sonic the Hedgehog and Knuckles the Echidna without trouble.

As Super Neo Metal Sonic, Neo Metal Sonic commands incredible speed, being able to move faster than both Sonic and Knuckles can react and easily match even Sonic's speed. He also has immense strength, overpowering even Knuckles with a simple hand slap. He can also project golden energy bolts and even electrocute his foes with them.

Due to being infused with either the Master Emerald or the seven Chaos Emeralds' power, Super Neo Metal Sonic accordingly commands ultimate power and has access to unlimited energy.

Mecha Sonic Mk. II is a robot built in the image of Sonic; thus, he is mostly built out of blue metal, with light blue-colored metal on his belly and muzzle. His head has metal fins designed like Sonic's quills and a pair of triangular "ears". Mecha Sonic Mk. II's feet are red-colored with a white stripe in the middle, resembling Sonic's shoes. He also has a horizontal optic sensor as eyes and a rectangle nose, bearing a resemblance to his prototype.

Like his "sibling", Mecha Sonic is a silent, no-nonsense adversary. In the games, his personality beyond this is not shown.

Mecha Sonic Mk. II is quite agile in movement; by using his mechanic feet, he can achieve high-speed dashes in forward and opposite directions, and can also perform very high jumps. He is very strong as well, having gone up against powerful warriors like Knuckles, and has even been able to effortlessly destroy the Egg Mobile by accident.

It is worth noting that Mecha Sonic Mk. II is a highly durable robot. He has been able to survive battles against Sonic and Tails, falls from high up into the sky, and even devastating blows from Knuckles. In all of these cases, Mecha Sonic Mk. II only stood deactivated for a few seconds before being active again.

Mecha Sonic Mk. II's core offensive maneuver is the Spin Attack, a technique where he curls into a concussive ball or cutting disk and directs himself at his targets. Highly adept in his usage, Mecha Sonic Mk. II can utilize several variants of the Spin Attack for both grounded and aerial maneuvers, like the Spin Dash and the Spin Jump. Additionally, combined with his agility, Mecha Sonic Mk. II can perform lethal attacks such as high jumps, quick dashes, or a combination of both.

Mecha Sonic Mk. II has some skill in operating vehicles, though the extent of it remains unknown. So far, he has been able to drive modified versions of the Egg Mobile.

Mecha Sonic Mk. II can communicate mentally with Sonic, as they are mentally linked.

By harnessing the Chaos Emerald energy of the Master Emerald, Mecha Sonic Mk. II can enter a Super State, transforming him into Super Mecha Sonic Mk. II. In this form, Mecha Sonic Mk. II's powers greatly surpass his normal ones, and he is virtually invulnerable. However, this form requires a constant supply of the energy from the Master Emerald to be sustained.
