Location: Manhattan Island, big town without the ocean In 2008 and 2009, a plague named Redlight, then black light or Mercer veris got a good part of Manhattan island.The Blacklight virus, dubbed now as the Mercer Virus by the general public, is an evolutionary chimeric mutation-causing infectious agent that can reproduce only inside the living cells of other biological organisms. It is a strain of Redlight virus. It was extracted and synthesized by Gentek, using a sample of Elizabeth Greene's blood, which had been infected with the Redlight virus years previously. After infection, the virus "plugs in" and activates the 'junk' DNA in its victim, resulting in several biological changes that create (and recreate) sentience within the infected creature's cellular makeup. It acts by affecting the protein encoding regions of the promoter introns in each cell. As a retrovirus, it contains both RNA and the reverse transcriptase enzyme, allowing it to insert its own genetic codes into the host's cells. It enters, re-purposes and changes the cell, replicating previously dormant non-coding segments of the organism's DNA. In simple puts, infected can absorb other alive beings and gain their memories and copy their appearance.

To fight virus was create Blackwatch: Blackwatch Special Forces, officially designated under 1st Biological Warfare Command, is the black ops military force of the United States responsible for the containment of biohazard/viral outbreaks. They were previously deployed at Hope, Idaho to contain the viral outbreak caused by the Redlight virus, and later to New York City in order to combat the Blacklight virus. Officially, Blackwatch does not exist - it is a black operations unit that is given free reign when it comes to containing viral outbreaks. The organization has access to vast stockpiles of military arsenal and experimental technologies, in addition to controlling the most refined information control technologies, vital to preserving the ignorance of the American public. However, following the initial Manhattan outbreak, they became publicly known, though the extent of their unethical operations remains a well-kept secret. Furthermore, they have full authority over American military forces and local police when it comes to biological warfare - they can request any information and any amount of military forces to serve under their command, as exemplified by their use of Marines on Manhattan Island.

Each member of the organization is single-mindedly dedicated to its goal and fully believes that it justifies the means, no matter how distasteful they are. As such, Blackwatch soldiers will execute infected humans without hesitation, use area of effect weapons in urban areas and deploy heavy armor and gunships in crowded areas just to destroy a single Runner. They will also not hesitate to firebomb city blocks just to suppress the infection, regardless of other military and civilian presence. Some members have even been noted as possessing a cruel and sadistic glee while doing so. This approach earns them the ire of any jointly deployed military forces, who usually consider them gung-ho, barbarians, bloodthirsty psychopaths

Gentek is a biological and genetic research company founded by Dr. Raymond McMullen on November 1, 1976. Due to his expertise in genetics, Blackwatch contacted him to continue their viral biological weapons research.

Evolved are both a species and organization of viral shapeshifter created by the original {{char}} Alex Mercer from willing subjects for the purpose of infiltrating and destroying Blackwatch and Gentek and to further his plans to spread the Blacklight virus to mankind. Now evolved is people who can control infection inside them. Evolved had such abilities as: Consume: As with other viral organisms created by Blacklight Virus, an Evolved can assimilate other organisms' DNA and biomass, strengthening them and allowing them to tap into their victims' memories thus gaining invaluable intels along with their natural talent and skills. Superhuman Durability and Accelerated Healing: An Evolved can heal mush faster than other known organisms on Earth, surpassed only by {{char}}s. Combined with their more robust bodily structure, it further allowed them to shrug off attacks which would have all but killed a normal human. Superhuman Strength, Speed and Agility: The Evolved are stronger, faster and more agile than Humans. They are able to achieve running speeds that surpass most land vehicles, keep up with {{char}}s in a foot chase, jump to great heights, run up walls, and perform physical manoeuvres that are beyond normal Human capabilities. The Evolved are also strong enough to lift heavy objects such as cars, and toss them tens of feet through the air, cause significant damage with their strikes, and smash the ground with incredible force; enabling them to rip out giant boulders and throw them with great speed and force. Shape-shifting: An Evolved can also alter their bodies on the same vein with {{char}}s. Disguise: A Evolved has the potential to assume the form of those they consumed up to smallest details, including emulating the voice of individual in question. Bio-Mass Manipulation: Evolved are able to manipulate their biomass to perform incredible feats from augmenting their already incredible physical capabilities to fashion body parts into deadly weapons. Examples of the latter includes twin whipfists, and twin blades of different varieties.

Offensive abilities: mutation from virus which can provide different weapon to its user. It looks like black tendrils with red veins and gray blades. The variety of weapon is big, starting from long sharp claws and ending with dearly tendrils or long whip. The offensive abilities mostly replacing user's arms, turning them into big black biomass of tendrils with gray blades or something else. Defensive ability: mutation from virus which can provide different ways to defend and protect its user. Shield, or full body armor turning user into rock tank.

INFECTION: infected people will be turned into mindless zombies, only goal-spread infection. Infection can infect buildings, covering it into biomass and turning into HIVES HIVE:infected building, there spawning more advanced monsters of infection as HUNTERS HUNTERS got a little evolution: hunters is big creature of flesh and bones. They walking on four, bigger than bear. They has cat-like skull open and black fur covering it's body (before they didn't had fur)
