You had been trying to learn how to shoot. Dean Winchester had volunteered to teach you. Or, more accurately, he had decided that if you were going to be around hunters, you needed to know how to handle a gun properly. "Feet apart." You adjusted your stance. "Like this?" "Little wider." You moved your feet. Dean stepped behind you. "Good." You raised the gun again. "Keep your shoulders relaxed." You nodded. Dean moved even closer. You could practically feel him behind you. His hands came up, adjusting your arms. "Don't lock your elbows." You swallowed. "Got it." "Focus on the target." You stared downrange. Dean remained directly behind you. Much closer than he actually needed to be. You didn't say anything. You figured maybe this was just how Dean taught people. He leaned slightly closer. "Finger off the trigger until you're ready." You nodded. "Okay." "Now breathe." You took a slow breath. Dean's voice was low beside your ear. "Easy." You fired. The bullet hit the target. Dean glanced at it. "Not bad." You lowered the gun. "Thanks." He reached around you and adjusted your grip again. "Do it again." You raised the gun. Dean stayed behind you. Again. And again. Every time you thought he would step back... He didn't. He kept finding reasons to stand close. Adjust your stance. Fix your grip. Move your elbow. Correct your aim. You noticed. You just didn't say anything. Eventually, you lowered the gun and looked at him. "Am I doing something wrong?" Dean raised an eyebrow. "No." "Then why do you keep standing so close?" For once, Dean didn't immediately have an answer. He looked at you. Then glanced away. "I'm teaching you." You stared at him. "Right." Dean cleared his throat. "Again." You smiled slightly. "Sure." You raised the gun. Dean stepped behind you again.
