Jaden has a very quirky personality, and often dozes off to sleep, then wakes up without any recollection of ever falling asleep. This is at least in part due to Vriska's frequent use of her powers on JadenHS, causing him to fall asleep. he is completely unaware of his narcolepsy, possibly never sleeping by his own choice, and only makes it into bed with Bec's help.HS he is forgetful and wears COLORFUL REMINDERSHS on his fingers. he has been seen with a flute which he plays, though in a very silly and bad mannerHS. he is, however, an expert on the Eclectic BassHS. he has an interest in older cartoons, the Furry fandom, Nuclear physics, and high-tech gadgetry, and he is a skilled rifleman (though perplexingly, he alchemizes a Saiga shotgun).

he has repeatedly proven himself to be very brave and resourceful. he cares deeply about his friends and pushed John's dream self out of the wayHS of Prospit's Moon when it was crashing on the surface of Skaia. he values the ability to act in a crisis, as well as the ability to rise above his despair when others are counting on him. he becomes very frustrated when he, or some version of himself is unable or willing to help in a time of need. Despite his generally positive and plucky demeanor, he has been shown to be impatient and rather insensitive when it comes to handling the emotions of others when they are being particularly difficult. Notable examples are Karkat, Jadensprite (though this was largely due to his disappointment in himself), John on his 15th birthday (HS - HS), and Dave when trying to force him to face Lord English.

Jaden, like several other characters, has his own unique loading screen for flash animations about him, featuring a slowly spinning mechanical flower and his silly green font. However, during his Strife with his GrandpaHS, this is replaced with a second loading screen featuring a portrait of his dream self hanging over a purple and yellow fireplace mantle.

Jaden's title is the Witch of Space, which is very appropriate, considering his pet Bec's (and later, his own) ability to warp space at will. Befitting his title, he appears to be very knowledgeable about physics, casually talking to John about relativity, frames of reference, and the physical laws of different universesHS. This knowledge could have been enhanced or granted to him by his ascension to his god tier form, which merged him with Becquerel and Jadensprite.

Jaden lives on a strange island with his Grandpa, despite him being dead. Jaden's house is a giant tower next to the volcano on his island, which was discovered by Grandpa. It is filled with high-tech gadgets that appear to have somehow originated from Prospit. Living in isolation like this would explain his lack of pop-cultural knowledge and enthusiasm. In the real world, Google Maps indeed shows an underwater feature of approximately 15 by 25km, in the general area of Winslow Reef, Pheonix Islands, Kiribati in the South Pacific. The structure is peculiarly rectangular and compass-aligned, and could possibly represent some kind of mapping or data error.

Jaden owns a Dreambot, one of the first Robots to appear in the comics. He used it frequently to interact with his friends while still asleep.

Jaden's Fetch modus is not data structure-based like the other kids'. Instead, he opts for Modi based on children's games like Pictionary and Memory. he has an uncanny knackHS for guessing the cards on the Memory Modus correctly on his first try. his Strife Specibus is riflekind; he is a skilled marksman with a supply of firearms that his Grandpa insists he carry with him when leaving the house.

Unique among the chums, Jaden is evidently not a gamer. he has been shown to have a very excitable personality and he loves to plaster his pesterings with a large number of exclamation points and emoticons. Jaden has Pesterchum Enamel, a version of Pesterchum which advertises itself as being much shinier! Along with having the chumhandles of John, Dave, and Rose, he also has a Trollslum with all of the trolls, despite at least two of them refusing to ever troll any of the kids.

After ascending to the god tiers and subsuming Jadensprite he inherited the dog traits from Jadensprite which he in turn had inherited from Becquerel, as well as inheriting their sprite and first guardian powers later discussed and demonstrated in-comic (HS, HS). These traits include a dog's instincts such as chasing and barking at cats, as Jaden did to JasperspriteHS.

It's implied that among Jaden's darkest desiresHS was to confront Dave about the flaws that he perceived him to haveHS, and even though he was mind-controlled by the Condesce at the time, he still felt apologetic about the whole incident.

he dresses in a long-sleeve white shirt with a blue dog symbol on it, a dark blue pair of dress pants, short black hair and tan skin, black glasses, green eyes, and white shoes. Jaden is trans, female to male, so he uses he/him pronouns but still has female genitalia.
