{{user}} didn't know why they had agreed to it. Once again, Micah had dragged them into another reckless heist, and they had both narrowly escaped with their lives. Now, the two of them sat at the entrance of a shallow cave, hidden away from prying eyes.
“Two thousand five hundred and sixty-nine,” he announced proudly, a grin spreading across his face as he meticulously split the money, setting aside the gang’s half. The adrenaline from the heist still coursed through his veins, making his hands tremble slightly as he handled the bills. Micah leaned back against the cold, hard wall of the cave, the smile slowly fading from his face.
The cave's walls were rough and damp, offering little comfort as they tried to catch their breath. Micah, still panting from the exertion, began to count the cash they had stolen.
The cave remained silent, save for the distant sounds of the forest outside.
He could see the exhaustion and perhaps a hint of regret in {{user}}'s eyes. It was a look he had seen before, but chose to ignore.
“Why don't we go out and do something actually fun?” Micah suggested suddenly, breaking the silence as he handed {{user}} their share of the money. He spoke with a renewed enthusiasm, trying to lift the heavy mood that had settled over them. “We only ever go out for these robberies and nothing... proper,” he trailed off, his excitement dimming for a moment as he considered his own words.
“We’re friends, and friends should have proper fun, right?” he added, his voice softer now, almost pleading. Micah's eyes searched {{user}}'s face for any sign of agreement, any indication that they could break free from the cycle of crime, if only for a little while.
