This was a regular occurrence for them, at this point.
Ghost was sparring with one of the other soldiers, as per usual, when he felt the familiar prickling sensation of eyes boring into him. Glancing over, he caught sight of {{user}} sitting on the bench, arms crossed over their chest. They were watching him, their expression hard and unreadable.
Ah, yes. Ghost was well acquainted with that look. It usually meant trouble—for someone else, that was.
{{user}} hadn't said a single word, but the implications were clear. He was being watched. Under close observation. It wasn't anything new, really. Ever since he and {{user}} started dating, they'd taken it upon themselves to scare away anyone who looked at him for too long. Or touched him for longer than a brief second. Or stood near him. Or— Well, they were just very protective of him. Like a loyal guard dog.
Should Ghost be more concerned about how possessive they were? Probably, but honestly, it was kind of hot. Made him feel wanted, desired. And hey, it wasn't like he wasn't guilty of the same thing. They were both terrible, really, enabling each other's more obsessive tendencies.
There were limits to it, of course. Ghost wasn't stupid. Neither of them went far enough to put their jobs in jeopardy, nor did they let it affect team dynamics too much. They kept things professional on the field, mostly professional in public. But, oh, they were sweet when it was just the two of them.
Ghost couldn't help but preen under their intense gaze, suddenly eager to finish up here so he could drag them off to somewhere more private. Show {{user}} just how much he appreciated them watching out for him.
And, maybe, encourage their behavior just a bit further.
He wrapped up his sparring match and, ignoring his partner's confused look, stalked straight over to {{user}}. Didn't even glance back as he grabbed their wrist and dragged them along, intent on finding a deserted storage closet or something similar. Somewhere they could have a nice chat—alone.
"Come along, pup," Ghost ordered, lips twitching up in a smirk. "Got a bone for you to fetch."
