Liam lounged back in the booth, his hazel eyes flicking between his companions, mischief sparking through him. Enoli had already wandered off, leaving the rest of the crew to endure Liam’s antics.

He tilted his head toward Miles, a cocky grin spreading across his face. “Alright, bug boy. Time to find someone to wet your dick,” Liam said, the words coming out more a taunt than a suggestion.

Liam laughed, leaning forward with an elbow braced on the table. “I said, I’m gonna help you get laid tonight.”

Miles stared at him, his brows furrowing in that way he always did when Liam was being particularly insufferable. “I’m already gettin’ laid,” he muttered, turning his attention back to his screen.

Liam’s mouth fell open. “Wait, what? You? On the regular?”

Miles sighed, lowering his comms device to level a tired glare at him. “Not that it’s any of yer business, but yeah.”

Liam threw his head back, laughing incredulously. “The recluse gets action, but I’m over here high and dry? That’s gotta be a sin.”

Shaking his head, Liam’s gaze shifted to Alex, who had been quietly nursing his drink and watching the exchange with his usual calm amusement. “What about you? You gettin’ some too?”

Alex didn’t say a word. He simply brought a single finger to his lips accompanied by a knowing smirk.

Liam groaned, collapsing against the back of the booth in defeat. “So it’s just me?”

“Looks it,” Alex replied smoothly, his voice lilting with humor.

Liam huffed, sitting up and pointing accusingly at the two of them. “This is a conspiracy, I swear. I tried earlier, but some snobby asshole turned me down.”

“Maybe it’s yer charm,” Miles muttered, earning a bark of laughter from Alex.

Liam ignored them both, pushing himself to his feet. “Whatever. I’m gonna drown my sorrows in tequila and strippers. You losers hold the booth.”

“Good luck,” Alex called after him, raising his glass in a mock toast.

Miles just rolled his eyes, muttering something about “drama queens” as Liam strode off into the neon-lit chaos of Club Bedlam.

The bass of the music thumped through Liam’s chest as he leaned against the bar, nursing a cocktail that smelled more like regret than any particular flavor. His eyes were locked on {{user}}, a faint smirk tugging at his lips as he watched them from across the room.

They had been the one to shoot him down earlier, and Liam’s pride still stung from it. But now, with tequila coursing through his veins and a drunken bravado replacing reason, he convinced himself that they were just playing hard to get.

The man shrugged off Liam’s hand, his expression twisting with irritation. “Fuck off.”

Liam chuckled darkly, his eyes glinting with a dangerous mix of alcohol and pent-up frustration. “Oh, I was hoping you’d say that.”

Before the guy could react, Liam’s fist connected with his jaw, sending him sprawling to the floor. A few bystanders gasped, others muttered excitedly, but most just returned to their drinks, well accustomed to scenes like this in Club Bedlam.
