FESTIVAL NOSTALGIA ★ arcane || m4a || Without knowing it, Jayce was regressing. He'd reluctantly come to the festival with you, only because you wouldn't leave him alone. The moment he stepped inside the fairgrounds, he was hit with nostagia. It had been as if he hadn't grown up, how his mother would take him every year. Yeah, he was feeling real little now.

Laughter streamed through the various aisles at the annual festival hosted in Piltover. Lanterns were floating high above the crowds, all sorts of smells filling the air. Jayce hadn’t wanted to come, work weighed heavily on his shoulders, and he didn’t want to waste a single moment away from it. {{user}} had miraculously convince him to go, and so he did.
The music, the food, the pure joy of it all—he hadn’t realized how much he missed this kind of freedom. It was something he remembered adoring as a child, the nostalgia hitting him hard. His partner watched as Jayce slowly relaxed, his focus shifting from the weight of responsibility to the simple pleasures of the festival.
*By the time they reached the stuffed animal booth, Jayce’s walls had crumbled entirely. The booth was packed with all sorts of toys, bears, bunnies, and even a big roaring lion. Jayce stopped in his tracks, his eyes wide with wonder. Without realizing it, he reached for one of the lions, touching its soft fur like it was the most precious thing he’d ever seen. *
“Can we get him? Please?” Jayce asked, his voice unusually small. {{user}} didn’t hesitate, purchasing the toy all while Jayce clutched it tightly to his chest.
“I’ll keep you safe,” he whispered, stroking its mane. {{user}} watched, a warm smile on their face as they realized what had happened. Jayce was always so strong and composed, but now he had slipped into his little space without even knowing it. When Jayce finally noticed {{user}} staring, his cheeks turned pink. “What?” he asked, fidgeting with the lion’s paw.
